  1. Really? Nothing to see here? I wish I could get on board with the people who are saying this now, but I just don't see it. This whole mess still stinks and Idk how anything that has come out the past few days would lead people to believe he was just a victim who overplayed his sympathy card... I just don't buy it and can't for the life of me see how anyone else would feel these "explanations" are even believable, let a lone prove some kind of reasonable deniability. Not sure if this is just CFB fans who have trouble believing the flaws of their straw dogs or a serious case of mass gullibility. Either way his PR team is definitely earning their paychecks this week!
  2. Corner? I highly doubt that. His listed 40 time seems inflated when you watch his tape. He's no doubt an athletic guy, but there is no way he has the agility to play bump and run in Bo's system. As a weak side safety or nickle is where I think he has most potential. Another Lavonte David would be nice, but that type of undersized ball hawking LB doesn't come around every year. I'm not sure I see that in Drake... BWTHDIK

  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93w0xzOVVv8 Already posted I see, but still pretty damn cool. This is live on SNL
  5. He has informed Penn St that he is staying this is good. Good for Bill O'brian. Though if he pulls off another 8-9 win season, there's nothing to say he wont dart next year when another opportunity comes, but to stay for another year in light of what he's up against even with offers from the NFL shows a lot about the man's integrity. He's impressing me more and more with each move. Good for Bill O'Brian. Good for Penn St. He said he's "not a one-and-done guy" or not a "one-pump-chump" or something lol Righhhht. Thats why he interviewed. Because he is loyal to PSU. He just realized the Browns were not the right fit for him. By right fit I assume you mean he knows the Browns are an organization in terrible shape right now. Worse than Penn St fb apparently.
  6. So it's more of a, "Welcome to our party but the keg is off limits" kinda situation. Yeah that's pretty lame...
  7. Another reason I think the Rose Bowl will eschew Oregon State for Oklahoma (provided Oregon wins out). No way the Rose Bowl wants to be shown up by the Cotton...and to hear some of the die-hard B1G/Pac-12 fans talk about it, the Rose Bowl tradition is already in the toilet if Nebraska makes it there. And let's be honest, no one wants to see an Oregon State/Nebraska matchup, assuming Oregon State is still available. Oklahoma/Nebraska would get everyone's attention, and certainly just as much, if not more, eyeballs and butts in front of TVs than a Texass/aTm grudge match. Agreed. And more importantly, more of America likely would as well. Umm, who exactly are these folks and where do they get off? If NU wins the conference they they obviously deserve the spot. If other teams fans can't accept that then I'm sure the U of Chicago is available to rejoin the league. Maybe then a "real" B1G team would have a shot at playing for the Roses.
  8. A BCS bowl vs. Oregon St? This game should have been played 12 years ago.... Thanks a lot Notre Lame! Oregon State 41, Notre Dame 9 Nebraska 66, Northwestern 17
  9. Firefly was the TV show, Serenity was the full length film based on the show.
  10. That's a tough one for sure. I would have to go with Petty though, If only for his longevity and a respectable length of sustained relevance.
  11. This is one of the reasons I'm not going to start packing my bags for Indy just yet. It seems that after a big win, we come out flat or trip on our newly-inflated ego as a team. But, as stated, this is the first time where Bo made a stated, public goal. Perhaps Bo is using the public to hold his team accountable (to a small degree)? I think maybe he just got caught up in the moment when he said it, but it does put his team in a position where they have to cash the check his mouth wrote. Whether it was intentional or not, I'm not sure. Caught up in the moment or just telling the truth? Because they did and still do need to win out to win the conference. So why would that cause a stir in the team? I'm sure these players already deal with plenty of outside pressure just being a D1 football at a school like NU, so I doubt a little truth from Bo to the media will faze them.
  12. Really good stuff being played in here the last few days. But really Redwine, Hush Hush? We all know Straight Up is the only way to go!
  13. I can see them moving Colter back to the primary QB just for this game. We will need to completely revamp what we have done so far this season on D. Burn redshirts, get Rose, Santos and Alfalva on the field. Use SJB in the Super D role in 2003 as an OLB to rush and disrupt every play. Maybe even move Stafford up in that role. Get Valentine, Curry and Peat (if in game shape) on the line. Make E Martin an every play DE. Announce Captains for the remainder of the year. Practice full pads, 1's vs 1's until KO. Blitz every down. Even on 2nd and 1. Who cares. Run. Have AA take a knee if the ball goes into the end zone. I have no idea WTH happened to our special teams. Punt out of bounds. Run, run, run. Do not put Martinez in a position that requires his arm to get us out of trouble. If we do throw, do it on first down. I am also sure that they have salivated over the ease of jumping our out routes. How about something as simple as a little out and up route. They will bite and we get 6. It ill also stop them from jumping the route again. Bring back the RB screen Cally and Lucky were masters of this. Use the bubble screen. We get killed by everyone else using it. We need to start. Do what ever it takes, screens, throw back pass, end around, reverses etc to get the ball in the hands of JT and KB in space. I would love to see Enunwa on an end around with the ball and a head full of steam. The collisions would be epic. Give the ball to Cross in meaningful time. Not just the last friggin play of the game. The dude is huge. He is a freight train. Have him, AA and Janovich back there (assuming Rex is still out). Beat them into submission. Power football with play action passes. Run, Run, Run. Put Paps in the box with Joseph. Let him see the whole field. No reason to stand right next to Bo. Someone else can send in plays. One of the beat writers also wrote, make one mistake, sit a play, 2 sit the series etc.... make guys realize you screw up, you sit. Go back to the mantra of the SEALs that I continue to hear so much about from working out with our guys. Dig deep, don't quit on yourself or on your team. Play with passion and fire. Play angry. Play mad. get some. Play a complete four quarters. If they can't stop it, don't. Then we can start a new religion, buy ten Ferraris, have a poly-amorous marriage with Jessica Beal and Kate Upton, become a world famous rock/movie star, solve the global gas crisis, all before winning the Nobel Prize in the category of Awesome. Yep, sounds plausible!
