  1. I think the coaches showed us what they thought of Cody by continuing to play an injured Martinez.
  2. Maybe tonight I'll watch that 95 team. The 97 team was a joy to watch last night. Frost's no-look pitches are fun to watch.
  3. So I'm watching DONU V. Tennessee. This offense is weird looking. A lot of different sets, option, screen passes, play action passes, etc. Oh hey, Newcombe just caught an out pattern. Crazy I tell you. So now the real question. As angry as many of us are with the current offense, how doesn't Uncle Tom rip his own hair out watching it?
  4. lulz!! This made me chuckle!! But thanx for the warm welcome!! He meant it geographically.
  5. We're actually a little better than I expected coming into the year. I knew the defense would take a step back, and they did a little. The rushing defense wasn't as good because the D-line wasn't as good without Big Suh. That was expected. The pass defense was great, but we play a lot of pass defense (peso) and that's why it looked so good and also hurt the run D's stats. Still outstanding. The O, overall, is way better than I thought it would be because of Taylor's running. Especially early in the season. Remember, the O last year was horrible. Easily the worst O I have seen at UNL and I've been a fan since the early 80's. Sure there were some bad times, but there were some good times too and that didn't happen last year. Last year's O was just plain ol' inept. This year's O was better, but still has a long way to go before we can think about competing for a National Title. Somebody above said that Zac Lee wasn't a liability. Wow. Zac Lee was horrible, especially in UNL's losses. Not one TD in any of those losses if memory serves. As frustrated as I was in the O in this year's title game, it wasn't nearly as frustrating as last year's title game where UNL didn't even sniff the endzone. What really, really hurt the team this season were the fumbles. Even the ones we didn't lose hurt because they helped in stalling the O. A few dropped passes against Texas didn't help either, but the fumbles really, really hurt...along with some questionable playcalling. Next year is a little scary. I'm not worried about the schedule, but I'm worried about all the losses we'll see in the defensive secondary. I'm worried about the loss of our All World kicker. I'm worried about the O without Taylor. I don't believe the rumors, but if Taylor does leave then what? I don't think Cody Green is a D1 prospect let alone a four star QB. CG appears slow on his feet and inaccurate as a passer. And I think the coaches feel the same way or else Taylor would not have played in the games where it was obvious he wasn't 100%.
  6. You are angry about what is said on an internet message board, but you admit UNL fans who traveled to Seattle were great? One is reality. The other; not so much. Relax. BTW, Washington fans aren't traditionally known for being good fans. Arrogant and fair weather are the terms that best describe the fans of that university traditionally. If you want to see just how classy Washington athletics is, google what their AD said about the University of Oregon's athletic program earlier this year.
  7. I would trade 10,000 miles of "innovative" for one single indentity. Surely Bo knows we at some point simply have to do something well. Maybe variety would have been the word to use there. DONU currently runs 2 plays out of 3 different formations. I have more variety than that on my Nintendo with the old Techmo Superbowl game
  8. There are a lot of senior dominated teams in the Big 10 this year. That means a lot of rebuilding/reloading next year. I like our chances with a healthy, more seasoned, QB. Throw in a little more innovation on offense and I like our chances more.
  9. The kids worked hard for that divisional trophy. It should have been presented to them. There's no real excuse as to why it was not.
  10. Why are we so upset? They sent it 3 day select I think they also mailed the volleyball trophy.
  11. It's hard to feel confident in this offense. I read that in DONU's last 6 losses, they scored zero touchdowns TOTAL. That's an amazing stat.
  12. I recently read a story that had us going to the Insight Bowl if we lose to Colorado. There were obviously some scenarios in play like the Alamo never having had Oklahoma. Nobody wanting to pit us against Arizona again. The Stoops bros. not wanting to play each other. The most positive was that the Insight Bowl is run by the Fiesta Bowl folks and they love UNL fans in Phoenix. Of course none of it will matter is we beat Colorado and win the CCG.
  13. I never did. Unfortunately, my blind love for UNL hasn't been the same since Solich was fired.
  14. Go to , it gives you a different angle and better picture quality. The play is at 1:21 into the video. Like you said, Wiggins was hit right? Well in the video it shows him falling over after the hit. It cant be a kick if Wiggins was hit and as you should see, after his body hits the ground is when he hits the football, and hes not even looking at the football. His legs bounce of the ground (which im sure yours would do in that situation) and hit the ball. Hows the first way you get up after you get hit over in pads? Well if you want toget straight up you lift your legs in some way Im sure. Bottom line, it wasnt an illegal kick. Wiggins admitted in an interview afterwards that he did indeed intend to keep the ball alive by kicking it, but like previous posts, refs can't read minds and unless it was a clear penalty, let the players determine the outcome of the game. Worst call - K-State "doesn't the face-mask come out of the back of the helmet?" call. Kind of obvious. Wiggins did, indeed, admit to kicking the ball intentionally.
