    I just tried filing my car up with gas. The pump wouldn’t keep running without me holding it. I couldn’t do it. I would have had frost bite before it was full. This cold sucks.

    BIG win for Nebraska! Not only does it eliminate Iowa from being the West champs and going to the CCG, but it ends our losing streak of 7 years to them! And to do it in a year where our coach is fired after only 3 games!

    Brisket smoking advice?

     

    I’ve only smoked a couple briskets before. They turned pretty good but, after watching some YouTube vids, thinking about doing a couple things different. 1- I’ve always done them fat cap up but going to do this one fat side down. 2- I’ve wrapped in foil but this time going to use pink butcher paper and pour some smoked wagyu beef tallow on the meat side as I wrap it.  Any comments? @BigRedBuster?

      If it's a cheap brisket that won't bend in half when raw I'll add a little powdered meat tenderizer to the injection broth. Definitely helps.

      Took 2 out of my garage yesterday, our cat left us 3 partially eaten ones on the patio, seeing them flying everywhere at dusk, a coworker brought in a pest removal guy and was told he has a colony. A f#&%in colony of around 500 plus in his attic and that dude told him he's seen several in that town in the last month. You would think with a dry year there would be less bugs and less bats.  So yes I guess they are here.

      WHO DEY!!! keep that Nebraska/Cincinnati connection going!!  I think Cam can be a pretty good DB in a few years with the right coaching. Physically he's got the tools just lacks some mental stuff imo.  Coach Taylor is doing an incredible job this off season so far

      Damn JJ that would have sucked!   It definitely makes you wanna quit or do a major upgrade.  We got a new walleye rig last year. Deep sides were a must for the south dakota reservoirs we fish. And full windshield and Bimini top. It's nice but ain't nothing like the Warriors and Rangers that are all over up there but I wasn't spending 100k on a boat.
