  1. As good as our defense is, they can still be a lot better. OU was moving the ball quite effectively on us a few times, and crossing routes with Murray and others were good for 10+ yards at a time. Once Bo gets the players he wants, and we establish even more depth, we may see a defense the likes of which has never been seen in this state before.
  2. The only way you can possibly hope to beat USC in a bowl game is to have Vince Young, and even then it is close.
  3. I said earlier in the game after a tackle that Larry Asante is going to break his neck if he keeps playing the way that he is, and about 15 minutes later he leads with his head and goes down afterwards. I love his intensity but he needs to play while using his head to think and not to hit.
  4. How much better is K State then the K State who lost to Louisiana Lafayette (who we beat 55-0)?
  5. We didn't do anything...our football team did. (And the crowd helped, so if you are superstitious then make sure you are loud for every home game.)
  6. So epoc works for huskervision?
  7. What exactly do you call it when you start a thread putting people down and putting words in their mouth saying that they claimed his career was over, when nobody made such claims? As far as I can see, you are doing the exact same thing you are calling out.
  8. I agree with Overland. The Nebraska rendition of the halfback pass was one of my favorite parts of the modernized offense. Anytime we would get within the 30-20 yard line, and lined up in trips right you knew it was coming, but the other team never did.
  9. lol! Oh yeah, 2007 had an offense that was capable of getting lots of garbage points due to all the huge blowout losses. Indeed, what a "scoring explosion" it was. Like the incredible "six" points it stormed Missouri with. Or the mindblowing "14" points it got vs those steel curtain defenses of TAM & OSU. Wow! But yes, it was a marvel to see the terrific 31, 39 & 51 points we got when we were hopelessly massacred by USC, Kansas and Colorado. haha...like the USC game when we were down 42-10 going into the 4th qtr.....hey, it's "garbage time"!! And the final score of 49 - 31 almost looks respectable. Great!! We also scored 51 against Nevada, 41 against Ball State, 35 against Iowa State, 25 against Texas, and 73 against Kansas State. Stats are stats. Saying "those stats wouldn't be like that if ____________" is ridiculous, because it isn't what happened, and stats are always skewed. Also, Keller wasn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. He finished the 2007 season throwing 63.1% for 2422 yards and 14 touchdowns through 9 games, a lot better than Taylor's first year.
  10. Last year we made ABC/ESPN for Va Tech, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado I believe. This year, it will be Va Tech, Missouri, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado for sure, possibly Kansas State.
  11. Do us a favor and get in your time machine and get out of 2008 and fast forward to the present
  12. I was thinking Bo should implement an idea from the scene in "The Program" where Darnell Jefferson has to walk around campus with the football and if anyone other than him brings it back to coach there will be hell to pay. Except to add a twist to this, i think Bo should make all of the offensive skill position guys carry a ball around campus and not limit it to the defense to try and get those balls back but send out an all campus APB that if any student brings that ball back they have a starting position. Actually, Bo DID[/] implement this in Fall camp...guess it doesn't work in real life.
  13. Why would someone wondering out loud about something change our opinions of Bo and/or Watson? If Watson is pulling for Green than I'm behind him. It's really pissing me off more and more that Bo keeps insisting that Green's not ready. New flash Bo: Neither is Lee! So why exactly would you start Cody Green over Zac Lee if neither of them are ready... He's a better runner? Well, he's definitely a worse passer. If they are both unable to be good quarterbacks at this level, then it is a toss up and I will let the coaches decide which one of the not-ready quarterbacks should play.
  14. You mean exactly what our coaching staff has been doing? Bo has been the first to say that he got outcoached, or we got outplayed, and that things need to be fixed, etc. etc. etc. What exactly do you want? As far as Lee not having "it" to be a QB, maybe that is correct, but that doesn't mean that Cody Green does. It is unfortunate, but maybe we just do not have a quarterback on our roster who doesn't have what it takes right now. Cody Green is a dual threat sure, but in the Texas Tech game I saw some throws that were really awful (two badly overthrown, a pick, and two others that could have been). Judging by what I have seen in games, he is not ready, and you have to think that it is the same story in practice otherwise he would be getting playing time. The coaches aren't idiots..
  15. AF Husker Fan is right, maybe the ejection doesn't fit exactly how HARD or FEROCIOUSLY he tried hitting him, but a punch is a punch, even if it was girly, and the rules say that is grounds for ejection.
  16. I noticed them being yellow last week too, and whatever the reason is I think it looks pretty awful.
  17. I had a dream on Tuesday that Larry Asante was the starting quarterback...so hopefully these don't mean anything!
  18. Whichever one you feel more comfortable with, and that appeals to you more. Each has several pros and cons, and neither can be definitively said to be better than the other.
  19. Silas Fluellen has a higher quarterback rating than him!
  20. Finally saw fit to get rid of my Lucky sig (ie, stopped being lazy). Thoughts?
  21. Now did you take this picture or did somebody send this to you? If you took this picture I'm assuming that you go to UNL. It's on his Facebook.
