  1. This will be a book, much like Scientology is a religion. Ha! Maybe John Travolta will write a forward!
  2. Mine...Cell Phones! When they first started to get really popular I was convinced it was just a fad, I was totally sure that people would NOT want to have a freaking phone with them 24/7.
  3. I would read it, I love topics like that. I don't care who the author is of anything I read. I will either like it or not based on what I think. Like a movie, I don't care who directs it. Except for those Earnest Goes to Camp movies, that director was a freaking artist!
  4. That is a lot of weight, for a guy with his build that is probably not on until his Jr year. But I have a feeling that Gebbia has "it". Coaching as long as I have (and being really bad at it) I have found that some guys just have "it" their passes that get tipped get caught by another WR instead of getting picked off...the pass that looked just short of the line turns out to be a first down. It is hard to explain but some guys just have it.
  5. I have been around some very very wealthy families for a very very long time. I can tell you this Kids of rich parents are a$$hole$ as often as kids with middle class parents and poor parents. Also, most of the really rich families I have known have been nothing but kind, caring and giving. Not all, but most.
  6. Gene Simmons of KISS had a great quote...he was asked about musicians today...he said something like "It amuses me when musicians today say they are not doing it for the money and that they are embarrassed by the amount of money they make...those those musicians I want to offer my help...for every dollar you are embarrassed about please send a check, to Gene Simmons, because I like money and I want more of it...and I want to help you not feel embarrassed."
  7. I would love to help! This is a Friday game so it will be different, I would think. Joe's Bar, KAMS and Red Lion are fun. Joe's was the most fun but again this was on a Saturday. The Greeks rent out the bars on game day (again, I don't know about Friday) and the bars open up early for them, so it is a huge party for about two hours before the bar really opens. So they are packed. The tailgate spot that they are putting a lot of money into is the Grange Grove, it is literally in front of the stadium. It is free to get it (no cars) and you can even wheel in a keg. They will have live bands and beer gardens set up. It will be a bit bland UNLESS this Friday night thing gets the place rocking, which it might.
  8. If you rape you should have your balls cut off, Period. If after that you can still play football or join science club or debate team, great.
  9. Ha! My buddy is a LPD...he loves working on game day, easy money for him.
  10. It is what bad B movies do and also every 80's movie and every John Hughes movie. It works...but not for this. I don't see a happy ending in the traditional sense.
  11. PJ Fleck might have "it"...I don't know but dang he can sell what he believes in.

Do you feel better? I truly hope so...

As James Brown says, I feel good.

  12. I agree. NCAA is a good ole boys network that doesn't want to give up anything that they have.
  13. Bet on Tanner Lee over 2899 yards

Two things that will be the key to the season, 1) Lee being the huge improvement at QB that most fans are hoping for, and 2) The D improving significantly under Diaco.

    3. JJ Husker

Yup, and yes I am counting on those two things improving. If they don't my mood will change quickly for the worse.

I understand the thought of improved QB play, because it really can't get worse in terms of passing the ball. I just wonder how much it will make a difference in the overall team.

  14. Maybe Dirk can write a long article about it?
  15. Lucky had great numbers under the worst coach in Husker history (sort of)...in a lame offense. You mean this offense? Play 1: Lucky up gut for 3 yards Play 2: Short pass, incomplete OR Lucky to the right kind of for 1 yard Play 3: Lucky up gut for 2 yards Play 4: Punt and hope for the best And for that offense you need a 300 page playbook!
  16. Never been, I hear it is a pain getting there. Lots of people will tell you they had bad experiences so let them weigh in and see how you feel about it.
  17. We have a policy against assassinating foreign leaders. That phrase needs a wink emoji, because there have been a few foreign heads of state that have not survived US "intervention." There was the overthrow of the Iranian government in the 1950s where we put the Shah in power, various coups and government overthrows in Central & South America sponsored, funded or directly operated by the CIA, similar actions from Africa post-WWII, Manuel Noriega in Nicaragua in the 1980s, Saddam Hussein in Iraq under W... and that's not remotely a full list. So while we may not directly put bullet into brain, we sure do depose foreign heads of state, and often they don't survive the process. Exactly...
  18. We have a policy against assassinating foreign leaders. Of course we do!
  19. Lucky had great numbers under the worst coach in Husker history (sort of)...in a lame offense. Imagine him playing in a up-tempo spread. I agree with you, it was the coaching and scheme too.
  20. LOOOOOOOVE some of the posters here! Keep it up!

I know you love me teach, you don't have to make it a PSA

  21. You thinking Avery replaces him?. Mo Barry Yep...Barry.
  22. Nice humble brag about getting accepted into Harvard Well...the process did cost like 100 dollars...I should get something out of it!
  23. Stanford does okay. For years and years and years Ivy teams kicked ass and from what I remember when I applied to Harvard (and was accepted) it seemed pretty hard to get in. But, Rosen is right and I have said it for years...those guys have it a bit more rough than we like to pretend. Now, are the demands stupid? Yes, they are but they are still demands that have to be met. Now, do football and school "go together" yes, they do, there are lots of students that work a lot or full time and still go to school. So yeah, it goes together. It is just harder.
