  1. When you finish your dissertation on Hunter's crimes I'd love to be in attendance when you defend it. Please keep us posted!
  2. A man like this wears his ignorance proudly on his sleeve and his following will try to turn the tables on you if you call them on their obvious xenophobia or outright unintelligence.
  3. Ahh yes, tried and true: ”Be afraid, very afraid! And also very angry!” Now where have I seen these type of tactics before. Hmmm… @Archy1221 I know you’re a HUGE Chomsky guy so I thought you’d appreciate this.
  4. Sorry, best we can do is a free gun for your classroom. Deal?
  5. teach ain’t afraid to throw up and in at 4th graders, man. That plate is HIS and those punks are gonna know it.
  6. I do agree Biden is like never try that. Of the two parties, his is the one that maintains the capacity for shame, much to the detriment of the Republic. So we’ll probably just continue our cycle of R’s becoming more and more unfettered by any kind of guardrail or legal framework and Dems telling everyone how bad that is while having no real counter. I obviously expect Trump to exploit every advantage he’s given and every rule or law he can bend or break in furtherance of his own agenda. So either way he will use this situation to his advantage. Yeah the theory I heard bandied about this morning that I think is EXTREMELY plausible is that certain justices (pretty easy to identify Thomas and Alito) are doing this on purpose and are going to slow-walk things as much as they can because they want to retire but they want Trump to name their replacements. Who would actually be surprised by this? Congrats America. We get what we deserve. Roberts can preside over an openly and unapologetically corrupt SCOTUS that drags the country further and further right with exclusively Trump appointed justices handpicked by the FedSoc weirdos for basically the rest of our adult lives. How’s that for a shot of optimism?
  7. I think I’m with @commando here. I would hope there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell they actually rule in his favor. That would be a catastrophically awful ruling just facilitating our slide into fascism. I don’t trust SCOTUS at all but I don’t even think they’re that stupid. The logical consequences of that ruling would be that Biden could just order a government-sanctioned hit job on Trump (or SCOTUS for that matter) and claim presidential immunity. If you think that’s insane, that’s literally one of Team Trump’s arguments. Unfortunately I think they’re just stroking their own sense of self-importance on a ruling they didn’t even really need to make. They were asked to take up the case last fall and they passed, sending it through the typical channels. But now obviously they need to have their say. Coincidentally it aligns perfectly with everyone’s favorite crime lord’s strategy of delaying everything as long as possible so he can’t be held accountable. And you’ll still get people arguing how he’s just exercising his rights and SCOTUS isn’t just a partisan group of FedSoc lackeys. It’s really embarrassing how badly one can exploit our justice system if they have unlimited resources from their cronies and moronic following footing their bills.
  8. SCOTUS so high on their own supply as high-minded apolitical neutral arbiters of the law (lol) that they just took up Trump’s ridiculous immunity argument that’s been destroyed at every lower level so they can in effect gift him another delay trying to run out the clock on justice. SCOTUS is a bad joke. There’s a reason their reputation is in the toilet. With lots of evidence they themselves are openly corrupt and able to be bought for the highest bidder, it’s no mistake they want to let the slimiest, most corrupt scumbag in our political hellscape slide by on his rather obvious crimes. But HEY! Look over HERE! It’s Hunter’s schlong!
  9. Screw that. Toughen up you pinko commie. I am hereby and henceforth calling for nuking the border until we figure out what the hell is going on. It’s a perfect plan. The illegals are not well equipped for cold weather as they’re currently openly pouring into our country through, naturally, the desert. So it’s a real 4D chess move to surprise them with a little nuclear winter. A little collateral damage is acceptable; Texas is pretty big and the Southwest sucks anyway. Personally I’m tired of these wussy politicians offering watered down solutions to real problems. We need ACTION!
  10. How far down the rabbit hole do you have to go to actually believe this is what liberals want?
  11. Ironic given the interaction in the post immediately below yours: When the King of Bulls#!tter Mountain is about to lead an entire party, of course they're going to focus on anything else. Frankly they have no room to complain about goalpost shifting when they're trotting out this goon. Personally I would advise you cancel your plans to write in Hunter Biden and get a load of this nutjob.
