  1. Perhaps the Patriots will let JJB announce Schiano's hiring in a couple of days.
  2. I'm thinking the 12.20.17 is referencing signing day #1. So I don't think this has to do with Cam, specifically.
  3. Nebraska beat Purdue by 1 who beat Minnesota by 14 who bean MTSU by 31 who beat Syracuse by 7 who beat Pitt by 3 who beat Duke by 7 who beat Northwestern by 24 who beat Iowa by 7. So we should win 229-135. proof
  4. Can confirm. Using ESPN FPI: NW 40.5% Minn 40.7% PSU 3.1% Iowa 35.1% Odds of each record are: 4-0 0.2% 3-1 6.5% 2-2 28.1% 1-3 43.0% 0-4 22.2% So a 34.8% chance of 2 or more wins.
  5. You're both thinking of Walker, Texas Ranger. Oh, hey, that's the recruit's name.

    Fo Fiddy

I'm pretty sure he said it was "fiddy fiddy."
  7. A) It wouldn't be a heartbreaking loss. B) It's possible to think we'll struggle in this game, or that we could lose, without it being attributed to PTSD from past Husker teams. C) It's fine that you're not impressed by them. Let's compare their numbers to Nebraska's: Indiana @ Florida International 2-4 (Beat FAU and UTEP) - Indiana won 34-13 Ball State 4-2 (Beat FAU, NIU, Georgia St and e. Kentucky) - Indiana won 30-20 Wake Forest 5-1 (Beat Duke, Syracuse, Indiana, Delaware St and Tulane) - Indiana Lost 28-33 Michigan State 2-3 (Beat Furman and Notre Dame) - Indiana Won 24-21 @ Ohio State 5-0 (Beat BGSU, Tulsa, OU, Rutgers and Indiana) - Indiana lost 38-17 PPG - 26.6 (81st) PAPG - 25 (55th) Opponent's Combined Record - 18-10 Strength of Schedule - 57th Nebraska Fresno State 1-5 (Beat Sacramento State) - Nebraska won 43-10 Wyoming 4-2 (Beat Illinois State and Colorado State) - Nebraska won 52-17 Oregon 2-4 (Beat California-Davis and Virginia) - Nebraska won 35-32 Northwestern 2-3 (Beat Duke and Iowa) - Nebraska won 24-13 Illinois 1-4 (Beat Murray State) - Nebraska won 31-16 PPG - 37 (33rd) PAPG - 17.6 (17th) Opponent's Combined Record - 10-15 Strength of Schedule - 82nd We are definitely a better team on paper. Nobody is disputing that. But the amount that we're better is open to some interpretation, and doesn't have any super compelling evidence either way. Given that this is a sport (aka something where you don't know what will happen), that it's the B1G, that they played OSU tough, and that we have hardly played anyone with a pulse to test the true merit of our own team, it's not unreasonable to expect this game to be a dogfight. A) Losing to Indiana would break my heart, theres just no reason for it. B) We have struggled at one time or another in every game thus far, it's not unexpected. Their body of work is only impressive because they kind of hung with Ohio State for a while, the game was over by the 4th quarter. If we emulate the Buckeye gameplan a bit we should be fine, 4th quarter is our best quarter. It's not going to be a cakewalk, but I don't expect a dogfight either. Wait a minute. You didn't mention that Nebraska beat Wyoming which beat Air Force which beat Navy which beat #6 Houston. But Rutgers is better. So we're no better than #2. http://www.myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com/default.asp?sport=CFB&winner=Rutgers&loser=Houston&year=2016&method=2
  8. Good luck to you. The site was actually pretty clear in terms of showing available seating.
  9. @skersfan, thanks for the heads-up. 5 tickets (in two orders) purchased this morning. As a Bay Area husker fan, we don't have a lot of options for home games on the West Coast.
  10. It's because we're better than us. http://www.myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com/default.asp?winner=Nebraska&loser=Nebraska&year=2012&method=2
  11. Sure it does. http://www.myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com/default.asp?winner=Indiana&loser=Nebraska&year=2012&method=2
  12. http://www.myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com/default.asp?winner=Iowa+St&loser=Nebraska&year=2010&method=2 Iowa St beat Texas Tech 52 - 38 Texas Tech beat SMU 35 - 27 SMU beat UAB 28 - 7 UAB beat Troy 34 - 33 Troy beat Bowling Green 30 - 27 Bowling Green beat Marshall 44 - 28 Marshall beat Ohio 24 - 23 Ohio beat Wofford 33 - 10 Wofford beat Furman 38 - 17 Furman beat Colgate 45 - 15 Colgate beat Monmouth NJ 30 - 29 Monmouth NJ is better than Delaware because Monmouth NJ beat Duquesne 44 - 17 while Delaware only beat Duquesne 30 - 6 Delaware is better than Nebraska because Delaware beat S Dakota St 26 - 3 while Nebraska only beat S Dakota St 17 - 3 Therefore, Iowa St is better than Nebraska in 2010 as shown in 13 rounds by a combined score of 472 - 321.
  13. 1,644 miles. Fort Lauderdale.
  14. ... "like a ragdoll" in describing what Suh did in throwing McCoy to the turf, you have to take a drink.
  15. Agreed. Good game by the refs.
  16. I haven't seen others comment on this, but I thought these refs had a pretty good game. The reviews almost always confirmed the original call (or at least close enough to accept it). There are always some to quibble, but from my seat on the couch with the benefit of replay, slo-mo, and HD, I'd give a good grade to the refs in this one. Now if they'd given us some ridiculously bad calls that overturned all of the turnovers, then I'd say they might have changed the outcome.
  17. Ideas for the next milestones to shoot for: 81,067 -- official capacity of Memorial Stadium 251,624 -- estimated population of the city of Lincoln 1,000,000 -- million vote "march for the Heisman" 1,783,432 -- estimated population of Nebraska The deadline is December 4 at noon. To get to the population of Nebraska, there would need to be just over 35,000 votes per day.
  18. I've been watching the top 3, and they haven't been moving like Suh. I'd bet he'll be in the Top 5 by Thursday.
  19. Rivals now has this headline: by John Talman Clearwater (Fla.) Countryside offensive tackle Tyler Moore is one of the top lineman in the country for the class of 2011. This weekend, he announced his pick over a long list of offers and from his final two of Nebraska and Florida. The Husker legacy is now ready to make his own name for the Big Red as of Friday....
  20. Any way to get Courtney Osborne in the mix so the LB crew could be... wait for it... Lawrence - Fish - 'borne
  21. According to this site, all FSN games will be in HD this year: DirecTV and/or Cox of course would have to pick up the HD feed for it to reach your home, and DirecTV hasn't always picked up the HD feed for ESPN GamePlan games in the past. I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm hopeful that the combination of this move by FSN and the use of new HD cameras for in-game replays by HuskerVision mean that we'll finally get HD for our $30 this year. Fingers crossed.
