  1. Miller, an outside linebacker recorded a whopping 59 tackles and 9.5 sacks (sack total is impressive). Lavonte David, also a linebacker, recorded 145 tackles, 6 sacks and was second on the team with 10 pass break ups. One last time, it sounds like to me Nebraska was jobbed again by ATM. David wasn't even in the running for the award while the numbers he threw up absolutely destroyed Millers.
  2. For some reason, don't know why, I always saw ISU more of NU's little brother then Iowas. Probably being in the same conference all these years. Most Husker fans will admit it will be weird next year not playing the north schools.
  3. That ****-sucker was explicitly trying to hurt Burkhead. Rex had a pile of lineman on top of him and he grabs ahold of his facemask and helmet pulling it in the entire opposite direction that your head is supposed to move. Wish Ricky Henry woulda knocked him the f out.
  4. That one did it's damage........guarantee it ripped the hearts outta many a clone. ISU played their hearts out, this one will sting for awhile. As bad as Colorado is currently at this present time look for them to pull out a W versus ISU next week. Online posters have no idea how hard it is to get up from an NFL style playoff/make or break game like NU had vs. Mizzou the previous week to not have an emotional drain/let down game the next week. To cap that off playing a team that sees you as their super bowl. Fighting the terribly one sided officiating, using the 3rd string QB who hasn't played all year, playing in the ultimate wind tunnel known as that stadium, that was a good one for the skers. Good game clones.
  5. I'm here in Denver and was just trying to get a feel for what will be on the tube next year when we move to the Big 10 and CU moves to the Pac 10. I get the Big 10 network so I'm set regardless. I take it FSN Rockey Mountain (I think it's the same in Nebraska) will now get all the PAC 12 games and no more Big 12 ones while Versus will only show MWC games. Probably the only time a Big 12 game will be on the tube in this region is when it's a national one on ABC like OU/TX??? Here's what a typical CFB Saturday schedule looks like here in Denver (Again I think it's currently the same in Nebraska): 10:00-- ESPN/2: dominated Big 10 Match ups with the occasional ACC one. There could also be an occasional Big Least game, don't watch those however to verify. Big 10 Network game. ABC: National or regional game sometimes?? CBS: SEC game sometimes. FSN: Big 12 game sometimes. Versus: Mountain West/Big 12 game sometime. 1:30-- ESPN/2: More Big 10 games. SEC games. Some ACC. NBC: ND game. ABC: Big 12 game. CBS: SEC game. FSN: Big 12 game sometimes. 5:30/6:00 pm-- ESPN/2: SEC game. ACC game sometimes. Big 10 game??? ABC: National or regional game FSN: Big 12 or Pac 10 game. Usually Pac 10 game.
  6. A lot of screaming about him out here. It seems most want him gone. On another front, Lane is not doing so hot on recruiting, NR and 3 stars are what they are pulling in, two soft commits of 4 and 5 star kids. Could be a long problem for them. I'm amazed they have commits at all at this point. Tell me what kind of THINKING parent would send their kid there no matter the NFL/USC spin Kiffin can sell them. I understand that some kids don't care about bowl games but there is that other issue of having another 10 players on the field with you. By the time you're a redshirt sophomore you'll be on a team with almost half a scholarship roster.
  7. That's ok, this hottie below is learning the facebook/twitter deal and just about has it right
  8. Well this surely ain't gonna happen in the Pac 12 as the commissioner already came out and said that was the deal breaker, no longhorn network. Also with the PAC 12 soon to come out with their own network you can forget about them letting Texas have their own in the future.........Texas next option would be to join the SEC with ATM. This is just talk anyways as Texas will never join another conference if the Big 12-2 has a bcs bid. Whether that bee without Mizzou, Kansas, or ATM, if there's still a BCS bid, Texas stays. It may come down to the Big 12-2 vs. the ACC for that last final super conference.
  9. After the dust settled you have Okie Lite and T. Bonnes talking game, Taco tech talking game, OU coming out trying to save face that they possibly rec'd an offer from the SEC because now everyone knows they truly are Texas' bitch, and finally you have Texas and ATM not saying a damn thing. The funniest thing from the past week or so was when OSU and TT had pseudo press conferences to say they're staying in conference.
  10. I'll defend the Jayhawk and Cy here.......when everything shook out in the weekend after NU's announcement those schools were literally backed into never, never land by Texas and her posse. They had absolutely ZERO choice in the matter as Texas played it's final hand to a tee. Little did the other schools know that Texas has ZERO aspirations of moving from a conference they run, why would they???? I believe Texas accomplished EXACTLY what they wanted, forced NU out and CU could get out unlike anybody else. This is THEIR IDEAL LEAGUE. I thought it would take NU, CU and MU to fold this conference, not anymore. Texas and her cronies will stay in this conference as long as there is a BCS bid attached, just like ND. Hell the big least has 8 teams and they have a BCS bid (The Big 8 should've rode it out awhile longer). People will bring up money for UT wanting to leave in a weaker TV conference, they won't lose, only the remaining heard will lose on the $$$ issues while Texas will supplement this with it's own network. See how this works. All the benefits of being independent while being associated in a BCS conference that you run......."the best of both worlds" Hell looking at it that way, if NU was on the other side they'd be the bully.......it's definitely the best set up for any school in Division 1A now that I think about it. The issue that have many Husker fans mad is the raising cane/traitors comments that are abound by KU, KSU, ISU, MU. When Texas ostracized the forgotten five where was that anger placed?? Why didn't Texas look out for a KU, KSU, ISU, MU??? What happened, you all voted for everything BUT the hoops tourney to be in Dallas, maybe now you'll be happy now when it's permanently in Dallas. You wanna talk about turn coats, look back to 1994, you'll find your turncoats. The only team I feel sorry for is Mizzou. They truly were played and deserve to be in the Big 10 w/ us. That or in the SEC. Anywhere but the Big 12. However in 5 years I see them with us in the Big 10. The last Big 12 school. They have solid academics and athletics, never have scandals, never cheat like KU and OU and quite frankly deserve better.
  11. I'd agree somewhat however the OU, CU and to a degree MU rivalry were very real. Lots of bad blood between NU and CU/MU. A lot of Husker fans are really going to miss playing them like OU. I know I will. The rest, I don't think so. Actually I'll miss playing Texas way more then OU and I'm sure that's true for a ton of Husker fans. Would love to keep Texas on the schedule.
  12. Good for Utah With Byu getting left out that is one game that I will not miss......a whole other meaning to the holy war. Must be nuts in Salt Lake City right now, feel bad for the more deserving Mormons. There goes someone's seat at the table within 5 years.
  13. That guy can talk all the sh!t he wants as Mizzou is the next power player against Texas. They can't kick Mizzou out (which was a horrible pot shot) because they have fine athletics and they have 6 mil people. Imagine the TV contract with KS, OK and TX without Mizzou. My prediction in the next 5 years Mizzou will be the ones to break up this conference bolting to either the Big 10 with us or to the SEC. Their governor probably shouldn't be burning bridges though.
  14. This is true for Texas, ATM and OU......at $20M a piece guaranteed however not so much for the rest. At the projected rate of $135M tops annually for the 10 schools, that leaves around $70-75M for the other 7. So straight line that leaves the rest with $10M-10.7 each. Adding into the variability is their tier system with TT an OSU following possibly second, while the rest are in the 3rd tier.
