  1. This is the most ridiculous falsehood in this entire thread. Bo had way better freaking players then anything remotely put on the field by this staff. I am not even going to get into the D Line he had ready to go when he was fired. He had identified that and recruited beasts to that position. 2 of them were the most underutilized players in Nebraska history. Ahh that's right though, that wouldn't have continued right? That's always the stupid narrative? He couldn't recruit right? As far as I've seen this staff hasn't even come close to being even in the running for guys of Bos classes calibur. Riley's and Frosts best players were still Bo recruits. There's no revisionist history here. This dumping on the guy who was clearly a superior coach of the last 4 is crazy. I liked winning, we won, we were never more then a game out of the top of the division. Big game comment right? I'll take all those big game blowouts to the desecrations of Memorial stadium that occurred after he left.
  2. Cry me a freaking river about the national stage. "Good" teams continually to this day get hammered in big games. He also was in big games because his team's were good. Every single Scott Frost team would get slaughtered by any of Bos teams.
  3. 17 in the 4th, while Martinez racks up 200 yards and Nebraska fans will conjure up some look at those stats excuse as to how good he is.
  4. Actually his best players were still Bos players hilariously enough
  5. There wasn't any reason for that not to happen the last 2 years as well and the excuses and whining about why that didn't happen are ridiculous.
  6. Especially if I am standing on my head.
  7. Matt Davison is that you? Matt......did you get drunk and start posting again?
  8. Well then you are going to continue to see the losses pile up if you don't have offensive play makers. Also continued blame for the OL is tired. They weren't awful. QB is the most concerning position and it's not even close.
  9. That's because there is no sky anymore just a dark cloud filled with fear and terrible football
  10. Ya you all keep saying that about players and Nebraska still continues to be awful. So everyone leaving always seems to supposedly make us better.
  11. That would be great, still highly unacceptable.
  12. I wasn't necessarily advocating as to who is the better coach. I'm referring to the stupid we needed to burn it down/ rebuild/ culture change. Similarly the bare closet thing. Simply coaching well can win you some games because you are the more talented team. The basic excuses of the fan base here in the moment are using excuses that many others don't, the coach the same way. You are seriously going to come out in the press and say something about the guys that were here 3 years ago? In a loss to Iowa, I mean come on. It just feeds that narrative, I truly feel that Michigan state had a worse problem with that. when you watched that game you see the difference in attitude between teams. During the Colorado game you saw that exact same thing. Personally I think that guy is a pretty good coach, that withstanding, this more about the excuses then how I feel about the potential coach. Lastly if Frost can't jump off that wagon at some point it's going to tough. It's not Mike's fault anymore and if he doesn't personally start becoming more accountable how do you think the players will continually act? Like still talking smack to Illinois after you getting your gut punched in the forth? These are things that culture is trying to instill might not be the best at the time. Your team just finds more reasons about what happened "wrong" during the week then right. Example of what was said about practice. You can have your players and coaches backs all you want, or the most want in the world to win. If it doesn't correspond to what we are teaching or instilling needs to be changed you get more of the same. So yes in my estimation it looks like Mel Tucker isn't farting around blaming his last staff, he's beating Michigan in his first year and taking down a top 8 team while his team believes they can.
  13. But Michigan state doesn't have to do because they had a long tenured head coach getting crucified. They have lost scholarships, changed an entire staff, and now successfully won more games as an underdog then Frost. IN 5 GAMES AS HEAD COACH. Burning to the ground is an excuse for people to use to rationalize the fact they thought they were correct. Frost has continually thrown his team under the bus, found dumb excuses after games. He also generally talks like it's not his fault we are losing. Sorry it's substantially his fault. Burning it down...such an terrible excuse for terrible football. From a guy that won't take some responsibility. Lastly the only time he shows any emotion is a freaking field goal play. Mel Tucker is better coach at Michigan State in his first year then Scott Frost is in his 3rd.
  14. Quit using the word rebuild, it's overplayed, coaches across the nation walk into way worse situations. With way worse players and change things in a hurry. His coaching has been deplorable on game day. Those are just facts.
  15. Let this sink in. Noah a projected "3rd team" player on Nebraska's team is the third leading passer in the big ten. His offense scores 30 points a game. His team's average recruiting ranking is 70th over 4 years. His offensive coordinator is in his first year. Noah has chance to have his team win more games this year then Nebraska. That in itself is a disgrace and someone needs to be fired.
  16. Lol Armstrong was far and away a better passer then any of these 2. It isn't even close
  17. The fields only so big. It doesn't extend beyond the out of bounds line. Screen passes are being run correctly, it's almost impossible to screw up that route. Throwing into triple coverage is a choice by the quarterback, not the receiver.
  18. These threads are so just ugh. No one wants to stay calm, people want to watch winning football. People don't want to watch am arms crossed coach on the sideline with his unenthusiastic team commit dumb mistakes all the time. No one wants to stay calm while turning the corner has been right at our finger tips for 3 years. No one wants to see a quarterback who is scared of everything play football. No one wants to stay calm while Indiana, Baylor, Iowa state ect. Continue to improve and be successful while we still use the f*@^@%@ BS culture excuse and look what Scott had when he got here. That crap is done and staying calm hasn't produced any tangible results. So no I will not stay calm and you shouldn't either.
  19. Ya they think there so good they run it up the middle on 3 yard line.... right.... RIGHT?!
  20. So basically Frost minus the Carl part?
  21. You are? With most people's "analysis" on here coming from them reading a box score or what Uncle Ed said the Huskers looked like? I'm not surprised in the least, there are tons of "fans" or fanatics that won't even know the score until someone they know tells them. Example 3 yard run up the middle on first down, responses from fans in the stands or the bar: "Why would you even call that?" Shrieking girl "OMG that was so bad" "Pfft in the 90s that would have gone for 60 yards" "This team is horrible." All in the span of the offense lining up for 2nd and 7 and the play doing exactly what it was designed to do. Then will come on the message board and spout off something about what they saw, which they probably didn't because they were doing something else. If your kids have sports I get it. If you went to a leisure activity and then think you have some great commentary on the game, tell your shrieking significant other that probably doesn't understand the first down run. No one else cares