  12. Nah still my opinion. But it sucks when the shoe is on the other foot, huh? Frankly if we’re just gonna go gloves off (seems like Fox is more than happy to milk this subject for all it’s worth while their braindead following laps it up) maybe there should be a lot more coverage of Trump’s declining mental faculties. I mean what’s up with that? Not like he was the most stable guy to begin with. Now we’ve got untold levels of cognitive decline too. What is Team Trump trying to hide?
  13. I don’t know man that s#!t was still pretty funny. Their psyches are too fragile to admit it’s all about the R.
  14. Is this like the family photo thing in Back to the Future? like the weaker they get, the more letters disappear from their name?
  15. I’ve not yet met a proud Republican who can’t tell you in depth everything that was wrong about the great Russian collusion hoax of 2016, and yet here we are in 2024 and there is *one* degree of separation between the GOP and the literal Russian government. It appears the former either didn’t know better or just didn’t care. So that message would be received a lot more credibly if they weren’t still acting as Russia’s useful idiot.
  16. Yeah I know. It’s a shame that many people could fall for a kook huckster like Kennedy. But again I think that polling number primarily reflects a couple broader things about our system. A) People are mad the system doesn’t produce candidates they like and B) most voters who aren’t already decided are still generally politically disconnected and may just pick Kennedy right now based on name recognition. I suspect ultimately a couple dark money groups will move to hatchet Kennedy by highlighting some of the actually odious positions he holds and what a weirdo he actually is if his polling remains high. But the electorate is much different than it was in ‘92 or ‘96. People loathed the choices in 2016 too. The Libertarians had a very high profile ticket boosted by the other options. Between them and the Greens the finished with 4.35% of the vote. There is no viable Green this year so I suspect Kennedy ultimately settles closer to that number than his current polling. The wonder of our system is even if I’m right, we all get to nailbite over where that smaller percentage is concentrated before we know how upset we should be.
  17. Meh, maybe, maybe not. It’s a binary outcome. One of the two sides wins. So I don’t get too caught up in gaming out different variables or minor factors like third party. I’m sure as s#!t not losing any sleep over a Kennedy failson or some No Labels circlejerk that might impact things on the margins. Since I’m 100% locked in with my vote with no reservations, there are a couple points I hang my hat on that keep me sane these days. One is just that it’s not even March. The primary is still ongoing for both parties, nominally. There’s still so much that will happen yet that will affect public opinion and ultimately voting intention. The average American voter has the attention span of a goldfish. Thus I no more trust a poll for the November election in February than I do a primary poll in May of 2023. The other piece is that Trump hemorrhages support among his soft supporters if he’s convicted of ANYTHING. This one is a bit more conditional, as it requires the very slow burn of our justice system to continue cranking along and ultimately bend toward actual accountability. But if it does his non MAGA supporters are going to head for the exits. Poof, he loses. He simply cannot win with the hardcores alone. Thus I also don’t give a single rip what the hardcore MAGA crowd thinks or does. Once most voters stop daydreaming that this rematch isn’t inevitable, as much as we all don’t want it to be, many of the will realize Trump is the same corrupt, self-serving obnoxious prick he’s always been and they still really dislike him. Coupled with an actual criminal record I think it’s enough to sink him. I actually agree with most of your analysis and generally really enjoy your input anyway, this is merely playing devil’s advocate to find silver linings for anyone who’s too stressed out by all of this.
  18. “Here’s how the guy who was just fined $350M for fraudulent business practices is the real victim here.” The Trump apologism tour chugs along unabated. From the party of personal responsibility.
  19. Got dang it I'm pretty desensitized to the pure unadulterated derp engine that is Fox News but using Navalny's death to try to fluff Trump is pretty sick even for them.
  20. We can all agree the two party system blows goats. It’s a matter of opinion, of course, but I’m a hard disagree on the bold. And it’s not particularly close. Republicanism here is veering into some scary, dangerous territory. Dems at worst are a bunch of feckless cowards scared of their own shadows.
