Our strength, offense. is every bit as able to put up 30+ points on that D as Lsu last season. I'll take our "inexperienced" D over their injury riddled offense anyday.

The ONLY chance would be to change conference by-laws. And even Dr. Tom has said the powers that be at the forming of the Big 12 wanted a Texas OU rivalry. The conference won't bend to Nebraska easily. That being said, I'm all for it. I think the Univ. status is large enough (and the profits to be had large enough) to at least be considered. Espescialy with the trend towards neutral site games. Wheres our piece of that pie?

I agree Hunter...................whether we want to admit it or not Husker fans needed to be brought back down to earth a little bit to help with our unrealistic expectations. While it has been a painful road it has also made us more thankful for the teams from the past and made us realize that we need to be a little more realistic in the future. I disagree; extremely high expectations can only be a good thing after your worst season in 50 yrs! I don't belive the cupboards are bare on defense. A new attitude and scheme can swing a few more wins. And a win over VT could give us 8 or dare I say.......9 wins!

I personally love to HATE ohio state , but they should be higher. Mich has more NCs but otherwise have been owned by OSU. FSU had their run in the 90's; if that's all it takes where is BYU or Houston! Texas should be on given their performance in the Big 12 and the SWC. No argument about #1 though!

I would say they are overly optimistic about Pitt making the NC game. No way with Stache running the team do they get to the NC game. I will eat crow if they even end up in the top 25. National press been hyping Wannie and his terrific recruiting classes; since he started at Pitt. EA is just following suit!
