How ticked off would you be as someone who played for one of the all time great NU teams to have to swallow this down & call it sunshine?

I think a lot of the NU greats try to put a good face on and not embarrass the current staff or the program when things start to go south. Maybe more brutal honesty like Matt was putting out there would actually lead to something better.

@ZRod He was just calling the game on the radio. If you ever want to listen in you can find it on the Husker website or TuneIn has the Husker IMG network as well. Sometimes I like to mute the TV guys & sync up the stream to get the hometown call.

Did you hedge on the KC-Washington game at all?  If I were one game away from hitting a 7-game parlay, I would have done some hedging.

@ColoradoHusk Nope. This was my first time on this book. Not familiar with how to hedge exactly. Decided to just let my $10 bet roll... 

Hedging is really easy, it's just betting the opposite side from your parlay.  I understand you were only going to lose $10, but if you were going to win over $1,000 or nothing from one game, I would have put a few hundred dollars on the Skins to ensure myself winning some cash.

Said he's stepping down from touring because he has a granddaughter that he wants to spend time with and life is short.  Sad for the little one.  

Sounds like he was in pretty bad shape during the last concert tour. He had to be carted around the concert arenas and helped onto the stage for each performance. He was able to do the concerts, but it must have taken a lot out of him to do so. He probably was on some pain killers during this time, as well. 

I had a friend at his very last concert last week.  Said the show was awesome.  But seeing Tom Petty at the Holleywood bowl would make everything awesome.  Hard to believe that show was only like a week ago.  He went downhill fast.

Dislike CC and his excessively long neck a lot.  Buck is ok depending on who he's with in the booth.  He's good w/Aikman.

@NM11046 I guess I didn't even think of Buck in the NFL. First thing I thought of with him was the MLB. I've got quite a few friends who are Cubs fans and according to them Buck was a huge homer last year for the Dodgers in the NLCS. I've always enjoyed listening to Buck do MLB games though. 

@NM11046 can't stand Buck with Aikman. Maybe it's because I'm an Eagles fan, but they are SUCH homers for the Cowboys (naturally).

Totally agree...if the physical requirements are 100 push ups, 100 sit ups and running a mile...all in under 12 minutes...Boom...there you go.  Those are the requirements and you either make them or you don't.  If my house is on fire...I don't give a rats ass who is pulling me out...I only give a rats ass that they CAN pull me out.

Well I think maybe they're discovering some of these types of training techniques may not be appropriate for younger kids. Unfortunately it will take a few of these tragedies to get everyone on the same page. I can't fault them for trying it though. Just sad.
