  2. Did someone win "Last to Post Wins"?

  3. Can we possibly beat Iowa?

      Can we?  Yes, absolutely.

      Will we?  Ehhhhh.....

If only this were investing and past results didn’t guarantee future performance. The only metric in our favor is irrational hope.

  4. The Potential Future Nebraska Coach Bowl is on ESPN2 if anyone wants to watch. Baylor vs Iowa Sate.

I had the same thought! Winner gets first offer?

      It Depends.  Which future?

  5. Frost snatching defeat from the jaws of victory once again.

  6. Frost needs to go now. It isn't going to work next year. We got a 50% coupon on the buyout. Best use it.

I really doubt that 50% off coupon works without the extra year. Would be nice if it did but it won’t.

  7. Frost lost this game in regulation by fearing failing going for the win. What do you have to lose??!?!?!?

There is plenty of blame to go around. AM missing Volkolek twice when he was wide open on a deep route, Cerni punting the ball left when the call probably was punt right based on where the coverage went, O line putting us in the hole in the first half. The offense only scoring 20 points on over 400 yards of offense. But yes Frost went conservative there at the end

It sounds like a podcast. The soul is gone.

I was thinking the same after listening to it for about 30 minutes. Before it was at least somewhat informative even though most of their news for the day has already been out for 8 to 12 hours. Now with all the cast gone  and the new cohost talking about 65% of the time, I'm sure Greg Sharpe is questioning his role.

Yep. I had my doubts when they announced they were going to be shuffling the crew up but decided to give it a chance to see how it shook out.

Didn't take long. I hate it.

  9. At least we aren't throwing shoes.

  10. Refs took Nebraska out of the game. Huskers fought though.

  11. The more minutes that pass, I can see that this young team has the potential be very good.

I was going to post the same thing.  I see a TON of potential.  I wonder if we had played that first game if we maybe would have had a little better start.  (Will never know, but i will always think that way a bit)

Way more positives happened during this game than negatives.  For the first time in a long time, I'm feeling more optimistic about where this team is heading

We definitely have some things to work on(which we could have figured out last week, but got cancelled) and now SF can work on them.  We need to work on discipline as that is still an issue and ball control, another similar issues from years past, but the defense showed signs of greatness.  We already have half of our sacks from last year, though we are on the same track for turnovers from last year.  This is year one so I dont expect much, but i can't lie, I want more because SF is not Riley.

  12. Anyone know for the ESPN Bowl Pick Em, do you want the game you're most confident about at one point or 40 points? I thought the number was the ranking of your confidence but it says points as well.

    1. VectorVictor

      VectorVictor

      40. More points = more confidence

  13. Erstad needs to re-examine postseason prep, somethings wrong.

But they won the regular season outright! (Rolls eyes)

We're missing Will Bolt, and his replacements haven't been up to snuff.

  14. Even in the loss I think Nebraska is still a better team than Wisconsin, Huskers deserved to win that one.

I hate everyone in that crap state

  15. Mentally, I think a corner was turned today, "fumbling" twice at the goal line and having the mental toughness to forget it and move on.

  16. Oregon on ESPN3 for anyone wanting to scout.

i wonder if bronco has had enough time to teach the virginia players how to be good cheap shot artists?

I hadn't realized Bronco went to UVA. Heh. Surprised to see UVA pony up to buy him away.

  17. Wisconsin getting jobbed by the refs hard on that series.

It's a reoccurring factor for them. Poor guys.

  18. anyone know of a coach that had bad first season and went on to be successful?

    1. Dr. Strangelove

      Dr. Strangelove

It's very rare in the modern era. If it has happened, it's on a team that was loaded with top 10 talent. Nebraska is not at that level.

That may be worse than any of our losses this year. Lol. I hate Harbaugh.

  20. I feel Spurrier shouldn't be celebrated like he is, walk out on your players and staff midseason? Psh.

He resigned and said he is not done coaching. Does not sound like he had much say in the matter. Steve Spurrier meant Bobby Bowden.

That is the point...he feels he is HELPING the team by leaving now.

He's earned the grace to be able to do whatever the hell he wants, but this still isn't a bad move.

He can't handle sucking anymore, and he doesn't want to cause sucking to SC anymore. The earlier the better as far as coaching searches go.

  21. Bathurst 1000 about to start, if you enjoy racing, you may enjoy it.

  22. 2-4 for first time since 1959.

  23. Under Coach Osborne, Nebraska never lost more than three games in a season, ever. That's insane.

  24. 1959 was last time Nebraska was 2-3.
