@NUance I had a similar thought the other day. It's crazy how the basketball committee values SOS and football just doesn't care.

The UNL staff who schedules our games needs to figure these things out.  

I heard he was hanging out with the bball team and it seemed like just the oddest fit.

I'm sure the committee will take into account that they beat us last season...

I sort of like CBS announcers.  I do think SEC when I hear them but they do a pretty good job IMO.  Definitely better than some of the second rate ABC/ESPN announcers.

I love Maddon but I think it’s time for a new manager. Cubs were at the bottom in base running blunders and errors. Hopefully a different approach can solve some of these. 
 

The fact that they were as competitive as they were and their run differential being what it was makes me think they’re not that far off from putting a team out there that can make another deep October run.

@Comfortably Numb Good point. It's one of those sports that makes me get all philosophical about life.

I mean... is there something out there in the world that I'm AMAZING at, and I just haven't found it? Then I think of all the people who never find that thing. And how the hell did these people just randomly decide "I want to do curling!" and then it turns out they're great at it. Obviously they worked hard to get good, too. But when you win a gold medal it means probably you're naturally gifted at... curling.

Then there are those jerks like Bo Jackson that are good at everything so it doesn't even matter what they decided to do.
