If i can get a good deal, absolutely.  I have already had it and getting my vaccination.  My wife just got her second round of the vaccine, so we are good to go.

@swmohuskerIf you do, one piece of advice - Puerto Vallarta was VERY sneaky about how they announced their effectual two-week closure of all tourism activities, clubs, bars, public events, etc. Only restaurants were staying open. I only found out about it because I was reading through their government tourism site and they had a little blurb update about it. We had friends who were still going to go and three days before their trip they had no idea.  It was almost like PV was trying to announce the closure with as little publicity as possible so that some foreign travelers would miss it and still come visit.

Would like to in May. Got married during the pandemic and never got to give the wife a honeymoon - would be a great way to end 14+ months of being stuck inside.

Well, 20 years ago, we had a kid up our street who would shovel everything for I think around $15. That was his going rate for mowing, too... something like $15 to mow, $20 to bag. Based on how the costs of virtually everything else has increased during that time, something around $40 would seem fair.

      B.B. Hemingway

Our minimum for sidewalk shoveling/blowing is $65, if it's more than the minimum we charge $0.29/ linear foot, based on a 4 ft. sidewalk, driveways, we measure. That's up to 8".... We'd be making a killing if we were in Nebraska this week.  We don't get that kind of snow often here.... Our minimum for lawn service is $40/per, so @Enhance is on the money there....

And I would make him a friendly shark, a Disney production, and you could swim with him.  And he would help you rescue people.  Plus the music undertones would be different too...

Why?  Because I'm still slightly paranoid in the ocean deeper than 3 feet!

Probably the weirdest one I ever got was from a bunch of Nebraska players in 71ish when I was just a little kid. I went to one of their tour Nebraska deals and I wasn't prepared to get autographs but I was wearing this dorky army green bucket cap so had them sign that. Maury Damkrogger, Frosty Anderson, Van Brownson, Johnny Rodgers, Bill Kosch, Joe Blahak, Woody Cox, Bill Olds are the ones I remember being signed. Tagge was there but IIRC he had a long line and I was going for quantity not quality. That cap has been gone a long long time.

Yeah, Illinois and St John's both covered easy. I'm guessing Nova will cover also because that's how things go for me on 4 teamers. If I could just get the first 3 to hit then it's a no lose situation.

      Agree about hair bands.

And I'll say this: Gen-Xers were so proud of themselves for wiping them out during the grunge era, but I really think it was detrimental to rock's long-term popularity. 80s hard rock & metal were fun! And as it turns out, a lot of people like fun music.

But then in the 90s, it became much more focused on angst and depression and aggression. And let's be real: it's almost entirely white guy angst, depression, and aggression. It certainly has its place (I listen to tons of it), but it's not gonna appeal to as broad of an audience as the more fun and universal themes that were more popular in 80s rock.

Smells Like Teen Spirit...my HS was in the same league as the school where that was filmed - Cobain’s HS in Aberdeen WA. A small, rainy blue-collar town right by the coast. It was a little crazy as a 3rd grader when my classmate showed up in black and Cobain t-shirt mourning his death. I won’t forget that, the guy was a legend to grunge culture and a junkie to others.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

I know some people will argue that Nirvana wasn’t that great or that others defined the genre better but there is no denying that Smells Like Teen Spirit, more than any other song, signified a huge paradigm shift in music. Probably the biggest thing musically in my lifetime. I like Nirvana but I’m not saying this out of some weird personal grunge preference, it’s just a fact that it was a significant change.
