I've watched a lot of people chummin' for bait at the railing. Not a fun thing when you're 8 hours from shore. Not drinking too much alcohol helps too. Although many think it's fine until they have to pay the price. Seems like people out bottom fishing around islands have more trouble than those drift fishing or trolling have.

I've sat on 2 jury trials. 1 a DUI and the other a DUI checkpoint. The checkpoint I think was heading to a higher court after we found them guilty. That was back in the 80's been lucky since. And now since my son is involved in the legal system in the same jurisdiction I doubt many defense attorneys would want me on the jury.

For those of us unversed in the legal system; when a witness is offered immunity from prosecution for his/her testimony, can that testimony be called into question?? I do understand the 5th Amendment but need further elucidation.

It would be nice to see if the legalization would cause change similar to what the end of prohibition did with alcohol. Taking huge profits out of the hands of POS's; and putting it in the hands of local, state and federal minions seems like a good idea. But there are other drugs that would substitute for gangsters to sell and make money on. meh I hope the Federal foot dragging about changing the laws isn't just a ploy to continue spending BILLIONS of dollars on DEA/DHS budgets.
