Damn…my lawn looks nice after I mowed it.

Spent a good chunk of time working on ours after getting back from a trip today and yeah, it does. There's a special satisfaction from busting your hump to get everything trimmed up.
Ours grows too darn fast and it's a constant game trying to keep up with our little push. It does a great job but I'm biding my time until we can get a rider.
I celebrated by heading over to the pool to spend about an hour or so cleaning that up and cooling off

What is a crockpot or air fryer recipe that you like?

RIP Taylor Hawkins

@ColoradoHusk The other tough part about this is they seemed genuinely extremely close, in a way that perhaps Dave is not with other members of the band. Of course that's just what we can see from our outside perspective, but they seemed to be kindred spirits from all available evidence. From what I've gathered a LOT closer than Dave was to Cobain, who apparently was a bit of a d!(k to Dave toward the end.
Plus Kurt had had several ODs the band knew about, which probably led to a bit of an air of inevitability about his ultimate passing. Obviously not the way anyone anticipated it but perhaps it was more anticipated. I did not learn until yesterday Hawkins had himself OD'd in his younger days and been in a coma for ~2 weeks before pulling through. Apparently Grohl didn't really leave his bedside much if at all during that... a bit of a reflection of their relationship. And Hawkins seemed to be doing a lot better dancing with his demons of late and been able to stay sober since then.
Addicition is a real evil b!^@h.
And obviously you feel for Hawkins' family first and foremost, but I wouldn't be surprised if this loss hit Dave a bit differently (more deeply) than some of the other band members.
What a loss.

Was there a food you hated while growing up, only to realize later you hated it because it was made poorly?
I (think) I have a pretty big one: steak. I really did not like actual steaks growing up... ribeyes, T-bones, the like. But it was because I didn't know anything about steaks and my parents would often cook them medium to well done and served with A1. It wasn't until I got older and had well-cooked steaks that I realized I liked them a lot.

Not sure if it was cooked poorly but I HATED asparagus as a kid. Can't honestly remember how Mom cooked it because I wouldn't so much as sniff it.
But as a proud big boy now asapargus simply cooked with some butter and garlic is pretty dang good. Just gotta be sure to sufficient cook it or it's like munching on sticks of green fiberglass.

Talk about an antidote for Kool-Aid. Just watch this clown show for one half of football. RIP hopes and dreams.

Sports Nightly has become a shell of it's former self.

What's a song that's almost entirely opposite of your general music tastes, but you can't help enjoying?

Mr. Bateman got taken out like, well, Mr. Bateman taking out a ball carrier by the second dose of his shot today. Worst pain I've been in in a while. Anyone else?

@MLB 51 We got the Moderna one!
@Decoy73 Yeah I had a similar response to you to the first one. Just a very sore arm. I was shocked by how hard the second one hit me. Definitely a good immune response but it destroyed me yesterday. Hope today/tomorrow go smoothly for you!
@knapplc From what I gather symptoms vary pretty wildly from person to person but if you don't have shortness of breath the fatigue is the worst. Obviously I don't have anything to complain about compared to anyone who got the disease. Hope you recover as quickly as possible with no long term symptoms man.

Why am I cursed every year with watching defenses that trip over their own limp phalluses. College and pro.

We won a game we weren't supposed to!!!!
And 10 years ago Courtney Osborne cause a sack fumble for a TD.

Wake up. The Martinez nightmare is over.

I'm also in the camp that wanted to roll with Luke and see what he could do.
But why crap on AM? He clearly gave things his all and went through a lot of crap to try to be the team's leader. Just because it didn't work out for whatever reason doesn't mean he doesn't mean he should be ridiculed.
Props to him for his efforts and hopefully whatever comes next is great for him.

Has anyone ever explored why the human depiction of UFOs is frequently so lame?

Seriously, conspiracy theorists can be extremely creative. When you're not bounded by the limits of logic or a factual basis for what you believe, you can create some really wacky s#!t. And yet the longstanding depiction of UFOs, presumably one of the most fantastical pieces of technology in existence, looks like somebody dismantled a fancy desk lamp and taught the top part to fly.

What's the deal these past couple of weeks? Seems everyone is trying to one up everybody else on social media for how many pints of salsa they canned. This is why I avoid Facebook. Who cares?

Any plans to do a Hsukerboard Fantasy Football league again this year, @Mavric?

Such a wonderful feeling when you start a dead sprint and your hamstring goes... Pop!
The best part is it doesn't even hurt, you just instantly know it's wrong.
