  1. Kind of like every year but last for KU, huh?
  2. I hope you're kidding. That lady can kiss my a$$. Somebody stood up at a game, what an atrocity. Maybe her stupid a$$ should stay home and watch it on TV. I'm glad he cussed her out, I wish he would have put a little baby powder on his pimp hand and......... well, you get the idea.
  3. watson can't suit up in this game. but maybe he'll call some run plays. hahahaha Don't think I want him too!!!
  4. I agree. I think if we spy Daniels and try to hit him EVERY play, we may get into his head. Thought about this early in the week. You think they are devising something with Asante or Glenn for this role? Somebody with size on Daniel and speed? It could work. I mean think about it. The spread is about getting people the ball in space. If you spy Daniel on every play, not break coverage and just send one guy on him all night, this very well could work. I don't know, it has its problems as well. I hope we see the genious that Pelini has been in the past. Don't listen to all the idiots, there is talent here. We are still Nebraska, we still have talent on the first string. If you don't believe me, ask Frank Beamer. He said we do.
  5. I don't care, and I don't play the this score vs. that score charade. Every game is different, based on turnovers and penalties and different "lucky bounces." This game is all I care about. Go Huskers! Beat Mizzou!!
  6. Without question, no holds barred, Husker fanatic I am N
  7. No because he was such a hot coach and we had to snag him up before any other big time programs did. I would have to say Pelini brought him back because of the whole 03 thing. They probably had an agreement kind of like Bo and Ron Brown. Disclaimer: Although Barney is a better OL coach then I am he wouldn't have this job if he didn't play at NU. Point blank end of story. I must say, this is getting quite old very quickly. How can you blame this running game on the OL? If you only call 15 f*cking handoffs to the IB all game, you can't expect to get the OL on a roll. Running games traditionally take hold when the DL is tired. If they aren't being run against, they aren't tired. Seriously, this is about playcalling. I hope it improves tonight, because I can't believe that Nick Saban wanted this kind of one sided play calling in the SEC. RUN THE DAMN BALL WATSON
  8. The best country concert you can attend. Drinking and partying and good music. Man I love his shows.
  9. http://www.huskerboard.com/mods/audio/tunnel_walk_chant.wav LOVE IT, BABY!!!
  10. AMEN! Win a conference title before you make a "this is NU's nat. title game" comment. Give me a break!!! hell if anything the game in norman would be our national championship(not that it is, it just would have more meaning) Abso-freakin'-lutely, OU v NU again this year. That is a rivalry I remember.
  11. In 2004, Adam Ickes returned one of two botched Missouri punts for a second-quarter touchdown to give NU the lead for good. DeJuan Groce’s 89-yard punt return sparked Nebraska to victory in 2002. And in 2000, Bobby Newcombe returned a punt 94 yards for a score. ------A botched punt is a bad snap or fumbled snap. That doesn't count as a return.
  12. Sounds like they would be good golfers. "Golf is a game for guys in funny pants with huge asses. You should talk to my neighbor the accountant. Huge ass, probably a great golfer." Billy Madison
  13. .....ridiculous post. Can't believe you compare Pelini to Callahan after 4 games.
  14. AMEN! Win a conference title before you make a "this is NU's nat. title game" comment. Give me a break!!! I know, it is like they forgot that 7 seasons ago we were in a game that they have never been in---A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! They forget that we have 43 conference championships and they have 15. None of those 15, by the way, have come since 1969. Sure seems like another team has dominated since then. They haven't even won a game in Lincoln in 30 years. I'm only f'ing 26 years old. I didn't even know they had a friggin Missouri/Nebraska bell until I saw it on Playstation when I was 16. I want to beat them so bad, I hope the players feel the same way about it. I hope that all this missed execution stuff and blown assignments come together this week and it is a perfect storm that hits Missouri square in the face.
