This was brought up in the "UCLA..." thread, and I mentioned that I agree with this writer. Did anyone else watch the UCLA game? Rice is probably the worst team in D1 football, or at least is in the running for worst. That's who UCLA played, and UCLA looked mediocre. Rice was moving the ball well on UCLA until Rice's starting QB got hurt in the 2nd quarter. That's a bad sign for UCLA. Now it's just one game, and the first game under Mora at that, but NU might score 70 on UCLA if the teams play like they did.

Taylor's 26-34 says hello. That's 74.5% for those of you keeping score at home. Now the question obviously is: can he maintain that over the course of the season? I think if he stays the course and continues to work on and perfect his footwork and mechanics then I see absolutely no reason whatsoever why Taylor can't be a 70% passer this season. FYI: 26 of 34 is 76.5%

Man, Husker fans are hard to please. D made good halftime adjustments and only gave up 13 points the whole game. Offense rolled all day without our best player. Things are looking good. On another note, if UCLA doesn't get a lot better on defense, NU is going to score 70 on them.
