  1. Christians, didn't Jesus make a whip and rid the temple of people like this? This bible costs SIXTY DOLLARS.
  2. This has to be the 87th time you've posted this.
  3. Lake is focused on her Senate run. I think she knows she has a better chance of winning that than winning as a Veep for this candidate. There is zero chance Scott is the choice. Mostly because of his race. Not only does Orange Man Bad have a notorious racist streak, his likely voters are similarly racist. Rubio is probably the top candidate. He's a household name, he's Hispanic, he's tame.
  4. ISIS knows how brutal the Russians can be. I don't grasp why those guys would murder all of those people, then allow themselves to be taken alive. ISIS has used suicide bombers in the past. Surely it had to be better for these men to complete their mission, then suicide, rather than be taken alive to be tortured for... who knows how long.
  5. I was just going to do this but my contractor stopped over and I had to let them in.
  6. If you read through their explanation, the person simply guessed at more recent presidents. I would imagine that was posted because of the last ten people on that person's ranking.
  7. What is it about conservatives that make then so adamantly stand up for and play the victim for billionaires (and people who claim to be billionaires but obviously aren't)?
  8. Every vehicle on that stage was built by union labor.
  9. They were always going to do this.
  10. You're splaining at @Moiraine for something you pedantically told me you understand. She gets it. You get it. We all get it.
  11. You realize that's a direct quote from Dick Cheney in his daughter's new campaign ad, and not something the Babylon Bee made up as satire, right? The rest of the "article" is satire. That quote is from Dick. https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/d!(k-cheney-trump-threat-ad-b2138602.html
  12. You are correct. That was a bit of retconning from my memory.
  13. Remember when Graham posted this? He was vehemently against Orange Man Bad. And then suddenly... he wasn't. Wonder what they have on Lindsey that made him tuck tail and work for the guy who he said this about:
  14. That's a HUGE buyout. They clearly don't want Dannen to be looking around for a while. It's good he agreed to those terms. It means he wants to be here a while.
  15. I get that it can be frustrating watching the Huskers spin their wheels. I think the "hope springs eternal" of excitement over new hires is pretty normal for fans invested in their teams, and it's pretty universal among fans of every team - unless, like Riley or Pederson or Callahan, people truly know immediately that these were bad hires. It's part of the joy and pain of being a sports fan. Let's hope we're not the Cubs of college football, waiting more than a century between championships.
  16. The Venn diagram of overlap on these statements is going to involve a LOT of circles. You're conflating the opinions of a lot of different people with your first points. If you can find a unicorn who holds every one of those opinions, maybe they'll answer for all of that. The second group of points is... regular sporting world stuff. Coaches are great until they're not. Most coaches don't get to retire from one job. Almost every coach gets fired. Bill Belichick got fired after winning six Super Bowls. That doesn't negate the success he had. I'm not sure what "bouncing ball" you're pointing out here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  17. You don't say. Lev Parnas: "I found precisely zero evidence of the Bidens' corruption in Ukraine. No credible source has ever provided proof of criminal activity, not the FBI, CIA nor the NSA. No respectable Ukrainian official has ever said that the Bidens did anything illegal, including former President Poroshenko and former prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko. Even when CEO Burisma Mykola Zlochevsky was offered a deal by Rudy Giuliani in exchange for information on the Bidens, he provided none, because there is none. The only information ever pushed on the Bidens in Ukraine has come from one source and one source only: Russia and Russian agents. The impeachment proceedings that bring us here now are predicated false information spread by the Kremlin."
  18. This seems to be a mutually welcome hire. As shocked as we were when Trev abruptly left, as it turns out... we may have upgraded ADs in just over a week. Matt Rhule: “I’m so fired up about this hire. Interim President Kabourek has found exactly the right person to lead the Huskers forward. Troy sees what we see – that Nebraska is a special place, with special people, a great vision and the courage to be unabashed about wanting to win across the board. The fact that someone of Troy’s caliber wants to join Team Nebraska will light a fire across our entire department. Let’s go!” Troy Dannen: “Joining the Nebraska family is truly an honor. My family and I are humbled by the opportunity to be part of such a proud athletics program, institution, community and state. Growing up in Iowa, I watched a lot of Nebraska football on Saturdays with my family. I’ve spent a lot of time in the state and I’ve found that we share a similar approach to life, work and sports: Work hard, stay humble, compete and expect to win. “There is a storied tradition at Nebraska, but more work to be done. I truly believe our best years are ahead of us. I couldn’t be more grateful to Interim President Chris Kabourek for this opportunity. Chris has championed an inspiring vision for excellence across the University of Nebraska and he and I are completely aligned on where Nebraska needs to go in the future. I look forward to doing my part to helping Nebraska win championships across the board, graduate our student-athletes and elevate the world-class reputation of the University of Nebraska. I can’t wait to arrive in Nebraska and get to work.”
  19. It's official. That was fast. Nearly one week ago, to the hour, Trev announced his departure for A&M. “From my first conversation with Troy Dannen, I knew he was a perfect fit for Nebraska. He is a fierce competitor, he holds himself and his programs to uncommonly high standards, and he cares personally about the success of student-athletes in sports, school and life. Troy sees the vision and momentum we have here at Nebraska, from our bold investments in facilities to our record success in the classroom to our bold plan to elevate our national reputation and competitiveness, and he is excited to be a part of it. I am thrilled that we’ve found someone who is 100% aligned with our high expectations and will be all-in on Nebraska.”
  20. Oddly, this does not seem to be the case. Which makes Trev's decision even more strange.
  21. So, the Lev Parnas testimony is not going well for Republicans...