  15. no. ok, I admit this is funny. First does anyone know the Maneater is the student newspaper? Second, he picked Mizzou to win by 7 points. You're giving him a hard time for that when many of your own fans here have predicted worse? Btw, what did he say that is goofier than Pelini saying the goal is to shutout Mizzou? Now that IS funny. We might lose but I'd bet my mortgage it won't be close to a shutout. If you beat us I'll be here to congratulate you tomorrow night. On the other hand if you don't I'll be here too to see how the gagging on all that Kool-Aid is going! Third, this is a HUSKER site, so if we don't like it we don't have to. Fourth, we find it funny that they think this game is our National Championship. Our National Championships sit in the Trophy Cases at Memorial Stadium. We know what it is like to win big games, conference champioships, and National Championships. For the last time, WE DON'T NEED YOU TO TELL US ABOUT IT! It is fine to be proud of your team, you should be. They have finally started to climb that hump. It is one of the most incredible offenses I have ever seen. I enjoy watching Missouri, but the fans are starting to act like they are elite. Elite seasons do not make elite programs. I don't care what the paper is from, if you make a comment like "this is their National Championship" you are going to piss off Husker fans. That is why we are b*tching about this article. It is completely untrue, and if you ask anyone of those players, they will tell you that.
  16. Or for the Huskers to drop 6-7 Yes, the Huskers could very well drop 6 or 7 this year and we wouldn't be the least bit surprised. You, however, seem to have this elitist attitude that your team was ordained by God himself, so when you lose one or two, it'll be that much more sweet. So please, keep up with your "We're waay better than you, always have always will attitude", it's kind of nice. Guys, I hate to be that guy but, this is exactly what everyone else hated about us when we were good. If we have a right to say we will be back because of our history (which I wholeheartedly agree, we have too much money in the program not to recover) they have the right to say they are the new Nebraska. Until we prove otherwise, or unless you can stop yourself from making the same type of comments when we are back, we have to let it go. On the other hand, it is funny (not pointing at any one on this board) that KU and MU fans are suddenly feeling sorry for NU and telling us they think we are almost there. They don't even know what there is for Nebraska. We are almost to what MU and KU have been, not to where they are now, and even farther from what we consider acceptable. Sorry to be harsh, but we won't accept it until we win a conference title again, something neither of them has ever done.
  17. What is this based on? How many passes has Chris Brooks caught in his career? (1?...) Holy Sh*t!!! meant Niles Paul. Can't believe I typed that!
  18. I love stuff like this. I'd be amazed if they could get withing 50 of the chiefs. thats nothing against MU.... its just you cant compare NFL teams to college teams. the 95 team would get killed by this years Chiefs Absolutely right. I hate this stupid argument. There is no way any college team ever could beat the worst pro team of that same year. They would be carting Tigers off the field after every play.
  19. Helu is not a great player yet, but he has the upside to be one. 1. Our secondary is one of the worst in america, recievers were wide open all night. --several missed assignments in the zone scheme, especially by the safeties. Our guys bite really bad on play action and shifting pockets. Hard to play solid at CB if you can't rely on the safeties for help. 2. What is wrong with larry asante? Physically, he looks like one of the most gifted safteys in the counrty. But he hasnt a clue how to play in pass coverage. --he has a long way to go. I believe he is only a Jr. with a year of JUCO, a year of moron Coz, and 4 games under Pelini/Sanders. Let's see how he is at the end of the year. But yes, he looks terrible right now. 3. I LOVE BO PELINI. And as much as i hate the penalty, he committed...He will have us back next year. --I agree here. I don't know about next year yet, but I see steady improvement in the DL and LB. 4. Mike Mcneill is the best tight end to come to nebraska is 20 years. --if he improves as quickly as he has been coming along in his blocking, he can be. Don't underestimate the impact Ron Brown has on him. That man can flat out coach football. Wasn't Johhny Mitchell within the last 20 years? 5. There are no difference makers at wide reciever. Good possesion recievers but no burners/purifys --Not that the staff has any confidence in. I think Gilleyan could be the burner, and Chris Brooks seems to be a game changer when I've seen him be involved in the gameplan. 6. We are going to go 7-5. I think we could beat missouri, if the offense gets some consistancy. ---I think Mizzou is going to be a very difficult challenge. I hope we make a game of it, because another blowout like last year could send us into another tailspin. Traveling to Lubbock is a hornet's nest with our suspect safety play.
