  1. Brad Smith, had better stats that Vince Young's "the greatest quarterback performance of our time" championship game..
  2. I actually used to be "the" editor of the Zac Taylor page during the 2006 season, I made the entire thing and kept updating it until about the Missouri game, so whoever took over for me is totally not as good!
  3. If you're talking about the bottom it's called Currently Living, if you're talking about the overlaying, see-through text that is Thirsty For Souls

  5. Wow.......potential to be amazing.
  6. How many 40+ yard field goals was he given a chance on? I know I saw him make 2 in his career, and I can only recall ever watching him kick 4 or 5 (but that is just off memory), anyone care to give me stats? Our coaching staff didn't give him as much of a chance as they should have, imo. but i don't know the whole story, which is why it's just my opinion
  7. You guys seem to only be looking at one side of the depth at quarterback, because to me it seems like it's a double-edged sword. Having all these really good quarterbacks might not be such a good thing. Let's imagine that Lee, Witt and Gabbert all develop the way they should and all show promise. This means that we will have a 1 year starter this year (Keller), a 1 year starter next year (Lee), a 1 MAYBE 2 year starter after that (Witt), and then Gabbert afterwards. The first problem this projects is that the offense is going to have to learn to be comfortable with something unfamiliar, every year. The second problem is that all of these awesome quarterbacks are not going to like only starting for 1 year and sitting on the bench until that time when they could be starting somewhere else (this should be obvious, since Sam Keller DID transfer to Nebraska ). To be honest I am kind of worried about how this will pan out, and I personally am looking for Lee to start next year, and then I hope that Gabbert develops quick enough to be a 3 year starter. That would be my ideal situation.
  8. I don't understand... Since when did Zachary Bowman become Nebraska's personification of the Messiah? The guy just is not as good as so many of you make him out to be. I'm sure the team would be improved with him, and that he would probably perform better than Grixby (assuming he can even get back into the feel of things, we have no idea how easy the process will be for him to start feeling comfortable again, just look at Herian.), but I think that the improvement will be only a little above minimal. How many good games did Zac have in 2005? Two? What kind of player that has two good, solid games in his entire career gets praised as the difference between wins and losses? It's ludicrous. He showed flashes of greatness, and he showed promise. Then he got hurt, twice. Those injuries could easily ruin what COULD HAVE been a great corner.
  9. Maybe the coaches see something special in this guy..
  10. You know, I'm really surprised we are able to pull as many players out of California as we do. As much of bandwagoners as USC fans are, I would really think that every high school kid around there would be like "OMG BEST SCHOL EVAR MADE", unless their family raise them differently. Anyways, I don't think we'll realistically have much of a shot here.
  11. I can just picture Blaine Gabbert calling this guy up... Blaine: HEY BIG GUY! Simi: ........ Blaine: So listen, you should totally transfer to nebraska!!! Simi: ........ Blaine: Not sure? I understand man, I really do. But seriously dude, you won't regret it. They are putting together one of the best recruiting classes ever at that school, it is going to be absolutely absurd. Simi: ........ Blaine: OH! I almost forgot. There is this new kicker, his name is Adi Kunalic, I know it's not an exact match but your guys' names sound AWFULLY alike and I think you two would really hit it off. He's kind of a twitchy little guy, obviously unlike you (looks up at Simi's massiveness), but he's really a good guy. Simi: ........i want eat. Blaine: Oh yeah? Did I mention this amazing cafeteria they have and all the awesome places to eat in Lincoln???
  12. Actually, I love it when we have players that everyone doesn't think are all that great, and they end up doing some wonderful things. That way, it seems much more impressive. I mean everyone EXPECTS USC to be amazing since they seem to sign the nation's top 5 players every year, so the expectations are enormous. We, on the other hand, have a knack for finding the unnoticed guys and developing them into 4-5 star material, which seems to be the better route, at least to me.
  13. I am almost positive that Crouch was a 3 star....I swear I remember seeing that somewhere.
  14. not to mention our current 4 star pledges that should and/or very well could be 5 stars. Blaine Gabbert anyone? Also, I like how everyone says the Big XII sucks so bad, when we have 4 of the top 10 recruiting classes so far.
  15. I thought the same thing, BUT, Will Ferrell is about 20 timse funnier than Larry the Cable Guy, so I would agree with HSKRNOKC
  16. If he's going outside to DE I'm not sure I like that 40 time so much, but he looks like a hell of a prospect!
  17. I think we deserve to get him, just because of his similarity in name to Adi Kunalic.
