  1. He was good enough to have Texas beat with two seconds left.
  2. Niles Paul who really showed some Husker True grit this season has ascended a few steps. And what a joy it is to see. His uncles Ahman Green and Mike Green 1969 have to be very proud of his Holiday Bowl game. With that bloodline, it is exciting to know the best is yet to come from Niles Paul! "Niles Paul did a little bit of everything for Nebraska on Wednesday, and the junior wide receiver was rewarded for his efforts with a large, heavy trophy. Paul earned the Holiday Bowl’s offensive most valuable player award after the Huskers’ 33-0 victory over Arizona. Paul caught a 74-yard touchdown pass — Nebraska’s longest touchdown reception ever in a bowl game — and finished with four catches for 173 yards. His 796 receiving yards this season rank fifth all-time at NU in a single season. “I’ve been saying all year we’ve got a very potent offense, and we just needed some opportunities to go out there and make plays, which we did,” Paul said. “I’m just glad Coach (Shawn) Watson put us in the position to do that.” Paul sparked Nebraska in special teams, too. He split two defenders on a 28-yard punt return that set up an Alex Henery field goal, and he returned the opening kickoff of the second half 49 yards. That led to another Henery field goal. “I was just doing what I can for the team,” Paul said. “Those other guys went out there and blocked hard for me, and I just followed my blocks.” Paul saved his biggest play for last, when he caught Zac Lee’s deep pass in stride and ran untouched to the end zone. “The corner was biting on a lot of short routes,” Paul said. “He was just sitting there, so we talked to Coach about running a double move, and it worked, obviously, because he fell.”" link http://huskerextra.com/articles/2009/12/31...f6854185479.prt
  3. Zac Lee had a great game! And he has been one tough guy all season. He has grown. I am very proud of this team for the hard work and how they never once folded. This team led by Zac lee just kept coming. Even when the fans got on them they just gathered themselves kept working and kept coming. The Bo Pellini character and persona became the hallmark of guys who would just never quit. How fitting the early seasoin goat, Matt O'Hanlon finished as the defensive player of a most remarkable Holiday BOWL.
  4. good golly molly! a forum to bash our QB and our band ourbowl game and every nuance this is just like the NFL
  5. yes way too expensive with a 98 million budget and most from football and the bowl paying for travel and expense way too expensive but Millard West 96 menber band is flying to the Rose Bowl looks like we do have a pro team it is not about the band or the students all money for one thing the ad department and big power fat cats
  6. there is a list and when you see who went and how many rooms seats and meals it will shock and embarass you most of the peoiple who go for free could afford to pay they are fat cats stealing perks from students under state freedom of information they disclose but months later
  7. My feeling is the band is a priority not Regents and politicans. The band should have flown! The Bowls pay for these expenses but the adminstrators put the band on a bus and put a bunch of freeloaders and the freeloader's entourage on a jet and get em a limo and hotel and meals and hotel first class all the way. We are the fourth most valuable program but rather selfhish about sharing with the students and student life experiences "4. Nebraska Cornhuskers Team Value: $93 million Profit: $49 million Head Coach: Bo Pelini Conference: Big 12 Previous Value Rank: 18 Lincoln, Neb., Metro Population: 295,486 Donations required by Nebraska for season ticket holders to keep their seats totaled $15 million last season. "
  8. I was sad to see that our band was forced to remain in Lincoln. It seems since they take so many freloading big shots there was no money for airfare just a dangerous long winter bus ride. This affirms NU is all about the money and not the students. Just like moving the UNL students to the worst seats in the stadium and then cutting the number and raising the prices!
  9. None of it is on the players is it? It is all on the coaches. Did you ever think that maybe just maybe Holt, Gilleylen and Okafor just aren't that good? Gilleylen did all of his damage against the Sun Belt and couldn't do anything against anybody else. Same with Holt and Okafor can't beat out AJ Jones. End of story time to move on. Of course, they were good, but now, due to the great coaching they just are not good enough! Just like Dillard, not good! Just like Suh and our defense who went from 107th to 9th with same players. Suh was really not that good until Bo coached him up! Just blame the players, really? Not good enough, the tell me, why recuit them why give them scolarships. We have very poor coaching on offense unless your last name is Cotton!
  10. he is riding the bench along with top recuits like Okafor and The 6-foot, 215-pound Gilleylen was dubbed in the preseason as NU's deep threat, the fastest of a group that returned minimal starting experience. Through four games, he led the team in receiving yards, averaging almost 32 yards a catch as Nebraska stretched the field. Then he was sent to the bench and Watson's offense started to get worse every game until Texas the worst offensive showing in what 60 years. Give the offensive coach and his huge pay package a pat on the back and a raise!
  11. where can you find the 9s in Omaha?
  12. even caught a pass from Joe Ganz! LOL
  13. King says he talked to a number of pro souts and they are all drooling to get Suh. They describe him as a once in a decade pick. So whoever has the first draft pick may take him even if do not need him and trade him in just minutes for a very high price!
