  1. Oh, you never know. Our 2004 WR class had 3* Nunn, 3* Swift and a walk on named Peterson. I see some great things in film from Bell and Enuwa, if they both take a year to learn the system I can see some really great things coming from them. Oh quite right. Those guys could be diamonds in the rough. I just dream of scoring a Julio Jones or A.J. Green-type who are goto WRs from the time they set foot on campus. One of those guys may develop into something like that, but I don't think they will crack the lineup for awhile. (Definitely have a chance to contribute on special teams early.) And as far as gets, Safety was a big need and pulling Cooper has to rate up there.
  2. They did very well for the most part, but Nebraska offered over 30 WRs. I'm guessing the coaches saw it is a position of need. I don't think the results in that area merit praise.
  3. If the links weren't on there, I'd guess DeathCult made him up.
  4. Interesting how coverage of some guys falls off the map.
  5. Seems like everyone stopped recruiting him at some point.
  6. Anyone know whatever happened with this guy?
  7. For those of you who are not members, I encourage you join!

  12. Well if we are moving towards Alabama's offense, they are still getting 4 and 5 WRs so we should be able to find some interest.
  13. Carl Crawford choosing baseball pretty much killed those teams. But of course, recruiting doesn't matter.
  14. There was definitely a lull at the end of the summer that appears to be attributed to staff's effort. I think the lesson was learned.
  15. Maybe scout team depth at QB? I think he finds himself out of his element fairly quickly and will make the move after next year's Spring practice.
  16. I believe his measurables are off. I don't think he runs a 4.45 after watching a lot of his film, that is too low for him. I believe him to be in the 4.55-4.6 range, not the recorded 4.45. After watching film of athletes like prince who was only a 4.5 40, sub 4.5's and 4.5's flat appear to be a lot more explosive and faster high end than bell. Not saying he isn't fast, but not as fast as his measurables report. The Fro was slowing him down. Needs to shave that, get more aerodynamic.
  17. The issue may be one of focus. If you totally concentrate locally, you will not have enough players to fill the class. If you focus on Texas, there are more than enough players to fill the team. As far as economics, you can see as much talent in a weekend in Dallas or Houston as you would across the 5 or 6 other states. Saves a ton of travel time. Ideally wee don't lose guys from Kansas to Miami and guys from Colorado to UCLA, but you can't get everyone.
  18. An interesting angle. I think that makes the return to LSU for Bo mentioned in a speculative article in the Big 12 blog makes more sense. Just like some of the guys wouldn't leave southern schools for Notre Dame (the alleged dream job), would it be a place like LSU and the recruiting hot beds near by which eventually draws him? We may find out soon as Michigan may change course and this time Les Miles will follow through.
  19. Ideally you get the best players in a 500 mile radius because you should have an advantage over Texas or Ohio State for those guys instead of having to compete with them on their own turf. So when you lose them to Colorado or some other second rate program like Missouri, you are weakening yourself.
  20. If only there was a forum for discussing recruiting. Oh wait, there is!
  21. Well, I suppose wherever Utah and Utah State are, those towns stand still, but what happened to UCLA, Washington, Cal?
