  1. I like our chances then, if he is going to come in for a visit. Hopefully the weather is nice and he leaves very impressed and "N"
  2. Mitchell left for the pros a year or two early, did he not? I voted for him because he had crazy talent. Not much in the pros but did great while he was here.
  3. If the kid works hard in practice and has earned time on the field. Then by all means, let him on the field if he wants and is going to make the team better.
  4. I voted for Rozier, however my personal favorite was Calvin Jones.
  5. The thing that will stick with me forever about Turner, was after the MAC championship game, he was in tears over how his kids played. If that does show how much he cares for each and everyone of his players, then I don't know what will.
  6. Instead of Utah being number 1 for biggest disappointment, it should be the BCS. That is the biggest joke of it all.
  7. I voted for Frazier because he won (its what a quarterback is suppose to do) and he had pretty good stats and got robbed up a heisman.
  8. Its great to hear what he is like off the field. All we really get to see is a players stats and highlight video and maybe some test scores. It is great to have someone that is close to any of these kids say what a great person they are off the field. This is the exact person that I want representing the University of Nebraska.
  9. Sounds like a kid that would work pretty good on our defense. If he use to train with Suh, I could only image what he could do lined up next to him. I'm not the kind of guy to turn away a big, strong, fast, hardworking player maker that likes to play in the trenches.
  10. I would flat out ask Diaz if is comfortable of giving up a full season for the rest of this year. If he says yes and has a handle of Doc's scheme, then get him into the lineup as quick as possible. He can only help the team, and let the other players play more of their natural positions. It would not be fair to the other players if he was ready and they did not play him. These kids deserve a chance to win, and we should do everything in our power to acomplish that.
  11. I look for us to rely on the run in the early part of the season as we break in a new quarterback. I see a lot of pounding the rock with mostly play action passes mixed in. As the season progresses, and the quarterback develops and gains confidence, then we may see the offense change to a more balanced attack all around.
  12. I think we will see a lot more of a rotation with the front seven this upcoming year, because we actually have the depth to do it. Compton, Reed, Fischer, Whaley, Lawerence, and Dillard along with May, and Holt should all be good enough to see the field next year.
  13. I think it should help with all of those current commits being here as well as the noncommitted players. Those should defintely be talking about how sweet it would be to all come here together and start something really big.
  14. I would like to see a stat that shows how many passes go to certain areas. For example: to the left and under 15 yards, between the hashmarks under 15 yards, and so on and so forth. The attempts should be fairly even. If not, then we should work on evenly them out. I would also like to see us take more shots down field, however I do realize that our personal did not suggest that we do that very often last year as we didn't have great speed at the wideout or a cannon on the arm of Ganz.
  15. Just as long as he decides what is best for him and his family. Then i will be happy. I would hate for some Agent to get in Suh's head and feed him a bunch of B.S. just so the Agent can get some undeserved money IMO. I know that agents are not suppose to talk to anyone that has not declared for the NFL, but we would just be fooling ourselves if we said that it does not happen.
  16. Do we have any idea of what position he will play at Nebraska. It sounds like a great athlete, so I think he will flourish just about anywhere.
  17. Is this wingspan? If so that is one of the biggest that I have ever heard of. That is crazy.
  18. Is there any way to turn away Byrd or some of the other iffy qualifiers for guaranteed qualifiers and better players (according to rivals and scout). I know that that does not make Nebraska look very good to future recruits, but I don't think it is right to lose out on some very talented players waiting to hear if some of our current commits are going to qualify.
  19. I would like to think that Bo would not accept his commitment if their was no chance at him making the grades. Bo must be somewhat confident of Jason's ability to make grades to accept his commitment that fast and to recruit him as hard as he did over the past month.
  20. Is this Latravis(SP) Washington? How big is this kid getting. I thought he was a big safety/small linebacker when he got to campus. Is he really big enough to play D-line?
  21. I am excited about all the recruits that Nebraska has, however, what I find myself doing sometimes is watching the ones that narrowly got away when it was down to Nebraska and one or two other schools. I kind of like to see if we missed out on some of these recruits or not. The Skers commits that I was really excited about were: Marlon Lucky, cough Harrison Beck cough, Jonas Gray. Players I watch that got away: Freeman, Travis Lewis, and David Ross.
  22. People also need to remember that 10 to 15 years ago. These recruiting services were not as big and the resources were just not what they are today. Back then, a lot of the star rankings where from the camps that kids went to and off of a couple of videos. Now there are a lot more camps in the summer plus a lot more players are attending these camps as well. The amount of video and substance on these kids is so much greater now than what it was back then. Ratings are a crap shoot in general, but I would say that they were even harder to grade back then with less resources than they are now.
  23. Good to have you hear Rex. Him and Green are going to be an awesome duo in our future.
  24. It is all going to depend on how CG does in spring ball and fall ball. If he picks up the offense and outplays the other quarterbacks, then IMO, we should start him next year. However, if he comes in and doesn't pick up the offense as fast or as well as the other quarterbacks have picked it up, then he should redshirt. I do believe that there are players out there that can come in and pick up the offense as true freshman and make an impact to start for a D1 team at quarterback. Is CG one of those people, IDK. However, I am going to let him try first before I will say he will or will not be able to do it.
