  1. I'm actually pretty excited about next year. Sure we are losing a lot of starters on defense, but the d was pretty awful this year. so maybe some fresh blood will spark something good. it honestly can't get too much worse. And with the offense together another year continuing to make strides, i can see a 1-2 loss season going into the conference championship again. hell, might even go undefeated going into the conference championship game if the young defense shows some life.
  2. Do we even practice during the week? i don't think i've seen a team this consistently bad in the first half of games since coach eric taylor's dillon panthers.. fortunately, we are only down 4, and we are a damn fine team in the 2nd half. i don't see any problems pulling this one out.
  3. taylor is actually at 2630 rushing yards, with 3 games left this season, i don't think its unrealistic to think he could be at 6700 passing and 2800 yards rushing, (187 passing yards and 57 rushing yards per game.) by seasons end. so a good season 2300 passing and 1200 rushing, would put him at 9000 passing and 4000 rushing. hell, if he finishes this season really strong, he could be at 6800-6900 passing and 2900 rushing by the end of the season, which means a really great, heisman kind of season, like 3100-3200 passing and 1100 rushing, could put him at 10000 passing and 4000 rushing. which is insane!
  4. He better put on some weight then... 6'5" 195? Even at 6'1" 205, Martinez is more of a Tebow-style athlete than Starling is. Don't see the point of using Starling in that role. I'd rather see him in the slot, like we used Bobby Newcombe his freshman year. To be fair, Martinez was only like 175 his sr year of high school, and now he's 205. So it's not unfathomable to see starling putting on 30-35 pounds and becoming a bruising type of runner..
  5. Most former players won't qualify - the Statute of Limitations will limit that. Most Statutes of Limitations are three years - meaning, if the kid didn't file within three years of their likeness first being used by EA, they're barred from doing so. Ed O'bannon is a plaintiff in the case, and his "likeness" was back in the 8-bit days.... bald and not as good as his brother Charles??
  6. I had a guy who looked just like me foo! Except he was 3 inches taller, 30 pounds skinnier and athletic.. Other than that we were identical!!
  7. Analysts must be running out of things to talk about. All this talk about how fairley is as good if not better than suh has to be a joke right?!? Has the college football world gone mad? This is as bad as comparing McCoy to suh...
  8. The fact is Cody stepped up in the pocket, went through his read progression and found that open guy. While Martinez looked at the first option, the froze when that option wasn't open, turned his back downfield and took a sack.. At least Cody is getting to the point where he finds the open guy. It's a step in the right direction
  9. Haha I live in Canada... It would be no safer for him here..
  10. Same here. And I had the best era in my slo pitch league last season.
  11. I'd personally rather sputter in the national championship game than sputter against a 6-6 team that isn't ranked in the top 100 in defense...
  12. I agree. I thought Cody did a very good job of managing the Colorado game, hes much better at that than Martinez.I also think he would have been successful last night running the same game plan. I agree. Cody stepped up in the pocket, looked at more than one receiver and found the open man. He just didn't have the accuracy to hit that open man most of the time. But at least he got to that point. Taylor never got past turning his back downfield when faced with any sort of pressure and taking a sack..
  13. How many times is Cody green gonna get thrown under the bus by this staff?? Just throw him in at his own 1 and see what happens..
