  1. Can we just go under center and pound it on the 1 yd line and not have to hope for a pass interference to bail us out?
  2. Underwhelming at this point. But I'm confident Frost and 2AM will get this thing going. Defense is suspect at this point.
  3. I'm going to go ahead and assume any sort of block that de-cleats someone is going to get called. It'll be interesting to see how this impacts offensive play calling, especially with pulling linemen or reverses. It could effectively ruin the ability to run mis-direction plays.
  4. He was only a Freshman last year so a year in the weight room along with understanding and being more comfortable with the plays certainly can result in him being faster. I'm excited for sure.
  5. One could argue part of that temper is what made him so great.....on the field.
  6. When is the last time Iowa State was a pre-season top 25? Thats gotta be a first for them.
  7. The BTN2go app is being discontinued? I hadnt heard that, but will suck if true.
  8. Given Ritchie's well documented history of violence and just being an All-American A-hole....I totally believe it. Loved the dudes intensity and miss it, but that guy is a couple bricks short of a load. My all-time favorite Incognito story (completely true) is where he wanted to cut off his dead father's head at a funeral home....jeezuz. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/police-report-richie-incognito-wanted-to-cut-off-his-dead-fathers-head-at-funeral-home/
  9. 83 wins every time due to the 09 offense being disgustingly terrible. A great match-up of teams not to win the title would be 83 vs 93. Both dominate only to fall short in the Orange Bowl.
  10. Hopefully they get an ice cream break after all that work.
  11. That's alright, we don't have to agree. We can both agree we want to win though. How we win doesn't really matter to me.
  12. I didn't necessarily mean "live" on Jucos. But I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 of them in his first couple years. There will be transfers out regardless and Miles may have left some talent but that talent may not necessarily fit what Hoiberg wants to do either. Just understand Hoiberg will take chances on low character guys to get the ball rolling.......and I'm OK with that. He's proven in the respect to be able to get troubled guys to stay somewhat out of trouble and play solid basketball. (ex. Royce White)
  13. Out of the gate for the 1st couple years Hoiberg will go heavy on the JUCO's, then transition to the longer term depth. Expect him to take risks on guys that may not be the most upstanding citizens. That could be a little uncomfortable for this fanbase. However, if you want to win and win quickly its a necessity and you have to be ok with it for a little while. Good read here. Key statement: “We did, no doubt, take some risks,” says assistant coach Matt Abdelmassih. “But we did our due diligence, we got all our background work, and we determined that the rewards were a lot greater than those risks.”
  14. Well now I'm concerned....maybe i shouldn't be, but i would not have expected that timeline. I also would not have expected a flat "No" on potential candidates. I would have hoped for a "we have a short list."
  15. Not to mention basketball can be turned around very quickly. A couple of guys in one recruiting cycle can make a massive difference. Whereas with football it can take years to get all the pieces in place.
  16. Anyone watching the presser want to give a play by play?
