Locker went from frontrunner to sad story with only one bad showing. Taylor is hot right now but he'll have to eventually face a defense that will stop him. Thankfully, he has a supporting cast which is quite capable which bodes well for the team but Taylor is still an unknown factor against good competition.

Tough game for you guys. Good luck in the Pac 10. Please understand that this was a "Restore the Order" party for the Husker faithful after an embarassing era under Callasshan. We respect your effort and wish you well.

I haven't seen anything that scares me about this team. Very weak except for 1 drive and that seems to have been fixed by the defense. What the hell is there to be scared of? If they open up Locker, which I expect them to do, they're playing directly into the strength of our defense. Keep the 14+ point gap and develop some depth.

If we're forced to go to Lee, the entire offense must change. Lee cannot run effectively. That is why it's important to have some game experience for Green. Green and Martinez can run the same offense style.

Green just tried a bit too hard and opened himself up to a rather important mistake. It shouldn't end his playing time. We're only one tackle from having him lead this team. He needs to be developed. We shoved it straight down UW's throat on the last drive so I'm not very worried about the W at this point, but we need to have experienced depth for non Pac-10 opponents who may decide to play some real football.

This my first look at Martinez. It would be an understatement to say that I'm impressed. The only bad thing is that our QB recruiting may take a hit as the guys coming in are going to see this and then find somewhere where they'll get to play...

I disagree. We must easily roll over the Huskies in order to prove ourselves. The Pac-10 is weak and if we are what we think we are, they should offer little resistance. We'll see...
