  1. I don't give a crap about the new rule. However, maxipads take up a whole pocket, and women's jeans pockets are often too small for a phone. I didn't read any of the details on whether any kind of purses are allowed. Maxipads...Heck...imagine trying to fit shoulder pads into a bag.
  2. What do you do for the environment? I have a recycling bin and I turn the water off when I brush my teeth. That is really about it, what about you guys?

  4. The 5 things: Not lose to Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa or Rutgers.
  5. We are looking into the Oregon game too. Just trying to find the best place to land!
  6. I thought we weren't using the G-word anymore? Also, you forgot Rutgers. Ha! I did forget Rutgers, thanks! I see those games as gimmies and I probably always will. Sadly, it seems like our coaching staff thinks that Dick Butkus and Red Grange still play for the Illini.

  8. I think one issue is we have far too high of expectations for our police force in regards to the people we sometimes hire as police officers. Don't get me wrong - they all deserve our respect for putting their lives on the line every day, but I personally know several police officers who aren't overly intelligent people. I've also met several police officers who I would have moral and ethical concerns putting around my family. Yet, we demand incredibly high standards the moment they put on that badge. And we should - I would never question or argue against that. It's just a difficult dynamic. I don't think a lot of police officers should be in the positions they're in, I think it's tough that our world is in a place that demands the high standards they're required to meet and, so long as the human element is involved in justice, we're going to see horribly tragic situations like this occur. So true!
  9. That is cold bloody awesome! Hopefully some don't feel it is "harsh" of his dad to go public...I think it is a boss move.

  11. And there might be one more... I PMed a few...Colo, I will email you
  12. This is pretty much 100% true. It's like when union car guys lost jobs cause of overseas production...they didn't blame the cheap labor...they blamed the cheap workers (people)...or even the race. Coal miners that lost jobs aren't blaming natural gas...they blame PEOPLE. We always blame people. Remember we don't lose recruits to other teams… We lose recruits to boosters that are giving them handouts. It might not be right but it's what we do.
  13. Explains why he wasn't recruiting. Hopefully he is all good!
  14. My god that looks so good. I like putting that over some bread.
  15. If you have the chance, get down to the CWS. So much fun!
  16. This post is full of BS. Income doesn't have anything to do with if someone is predestined to not support environmentalism. There are many many many 1%ers that support environmental causes. They have the income to donate to them and they also have the income to pay for more expensive services where the expense is caused by environmental actions. On the flip side, there are one hell of a lot of people in that $35k income range that have lose their jobs or have been hurt financially due to environmental activism. The coal minors are a prime example. Yep and Yep. And I would add to it that a lot of people do care about the environment but that for a lot of people recycling is really the only way they either care or know how to help.
  17. Temps have been amazing here in Omaha...Usually for the CWS it is horrible.

  19. Well.... http://preseason.stassen.com/consensus/2017.html Yank. Neither NW or Minny will beat us this year or finish ahead of us. Take that to the bank. I don't think they will either, (or you're looking at a house cleaning), but it seems that nobody expects anything from NU this year. Which is fine with me at this point. I don't understand it...but...OK. I really don't get it either. When Riley was hired all we heard was how amazing he was at Oregon State, how he did so much more with so much less. Now, that he has so much more as far as talent, staff, support and facilities...those same "writers" seem to be turning on him or have forgotten was they said in the past or clearly did not mean what they said. He is actually getting less respect now than he did while going 5-7 at OSU. We won 9 games last year with a QB that was a horrible fit for the type of offense this staff wants to run and knows how to run well along with a bad DC. Now, we have a multiple QBs in the system that are custom fit for this offense and they have been in the system for over a year......along with what everyone agrees is going to be an upgrade at DC .......and we are going to do worse????? Exactly, I don't get it. I am starting to think that the Riley love from the past was a bunch of BS. "Heck, he is a great guy and sometimes he upsets a really good team...we might as well say he is awesome and just needs to be at a school with tons of resources" But it seems clear they didn't mean it
  20. Yeah, I can see that but the QB is a huge upgrade and so is the DC... Oh well, who knows! We will see how it all plays out!
