Man... for a program that hasn't won anything in 20 years, we sure still seem to live rent free in a lot of people's heads.

I think it's pretty clear now that the greater football world doesn't get Nebraska. We would rather go 0-10 if it meant the alternative option was not playing at all.
Not the goal but the game. -
Ahh, we're the pariah of the college football world again... feels just like 1995. Sorta.

Aussie Rules punter, yes please.

Children of 90s dynasty players shouldn't be going to Iowa. That's just not right :(

Not a skill player, but Harrison Phillips was great at Stanford and is now at the Buffalo Bills. Among skill players, Xavier Watts from Burke was another skill player which NU has lost out on, but it's too early to tell how good he will be at Notre Dame.
Jaylin Bradley was an Omaha-area recruit who I thought would be good at Nebraska, but his career never panned out.

I know much of Nebraska leans Chiefs, so, a heartly congrats to much of this message board

Thanks Joe Buck for reminding me every 30 seconds how badly the Packers were two weeks ago

This game might take five hours.

I'd support college football adopting NFL timing rules, particularly with the sheer amount of passing that happens. I was watching the game with a couple of buddies and from 8:41 p.m. to 8:53 p.m., the game clock went from ~7:10 down to ~5:45. No commercials or anything. Just legitimate on-air time because of clock stops, injuries, reviews, etc.
I think the games are getting to be too long.

A world without Neil Peart and Rush is a world lesser.

I wish someone would dump a bucket of french fries on me right now!

Oh, to be able to control the line of scrimmage.

Was anyone getting banned messages?

@CheeseHusker likely some spammer was using multiple Australian IPs and we blanket banned the whole country. I seem to remember something about that from back in the day.

This game nearly broke me.

@ladyhawke I didn't catch the postgame presser and tuned things out pretty quickly but he looked more p#ssed and disappointed than anyone else walking of the field.
Which is a refreshing change of pace from ho-hum, aww shucks Riley or Bo getting his butt thumped in big games and embarrassing us on the sidelines.

I never know what to feel about a game like this. It feels like they played so well but any time they let their guard down at all, some kind of disaster inevitably happens.
It seems like we have to play literally a perfect game to win, but our opponents don't. Is that just being overmatched, or something else.

What is it with AFC North games?

Is this rock bottom yet? It sure feels like it.

Watched the first half again. If Vedral doesn't bounce the ball off his knee, does this game take an entirely different trajectory? It could so easily have been 31-9 or even 35-9 at halftime.
What is it about one stupid thing triggering an avalanche of negative momentum that buries us in the end?

What also stinks is that a couple plays earlier, Frost called a great play on 1st down when he had Vedral fake the QB lead, and Warner was breaking open in the secondary. Vedral gave up on the route too early, tucked it and ran for a few yards. That play was set up for a TD with Vedral running the QB lead a couple plays in a row, and Vedral didn't execute.

Like @4skers89 said, Scott called it at the beginning of the season. This team isn't good enough to have a large margin of error. One or two mistakes they could over come, but when something happens almost every drive... There isn't enough talent on this team to dig us out of that.
-
Yeah, I said to someone after the game, for all the large and small errors in that game, the biggest thing that it came down to was two turnovers vs one. Turnovers are something you always strive to control, but some of them are always gonna be kinda fluky, like having the ball hit the QB's knee, or having a tipped pass somehow land right in the arms of a defender laying flat on his back.

I should have known what to expect after my VPN crapped itself and wouldn't allow me to DVR the game.
