What recruiting class? Hell he is using the same mantra that Frank used to put this program in the shitter in the first place and that is not actively recruiting during the season. It seems as if Bo is a genius, don't recruit well enough to have depth, so when the injury bug hits as it does every team, you have a built in excuse for losing another 4 and possibly 5 games a year. You wonder why we had to play RKIII? Well we turned Jamal Turner into a WR so TMart could still "grow" into one day maybe being a servicalbe QB, and then we put all of our eggs into the Bubba Starling basket knowing full well that he was going to play professional baseball. That isn't bad luck, that is bad recruting/coaching. Good point. I completely forgot about this. He could have been a great option QB if given the chance. But we'll never know. Then what about our WR depth? Or the fact that TA was clearly a better option at QB than Turner when they both arrived in the same class?

Hey Huskerboard, needing a little advice and/or info. It looks like after more than a decade Huzkerbob will be moving back to the good life! I am about 90% sure that a big job offer is coming my way in Lincoln. Good news, but my initial search for rent housing hasn't come back with a ton of good options. There are a lot of houses for sale, but that means I have to make a more informed decision about what areas would be a good fit for me and my growing family. Problem is I haven't been to Lincoln for anything but football games in years, so I don't really know where to look for housing or what neighborhoods to avoid. My job will be near the airport on the west side of town so thats something to consider. It would be a tremendous help to us if any Linconites could share some info. More specifically, what are some of the best schools in the area? Affordable housing for a large family? *What are some areas to avoid? Opinions, advice, personal antidotes? Heck, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't remember the last week Mack Brown had 4 articles written about him being in the hotseat flash across the front page of NCAAF at ESPN. That's what happened this week for Bo. Like I said, not even close. Did you just not check the internet these past few months? One of the main headlines for awhile was about how Nick Saban may take over as the head coach of Texas....this was even after Texas beat Oklahoma and had a nice little winning streak going. Give me a break, Mack Brown has way more attention on him than Bo. Devnet is actually right on this one. I live in TX and I can tell you the only places I read about Mack being gone are the (always reliable) internet and the bastions of great journalism on ESPN discussing it earlier in the year. Pelini on the other hand has an entire fanbase cannibalizing each other as well as every sports news station in the country trotting out their "Bo has one foot in the grave" narrative whenever possible. That includes the local sports pages here in DFW. Size of the media market means very little in this case, it's more about the fanbase's fervor for all things Husker. That's great when our team is up, but my god does it get ugly when things don't go NU's way! Fans of teams like UT and USC don't take things to this level because a majority of their fans could give a sh!t about the team if they aren't in the Natty hunt. That is not the case for Nebraska fans. Unfortunately for us the sharks in the media know this and love to chum the waters and watch the feeding frenzy.

Let's not forget that was a FCS defense. That said, it was nice to see a ball thrown with good form instead of shot putted. Huh? I was impressed with both back ups as well, but you obviously didn't see the same passes I did. RKIII was tossing up some serious archers. For the most part they went where they needed to go, but idk about "good form". O well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

How about VV, mainly on the hope that someone on the interior of the D line can make an impact. On offense we should be ringing the Bell early and often as NU tests USM young secondary down field.
