It's hilarious seeing all those coaches turn down the sCUm head coaching position. It would be great if they ended up with Bielema.

The Houston Astros' press conference was horrendous; basically a PR lesson in what not to do. The owner literally got caught lying. Watch the clip.

Does Martinez really give us a better chance of winning than playing McCaffrey?
-
If you're only going to see 1 movie this year, make sure it's The Irishman. I saw it on Tuesday; another Scorsese classic.
-
If that's the best we can expect from Martinez, we should use Vedral/McCaffrey moving forward.
-
I guess the problem is THAT is not the best we can expect from 2AM. We saw much better last season and we know his ceiling is much higher than he has exhibited this year. Not sure what the issues are but the staff needs to figure it out and stop the "stick with him" at all costs approach. That might go for some other coaches as well.

Does anyone understand why The Irishman isn't getting a wide release, but only relegated to small theaters?

There's a podcast on Fresh Air with the stepson of Chuckie O'Brien that's worth listening to. I had no idea the story or the relatives involved. https://www.npr.org/2019/10/01/766010613/in-hoffa-s-shadow-uncovers-an-author-s-family-ties-to-a-mafia-mystery
And I think because it was produced by Netflix there is a small theatre release now, then it goes live on streaming at the end of Nov.

At least we aren't Tennessee. That program is in an absolute freefall. I doubt Pruitt will be coaching much longer.

Another primetime blowout...what an absolute embarrassment...The gap in talent is so wide, it's laughable.

Has anyone tried Sling? Is it reliable? I need a way to get beIN Sports since Comcast dropped it and saw Sling offered it.

You won't be able to watch Big 10 games on FS1 with Sling. We had it last season and since Fox bought rights back from ESPN or something and that the fees need to be paid to Fox. But Sling already paid the fees to ESPN so they would blackout all Big 10 games on FS1 but we still could watch Big 12 and Pac 12 games. They also don't have BTN. We went to Hulu Live and now we have BTN for a similar but higher price to Sling.

Thank you for all the replies. @JJ Husker beIN Sports shows La Liga games (soccer). I figured most people here wouldn't know the channel; that's why I just asked about best streaming options for the least amount of money.

Scott Frost on Jim Rome this morning; another positive interview. Jim continuing to show us love.

Does anybody have a Wi-Fi Internet radio? I am looking to buy one to pick up stations outside of the Bay Area, but there are so many choices.

Oh, if that's the case and they make radios that can pick up digital streams data-free you could go that route.
Unless you're just needing this around the house. Then you could just disconnect your phone from data and stream via WiFi or pick them up on a computer instead. Either would be able to connect to a speaker.

When did it become acceptable to play rap music at bookstores? I was at Barnes and Noble Friday and, while trying to read a few sports magazines, couldn't help but notice Tupac playing overhead. Is this a recent development or have I just not been in a bookstore for that long?

Kirby Smart is going to have nightmares for weeks after Georgia choked that one away.
-
Agree. Georgia had the game. They couldn't get a few key stops and their offense went away from what was working. Saban was cooked so the conventional coach ditches his 25-2 QB for a true freshman and just puts the game on the kids shoulders and it works! 3rd and 7 scramble, 4th down TD, the turnover right after GA got the turnover...any one of those plays doesn't happen and GA wins. Then GA gets gifted by a missed Bama FG. GA kicker awesome long FG in OT and you now are going to win because you have the freshman QB on the ropes at 2nd and 26 in OT! And on 2nd and 26 you give up a 41 yard game ending TD...how does that happen? Feel awful for Georgia but they blew it...scared by Saban's shadow...Bama was done but you didn't know how to close the game. Credit Bama...never flinched when they should have multiple times.
