this thread is out of control. Please remember there are many lives involved in this incident, especially the victim and the family but certainly MJ. Almost as important is that there are always two sides to any story. None of us know what happened, or why. Maybe we will never know. That is OK.

I don't believe the thread is "out of control", however I do believe some peoples emotions are "out of control".

only if you view women as possessions

Damn, so if it was someone he caught cheating with his wife and, if he didn't lay a finger on his wife it still doesn't change your opinion partner? You shouldn't let personal emotions cloud logical deductive reasoning.

"I tell him all of the time, 'I sacrificed my career for you!' God had other plans, we got pregnant at the end of my season."

Interesting quote. Not gonna speculate, but I do not recommend older men to marry younger women, EVER. She looks at least 10 years or more younger than Joseph. I know the psychological make up well here. There is also an older dead twitter account of hers as well, but nothing interesting sticks out.

Did you forget that two times already I said I “used” to be in LE? Do you know what I do today? I could be a defense attorney for all you know. GTFOH

I completely understand. But, do you understand that you are commenting upon your "experience" in "LE", which means  you are commenting  from one side(plaintiff)? Do you understand that means you are not giving your perspective or expertise opinion from someone who has been arrested or that has been accused of something by LE? Maybe it's just a simple misunderstanding of what I am trying to communicate?

I said I “used to be in LE” so you’re just an idiot and I’m not speaking one one side. You just don’t know your head from your a$$ and are trying to comment things you have zero clue on. Read a book.

Brother man, are you dense? If you are on "LE" you are on one side, aka prosecutors, aka state, aka plaintiff. What that means is that, you are not on the DEFENDANTS side, aka person arrested, aka the accused.  Did I color that within the lines suffice for you to have the old synapses fire up buddy?

If you knew anything about the law works, you would know it didn’t happen a while back or else they would have been “serving a warrant” and that isn’t what the media release said happened.

Excuse me, I wouldn't characterize dealing with violent offenders, molesters, murderers and a whole range of other dangerous personalities on a continual basis, sometimes delivering death notifications and occasionally having one's own life threatened as an occupation in the service of the public's interests particularly "privileged".

Thank you for proving my point. You are speaking from one side only.

As a previous LE officer in NE. The statute of strangulation doesn’t mean the victim has to be choked out cold. Hands around the neck are not enough to be charged. The action has to prevent oxygen flow to the victim. Marks around the neck are one of many things that could be used as probable cause for an arrest, but red marks by themselves are not enough. Officers are also supposed to look for red marks and bruising around the victim’s neck in the shape of fingers/hands. Witnesses can’t just say his hands were around the victim’s neck, but a witness would have to say the victim’s face was turning purple or the witness must be confident the victim couldn’t breath (example: when the suspect let’s go of the victim’s neck, the victim could be heard gasping for air). One of the biggest signs of strangulation and lack of oxygen is looking at a victim’s eyes. Specifically, any petechiae (red dots) in the white of the eyes is evidence of a sever lack of oxygen. Also important to note that the victim does not have a say so in the state of nebraska on whether or not they want to charge their loved one (suspect) with domestic violence. Police don’t ask the victim if they want to press charges and it is not the victim’s decision. Domestic violence is one of the ONLY statues in the state of NE in which even the officer has absolutely no discretion whether or not an arrest is made. The statue says if there is probable cause the officer “shall” make the arrest and if they don’t make the arrest the officer can be charged with a crime.

This is nonsense. Obviously, someone who has never been in the "system". #PrivilegedPeople

Would you suspect drugs or alcohol?  Seems an odd thing to do on a Wednesday. Or maybe it happened awhile back?

Urban Meyer is interested only because the Nebraska job has become a cash cow, plain & simple. We've got a whole series of coaches now, who came here for the dump truck  full of cash they would "earn" and then the three dump trucks full of cash they would get paid to leave after they have dashed the hopes and dreams of eternally optimistic Nebraska fans.

AD Steve Pederson fires Solich with no plan to replace him whatsoever. He woos Urban Meyer when he as still at Utah (5 year contract worth $400K/year). He interviewed interim Head Coach Bo Pelini and former NU QB Turner Gill, but hires Bill Callahan.

AD Pederson is fired and replaced by Tom Osborne, who fires Callahan and hires Bo Pelini.

Osborne retires as AD (for the 2nd time) and is replaced by Eichorst.

Eichorst fires Pelini and hires Riley.

Eichorst is fired and replaced by Moos.

Moos fires Riley and does what he was brought to Nebraska to do - hire Scott Frost. The inexplicable thing he did was to later give him a contract extension.

Moos suddenly "retires" and is replaced by Trev Albert. His Job One is to fire Scott Frost and hire his replacement, but not until some apparently powerful boosters finally understand Frost is never going to be the answer.

Frost gets a bigger buyout than the previous three coaches combined (though not by much). Alberts has bought himself some time to deliberate by making Mickey Joseph the interim. There is an outside chance Mickey shines and makes his job difficult, but make no mistake - Trev Alberts reputation as an AD is going to be based entirely on how this decision plays out.  Osborne is the only one who made a good decision at HC hire, and I hope he's still serving as a consultant (for both Mickey and Trev).

    I just don't feel good about Urban Meyer. He's just a ...

I'm guessing you didn't hear about the one where Osborne and boosters kept Trev from firing Scott last year?

There's not an available job or likely to be available job this year better than Nebraska. And that's not just me being a homer. Last year was a bad year to be hiring. This year does not appear to be stacking up that way at all.

You do realize when "coaches" make choices on where "they want to coach", there are other intangibles taken into consideration besides facilities right?  Like local schools, local food, local fans, local entertainment, people? I mean there is a reason Lincoln Riley went to USC, and it wasn't because of facilities.  I just think we have one of the most PRIVILEGED fan-bases in ALL OF College Football! So much so it's clouding the minds of regular everyday normal fans about where we are as a program in 2022.

Deion has been an FCS coach for just over two years. Give him time at an FBS school, preferable P5, and some success there before we consider hiring him.

The last thing Nebraska needs is another coach with very little FBS experience.

    Just like Frost?
