This is a OSU move for Babb. If they get Babb, maybe we can get back Brown later down the road. Depends how their class fills out.
-
Sucks, but if we get Moore I'll be be fine. Confident K Williams will put together another solid WR class.

Really not a big deal. It's not like he was putting himself or someone else in an unsafe situation. Marijuana is far more prevalent in college athletics (and even the pros) than you might think. He was just unfortunate enough to get caught - seriously, did they search his room? Would we have the same reaction if they found a couple of beer bottles in his room? Doubt it.

Please... give the kid a break. It's no less safe than alcohol or tobacco...

Blades is not here yet. Though he just gradated a couple days ago, it seems likely that he'll be taking some classes and showing up later.
I haven't seen anything on Watts.
Just as long as he gets here, I'm good.
Saw Riley today said we're waiting on a couple of guys and that we're hopeful they'll join in the second half of summer classes. Is Andrew Ward on campus yet?

I'm seeing reports today that say:
As of Sunday FSU was out of the running basically. But that was before CB's.
Texas recruiting guys still think A&M.
Plenty of others still think Neb.
Loved working with KWill yesterday and was impressive.
Will do a video commit.
Here's the question - has he already filmed the commitment video? And if he has, when did he film it?
-
Sounds like Florida State fans think he will be visiting them again sometime soon before he decides. That could be the reason for these picks. We can only wait it out. Obviously would go crazy if he picks us.

I uderstand UT wrecked its last two conferences, but I really don't think they would have as much control in the Big Ten. The conference already has equal revenue and pretty solidified academic standards. I can't see them being able to throw their weight around in the Big Ten, especially because I don't see other schools just falling in line with whatever agenda they might try to press.
This is exactly why this whole discussion (at least on the UT side) is kinda silly - Texas won't join a conference where they can't just impose their will on everyone else. Have people forgotten the whole 'Exodus to the PAC' they were talking about in 2011? Texas said to them "We'll join you and bring a few other schools... you just have to let us have our own TV network." The PAC said "Aw hell naw," so Texas took their ball and went home. Literally the only reason the Big 12 still exists is because they're the only ones dumb enough to let Texas run the show.

A lot has changed in six years though. Their network is failing and the Big 12 continues to look unsustainable. Texas could potentially opt to go independent if needed, but why not go to power 5 conference for more stable TV revenue?

Back to the topic, the more I think about it, the more I support adding OU and UT. The move would certainly strengthen the west division and potentially balance out the conference. Much like the old Big 12 North, the Big Ten West takes a back seat to the Big Ten East - rightfully so considering that the majority of the conference's talent and prestige plays in that division.
We also would get two great rivalries back and we'd likely improve our Texas recruiting as well. Nebraska vs. Oklahoma and Nebraska vs. Texas was and would continue to be very appealing to recruits and national TV audiences. Not only would we resurrect our annual series with our greatest rival (OU) and our series with arguably out most hated foe (Texas), we also regain part of our identity. OU is fused with who we are as program. Bringing that series back would bring a new surge of energy into the program - that series means more to our fans than any other one does or likely ever will.
I understand UT wrecked its last two conferences, but I really don't think they would have as much control in the Big Ten. Looks like Deontre Thomas made it:

Looks they all started to move in this weekend. Can we get any conformation on who's currently on campus and who's not?
Especially interested in Blades, Thomas and Watts.

I'd rather take Wisconsin on Black Friday.

Visiting Bama Monday.
I don't like that...

Why would we "hate it?" Think everyone here loves having KJJ and his dad's support!
I think you're right about Bookie though. Maybe Fuller or our 2018 QB commit could be a big recruiter for us too.

Ohhh, he listed us first!

Where do you see that?!

How much did Oregon State offer his family for that commitment?...

Glad to hear Collin Miller is doing well. We really need to get better at DE.huge need at that position.

This is BS. Can someone start a petition?

I saw everything I needed to about this staff last night. We were beat in EVERY facet of the game. To be brutually honest, we have sunk to a mid-tier status and we are being led by mid-tier coaches.
Love my Huskers, and I'll still watch every game with my fullest enthusiasm, but I really believe we're going to have to wait for the next coaching staff before we can hope to get back to being a continual conference and someday playoff contender.
Obviously it'd be ridiculous to fire Riley right now, but in 3-4 years when we're still in the same place, I hope we actually put in the money to get a proven head coach. When we cut corners, we pay for it both on the field and in the buy-outs. I'm waiting for an administration that actually shows it has a commitment to winning at a high level.

Throw cigarettes in there too - they kill nearly a half-a-million Americans per year.
And over 88,000 Americans die from alcohol poisoning every year.
However, there are zero documented cases of people who've died from marijuana overdose. Sure there are certainly thousands of deaths caused by marijuana impaired drivers, but how is that any different than alcohol?
