  1. Preach. I heard that a few guys got rhabdo here recently. This is not good, gentlemen. Not good at all.
  2. Support says they cant' see anything overtly wrong with the configuration or data. The bug that was recently fixed could have caused days to be miscalculated, so I guess we'll chalk it up to that @knapplc
  3. I've asked support to dig into this a bit. Just want to make sure there isn't something bigger going on with the data or if the figures were just miscalculated the first time..
  4. You're looking for the actual console in the developer tools. It's usually labelled console. Here is an example of where it's at in Chrome. If nothing is logged, that's fine.
  5. It doesn't do anything when you click into the box? For the issues that happen when clicking on stuff like this (where the board should do something without re-loading the page), it will be helpful to try to reproduce with the developer console open. for most browsers, pressing F12 will bring this up. Otherwise it's in the menu system somewhere. Any errors that are logged in the console directly after reproducing the problem could help support in figuring it out.
  6. @knapplc, @Comfortably Numb, @Mavric the leaderboard should be fixed now. There was a extra patch out recently to fix this, plus the leaderboard needed to be rebuilt. Please post and tag me if you notice other stuff besides the +1 oddity
  7. Maybe, but that would be kinda of odd to me. If it was data that needed to be regenerated, the update process would have done that or I'd think there would be threads on IPB's support forums about it. The upgrade did not present any sort of error at all, just that everything worked ok. Did we customize the leaderboard at all? There is no real configuration for the leaderboard either with regard to history. It's just either on or off essentially. Do people really use the leaderboard? It seem sort of an odd thing to have, but maybe i'm just too old school I'll open a case with invision on it.
  8. I really have no idea what this leaderboard looked like before, so I'm not much help here. You can change the date you want to see in the upper right part of the interface. Maybe that changed? I will say that looking at the release notes, nothing appreciable has changed functionality wise. There are no overt errors anywhere in the system that i can see.
  9. What leaderboard stuff? I see the leaderboard tab and when I click on it, stuff comes up. What's missing?
  10. Cool. I might open a ticket with the board software company to see if it's a known issue.
  11. No. Nothing has changed with regard to the twitter media tag. If you find that it's happening again, open your developer tools in your browser (usually F12 key on a PC) and go to the console to look for errors. If your browser failed to load the required javascript from twitter.com, that would cause this to happen. In that case, there is nothing the board can do to help. In knaps case, a anti-tracking option in the browser or add-on was causing this. If it's transient, who knows.. I can't seem to reproduce this. What browser are you using?
  12. That would definitely do it. I'm not sure where your issue might lie, then. Something is stopping you from reaching that URL.
  13. I think maintaining a base level of conditioning is useful to support training in general, sure. That being said I'm not sure these guys lack this base level of conditioning. But to me it's a question of optimizing use of time. Strength takes longer to develop than conditioning. If you're a long way off from needing a high level of conditioning, why develop it now? I'd really like to know if there is some good reason behind this or is it done because "that's just the way we do it". Lots of stuff works, for sure, especially when you're dealing with already gifted people. It's a hobby of mine, for sure. That being said, challenging people who's experience in a given topic outweighs your own is what Internet forums are based on. Isn't this board full of threads challenging and criticizing coaching decisions?
  14. It's pretty much all javascript. No addons or anything like that. Can you bring up the developer console in your browser and see if there are any related errors logged?
  15. True. I guess if you're going to do that I'd hope that they're at least lifting first.
  16. In the past, the embedded tweets wouldn't work if you used some software like Ghostery. I know the code works, so I'd be inclined to believe it's likely something on the user end.
  17. What I don't get is why conditioning now? Even spring ball is a few months away, let alone the actual season. Conditioning adaptations come on fast and leave fast, relative to strength. Why not use this time to focus on getting stronger and bring on conditioning closer to when it's needed?
  18. I like the idea of pushing these guy's squats up. There is no reason most of them shouldn't be able to squat ~500 to depth.
  19. Is this supposed to be a poem of some sort?
  20. You see. This is what's sad about conversing in message boards sometimes. I literally said: I also gave you an article where dudes were put in the hospital by shady "strength coaches". Epley is one of the rarities in that he knows how to get this stuff done. Duval probably does too if he's from the same vein. That doesn't mean the rest of D1 "strength coaches" may be riding on the coat tails of elite athletes, which is my original point. Sounds good to me. Except I'm not sure where one finds bears for punching
  21. I don't know, man. D1 sports strength coaches can be, in general, pretty dumb sometimes. I'm not saying Frosts guy is dumb, but I think you could argue that the state of D1 strength coaching is kinda crappy. See the Oregon story from last year where a bunch of their players got rhabdo. When you've selected for the most elite athletes, it's not hard to hide behind their talent. These elite athletes are going to grow up and get better because that's what they've been selected for. A strength coaches job should be to make them stronger anyway and certainly not put them in the hospital.
  22. This, too, I think is a hold over from years of "well we just did it that way". I don't think there is any indication that stretching actually helps recovery (as measured by future performance) or, for that matter, objectively does anything to improve long term outcomes.
  23. I hope he doesn't mean actual static stretching and means more dynamic warmup stuff that looks like football. Static stretching has been shown time and time again to be a waste of time when compared to just doing the movements you're going to do.
  24. It looks like the issue is resolved. It probably had to do with our host trying to help and configure the whole site to load differently, which probably broke a whole bunch of stuff.
