  1. Not sure if I'll be in the minority or majority here, but honestly I envy Ron Brown's conviction. Someone who stands true to who they are even in the face of all this backlash is an impressive person and a role model in my eyes. Having said that I think maybe he could've done a bit better in getting his message out there so there wouldn't have been all the media attention, but I would be greatly disappointed if he didn't coach here until he retired. From all the people I've talked to on the team they absolutely love him.
  2. Take it for what its worth but my understanding from what I've seen across several boards is that he isn't a scholarship player, sounds more like a walk on from what I can gather.
  3. Yeah that's true he has been pretty reliable this year. I suppose when I think of him I think of his huge blocks more than his actual ball catching skills
  4. Well if Westerkamp can catch the ball on a consistent basis then chances are he'll see the field next year because behind Bell our WRs have lots of potential if they could just catch the football more times than not.
  5. Whatever he ends up rated I sure want this guy. For as much as everyone talked up Edwards and talked about how Peat had a poor week of practice you sure couldn't tell from the game. Peat looked great all night especially in pass protection and I think he would have a legit chance at starting from day 1. He is just that talented and physically gifted IMO.
  6. I went to Lincoln Southwest and have heard several times that if the Huskers offer then hes a Husker. Hopefully they do as I've heard he's not only a great football player, but also a great kid. My only concern is that we've already offered and seem to have high interest from several other LB prospects namely Cox from Arizona and Ramirez (spelling) from Missouri. Hopefully Banderas and Minter both get offers soon so we can kick off our 2013 class!
  7. I thought somewhere along the line in this thread it was said that he was a pitcher currently, but he was being projected as an outfielder at the next level. Did that change or am I misremembering?
  8. Pretty sure it was against Texas Tech don't remember the specific year though
  9. I have a friend whose mom works at UNL and shes a freshman this year and i know that she gets half tuition paid every year, I don't know if the situation is the same for coaching personal or not...
  10. Yeah not to mention that we did better with penalties and hey the sellout streak is still alive!
  11. Can i pick all of the above and add that we can't seem to find any spark on offense... even though we've obviously tried absolutely everything... well except for trying that mobile backup quarterback... what was his name again?
  12. Are any of these kids actually D-1 recruits or are you just assuming these kids are winning in high school so heck why not try them out for Nebraska?
  13. On a bright note i know we'd all love the best possible results going foward for this year but at least we can know that so many of these guys will be back next year with experience under their belts so hopefully we can really have that breakout year next year to hold onto the recruits that we already have for next year...
  14. I think what i would hope we'd see differently is some of those QB draw plays that we ran today would actually go for more than 2 yards... supposedly lee and green have the same speed but i think from what i've seen at least green appears to be a better athlete and hopefully he could make more big plays for us than lee
