Football is a competitve sport.  Should be able to get the best kids you can regardless of where they are born.  Sims to mssu should be interesting.  I would bet he increases the talent level pretty quickly with his connections.  They have a long ways to go to compete with ft hays and northwest mo of the conference.  

The old rule was absolutely racist. If you're good, you play. I don't care where you were born. 

Putting it back in place would be more of that participation trophy-esque crap that no one can stand. 

A lot of KS HS coaches were upset because they felt that it hurt the kids from the state of KS, the kind of kids that Bill Snyder used to build up K-State, and now those kids arent going to get a look because those JUCO's are going to quit recruiting the state. The coaches feel that the community colleges are there to help the kids and communities in KS first. Again you have to understand that these coaches are trying to look out for the best interest of the kids they coach, just like the JUCO's are looking out for themselves by eliminating the rule. 

I dont think the rule was set in place with the intent to be racist, but again to try to get KS kids more opportunities to better themselves as a student-athlete. But again thats just my opinion if you feel it is racist I can understand why you feel that way, again I just dont think the intent of the rule was to be racist. 

As far as Sims to MoSouthern I dont see him being too successful. There is almost zero interest in their football team by the Joplin community, and from what I've heard making the football team competitive isn't very high on the schools admins priority list

Geeze, I didn't mean to draw some grand sweeping "we're all doomed" conclusion about it. I just thought it was kind of a striking contrast. That's it.

I went from bi-fold to slim a few months ago. Tremendous overall improvement. I now keep less crap in there out of necessity, it doesn't leave wallet outlines in my jeans after repeated used, and I can keep it in a front pocket so I'm not sitting on it in the office.

Switched from a wallet to a money clip not that long ago. Picked up a stainless steel looking one held together by a thick rubber band that is supposed to prevent RFID scanning.

It's worked beautifully and I mostly really like it. I have lost the occasional few dollar bills, which kind of defeats its purpose I suppose, but overall it's been solid.

How is this any different than what Oregon wears? And, I thought they had all the “swaggiest” uniforms.

It may work for Oregon but not MSU.  Sea foam green yes for the Ducks but not for the Spartans.  These teams that try to copy never get it right.  They should have done some variation on the traditional uni's MSU wears.  As long as they were going this crazy with sea foam they should have done something with the helmet to tie it together.

The technical aspect of creating a forum would be fun.  Dealing with the creation's social aspect would not be fun.

@Toe - Putting it that way made me cringe.. (losing one's job is hard enough but even more so during this years pandemic) Still, maybe some of the overpaid athletes with their 100's of million $$ contracts can offer some assistance.

I think the Purdue kids started believing the press about themselves. There’s no reason this game should have gotten out of hand like it did unless they thought they didn’t need to prepare.

Things got pretty spicy between the teams but I think Auburn was bored and just picking a bit. I bet they wondering why they were there 

@NickHusker, basically. Purdue just couldn’t tackle anything in the first half...every play went to the house. Second half both teams had quit, Auburn pulled players quicker than an NFL Preaseason game.

I don’t think Auburn’s defense played any better than last year’s Peach Bowl, but they took away Moore. Whereas last year, when they shut down one thing Frost had another answer.

Makes a lot of sense.  Just don't let him call plays.

Yeah but don't forget, it's a real grind and gauntlet in the SEC. Every team is really really good and there are no breaks and you get beat up week in and week out and and and. Pay no attention that it was week 1.

@JJ Husker The only reason they played soft was that they weren't beat up enough. You should know for an SEC team to play well they need to be beaten down a bit. Also, lol at Finebaum saying that was the low point for Tennessee football because it was one game. 

Those must be some super tough G5 teams to have beaten teams from the lofty SEC.

lol, funny you ask that. i was banned way back during the Mike Anderson era for calling him out as an A-hole. I've since only read the board and not actually participated in conversations using my phone. Sometime in April I think is when I learned that this IP was cleared and though I've had access to post I've chosen to simply read. I've learned that my "Angry Old Man Syndrome" is real so its best I keep my opinions to myself. It is nice to know after 8 years of being blocked that I have access now.

I would seriously worry about anyone who would put those 3 together in a “to win” 3 game parley for $100. That’s not gambling, that’s lighting money on fire. Against the spread is another story but that only pays what, x1.6 to x1.8......or maybe that’s the teaser rate IDR.
