  1. my Dad passed Jan 11th 2018 around the time that it was announced that Scott Frost going to be the new Head Coach. I had hopes as well as many Husker fans that this was going to be the righting of the ship. Thunderstorms, Covid and all sorts of things seemed to rear their evil heads as if the football gods had it out for Nebraska and Frost. If it's one thing Nebraska always knew how to do, is overcome adversity. However, Nebraska never really had that awakening victory. The should wins were played to close other games Nebraska seemed to play down to their competition and almost not lose. I have a nervous excitement with Mickey Joseph. This is more than just a fill in for a bowl game. this is the opportunity to finish out the season the right way. I am hoping to see a fire in the eyes of the Cornhuskers that hasn't been there for a while
  2. Coach Mickey Joseph Press Conference, early notes: We are going to tackle in practice Told the players to block out all the noise in the media and what they are hearing Going to pick up the tempo "we have 9 games left, we can win those 9 games by taking them 1 game at a time" I have a feeling this coach is going to be very energetic on the field and not just stationary. I have a great feeling about this week already
  3. Ok, so Frost is gone. The head coach is now Mickey Joseph. Where do we go from here? Do we consider it a wash, or do we rally behind this team 100% and keep them fired up for the remaining 9 games? WE are still Nebraska Cornhusker Fans. Depending on how this plays out, Mickey Joseph should be in contention for the Head Coaching Job. We still bleed Scarlet Red Be LOUD, be PROUD and hold your heads up high. Let the cheers outweigh the boos in the Stadium.
  4. I'm hoping that the team has sat and watched video on the 1983 Football team. One of the best ever.
  5. K State Football. Martinez is the starting QB. Still Throwing short passes. has a great Running Back, and so far, the Defense seems solid. Will be a true test when K State plays against Missouri.
  6. How to speak North Dakotan ( A guide for those who see any North Dakota Fans at tailgating) Ope: The staple of any good Midwestern vocabulary. If you bump into a Midwesterner you might hear this phrase uttered. If we mess up....well you might hear this phrase as well. Also interchangeable with the term “Oop” for our higher pitched Midwest folk. Dontcha know: a form of agreement Cornhole: It is the game of all tailgating champions where you pick your teammate and carefully throw a bag at a board, ‘bout 27 feet away, that has a hole cut out. Sink it and find your way to victory! Also known as bags. Oof: term expressing sympathy “Oof feel better” or “Oof that was a rough cornhole round" You betcha: A term of agreement. Many not from around here may say a simple yes; however, you betcha any true Midwest native will take the extra time for a good "You Betcha." Ope, I’m just gonna sneak right by ya: The most non-confrontational way to say excuse me Looks like a good day for Cornhole.
  7. I grew up in the 70s, 80s and 90s, knew of Tom Osborne, and no loess than 9 wins a season. My dad used to refer to the leaner years pre and early Bob Devaney.
  8. 0-1 but the season isn't over yet. I hope I don't speak for myself but I'm thinking this isn't the end of the world, and we still need to rally behind this team. they deserve 100 support. Lets root them on to 11-1 and beyond.
  9. move it down their throats and no more onside kicks
  10. Gotta remember this is game 1against a team that always plays Nebraska tough.
  11. Nebraska is playing tough smashmouth football, Northwestern is sucking wind
  12. Fox Pregame has yet to show the stands, I want to see the ton of red.
