@Landlord I agree, I think you're spot on. It's more me just lamenting that he could be a really endearing individual if he tried.

Enjoy. This is like pre-pre-Alpha.

hyper replay analyzation is ruining certain elements of sports and their outcomes

I agree that hyper replays are ruining the game experience. There are a few faults with it imo.
1- They are wasting too much time in the process. There should be a much more limited window for them to review.
2- Some of the stuff they are reviewing is ridiculous. This is basically #1 complaint again but some of these pinky touches etc. need to be skipped.
3- People/Fans/Viewers need to once again accept that human error and referee imperfection is an integral part of the game.
I think a lot of this perception is driven by how the TV broadcast crew handles it. It probably wouldn’t seem near as bad if they just wouldn’t show 6 different angles at varying slo mo speeds down to frame by frame, talking constantly and bringing in “experts” etc. Just say it’s under review, go to commercial, and let us know the result when play resumes. I don’t need Dean Blandino or whoever in the F is back in New York to provide his hot take. Of course I was happy without a playoff in CFB too.....

@The Dude I think having replay is a good thing, but in every sport there should be a limit and the coaches decide. 3 per half or whatever.

Clemson is 67-4 over the last five years (potential to be 69-4). As impressive as 93-97 Nebraska? If they win the natty this year, they would've been one Syracuse loss away from 70-3. Wow.

@MLB 51 You could say that about a lot of coaches that have brought in talent. A HC #1 job is to recruit and hire great staff around them. He has done that along with winning a lot of game, and it makes him a great HC.
@The Dude Don't sound like Michigan fans and make excuses. Long ago Nebraska put the resources in place in areas such as S&C, they were mentally and physically stronger than most teams they played at the time, and they took advantage of the rules that were in place. They simply invested in key areas which other schools weren't at the time. Other teams are doing the same things now and have surpassed what Nebraska built long ago.
-
@jaws it appears you've missed understood me. I'm saying Nebraska had one the greatest dynasties in the history of the game despite having natural disadvantages that don't exist at places like Clemson and Alabama.
It's kind of like an excuse, except the exact opposite.

Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

Does anyone else have a hunch that Moos might have pulled in a huge favor or connection to manipulate gameday and primetime to be here? How long has he had this planned?

@Minnesota_husker we had people on here telling us the time and day that the announcement would come, and it was before any announcement of Gameday.
-
@Minnesota_husker I do agree that it seems a little odd that they don’t have anything interior yet. But the story is they had circled this weekend this summer because of Ohio State. GameDay was just a bonus. I had seen reports of roughly this timeframe at least a month ago.

Dude the black shoes and red socks are giving me a massive 2001 uniform boner. Me likey.

Frost effortlessly worked in a reference to the Husker Prayer in answering a question during his opening press conference about what success is - "Day by day, we're gonna get better and better"

Georgia did the same 'turn every screen in the stadium pure red' thing that we did, but they turned the field lights off. I think it's about 50x cooler than ours was and we need to do it immediately. Like, Saturday night?

i missed it live - how did the martinez tip play get ruled a safety? illegal batting of the ball or something? seems bogus

I'm only explaining what the announcers said during the game. Possession is ruled differently for runners and receivers as we have seen many times. At some point the rules makers determined this would be the rule for a QB who catches his own batted pass. If he catches it he has to then be a runner and cannot pass forward a second time. If he chose to pass a second time outside the end zone it would be a penalty but in the end zone it is ruled a safety.
