It would be good for college sports but we could lose a huge advantage over non big ten and sec schools and it’s vary possible that we would make less money at the same time
Agree. And especially when the article mentioned uneven revenue sharing, possibly by school or "conference", where would be Nebraska's seat at the table?
There'd have to be equal revenue sharing of TV income and even some levels of marketing income (NIL commercialization, t-shirts, and etc.) or 10-20 schools will always be gifted a financial advantage, and most of those schools probably already have the advantage of residing in the most fertile recruiting areas.

It would be interesting to know what entities would have the decision maker power.
Is it the conference commissioners? Would the conference schools get or have to vote on it?
Is it individual schools? Do the schools with the top 10% of brand revenue get to choose the model and revenue distribution?
Is it the television networks? Do they get to choose which schools most benefit financially?
Does the NCAA get a voice?
Who gets to decide who gets to decide?

Pay wall. Do you have a summary?
Essentially, the top 70 programs (basically the schools that made up what were the P5 conferences + a few others) would be split into 10 conferences/regions. An additional 10 schools (some G5 members) would appear in a relegation conference. Article doesn't explain how relegation would work for this conference. The initial 70 would not be subject to relegation.
The winner of each of the 8 conferences + wildcards would qualify for a playoff.
Unequal revenue sharing was mentioned as a possibility.

If the bowls were to go back to being invitationals, that would greatly favor the Huskers.

A&M just seems to fast for them.

Getting completely outclassed.

Starting to look like the Illinois game. Hot early. Cool off and cant get stops.
-
One team looks stronger and faster than the other.

Missed FTs down the stretch didn't help.
-
Agree. Illinois been shooting hot, but Huskers just as equally ice cold.

I can obviously understand the pull to UCLA being an alumnus (even though right now its not a quality job), but Minnesota? Good job, but not necessarily this late in the offseason. Would think it'd make more sense for him, as a hot commodity, to wait for a more traditional timeframe to start a head-coaching job. Can easily see him being a candidate for decent openings at end of next season.

If TO had won titles in 82, 83 or both, I think 95 is as long as he stays. Maybe leaves earlier if 1 or 2 earlier titles resulted in more between 83 and 94.
I always find the saga of Bo interesting. To me it always seemed like he was looking to better-deal Nebraska and that he always believed he was better coach than the W/L indicated. If he had won those last 2 Big12 titles I think he'd have jumped at the best offer from an SEC or southern-ACC program.

But he didn’t. So he fell short like everyone else. Not saying a lifetime contract but it buys him a long damn time. If he does something no one has been able to do in like 130 years of basketball why would we think we could find someone else better
My original response was to the hubris of "Keep the guy until he hangs it up" if we wins one tourney game.
I sure hope he does, but if the next few season after are similar to the seasons before this one, I won't support him staying until he decides to leave.

If we do he will have accomplished something never done in Husker Basketball History.
Thats understood. Makes me wonder where this program would be if Tim Miles' team had beaten Baylor in the tourney. Lifetime contract I guess.

^^^ No thanks. I'd like to see a fair level of sustained success first.

And how long is the contract extension. Keep the guy until he hangs it up.
If he wins one tourney game?

How does that work for UNO and UNK if UNL gets all the financial credit?

Alabama is still going to be good in the foreseeable future just due to the talent that they have on the roster. But if whoever goes 9-3 or 10-2 with 1st round playoff losses for 2 or 3 years he will be gone. And the further they get from Saban the harder it will be to recover.
Keep in mind here was Alabama in the 10 years before Saban
4-7
7-5
10-3
3-8
7-5
10-3
4-9
6-6
10-2
6-7
A total of 57-55
Demographic shifts over the past 20-30 years make it easier in the South to stay on top (or up there) when the brand is strong.
They could crash to that level, but would take Frost-like ineptitude to get there.
