  1. 2 more Ks for Sears, and a fly out to Center, still 0-0
  2. Good stab by Baylor's 1st baseman and then 2Ks by NU ends he top 3rd.
  3. Sears has 5 Ks through 2, but an error and a single to left in the 2nd caused a little bit of heartburn. Still 0-0
  4. Can watch at least the first game without a sub to FloBaseball: https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1eaKbgLZyXnGX Poor call by the umps on a throw to first that wasn't overturned in the 2nd (though it might have been a consistency thing as the same thing supposedly happened to Baylor in their half of the 1st). 0-0 so far in the bottom of the 2nd. Only baserunners have been a couple of walks for Nebraska.
  5. Their entire team was mocking Keisei after every three it seemed.
  6. From this, it sounds like an older guy used to doing it one way at different programs needing to learn the expectations of his new one.
  7. Think the play in OT where we're down or up 1 and Shannon is on Mast where Mast post him up and then misses his hook/layup is similar to the Wilcher foul, but it wasn't called and there was no replay for a better look. The team should have played better coming out of half and done better rebounding, but it's hard to look at that when there are a number of examples where the refs were calling different games on each ends of the court.
  8. Their coach directly addressed this after the game in his press conference (fouls called on NU in the second half). Bottom line, they spent the entire second half on the perimeter and didn't attack enough/play through he post like they did that prevented foul opportunities like in the first half. Then you have a general incompetency of the refs in general.
  9. Poor game by Keisei, but it’s nice to have another example that this team is balanced and anyone can go off on any night.
  10. He had a number of drops of good passes in the first half that looked like his TD throw above (good placement, throws that were just dropped). His pick was pretty bad where the WR kept running a fly and Dylan threw to where the WR would be if they ran a back shoulder to the sticks (but the throw didn't have any pace). Started switching back and forth the the Wrestling Duel, so I didn't see his entire 2nd half performance, but he threw some balls to the end zone that were either uncatchable by anyone (not the best as you want your guy to score a TD, but also placed where it couldn't be intercepted unless by some unreal play by the defender).
  11. Was he mediocre? Or were those teams bad and he pulled them up? One benefit for Nebraska going 5-7 in year one is that he's far enough down the ladder of being wanted and that Rhule has only been here for a year and any programs equivalent that might get their coaches poached are probably not going to have the resources NU has in place to pull him from the school (crossing fingers).
  12. Idahos is Bair isn’t it? Superfast, but plans on going on a mission.
  13. So a confirmation from the Sunday WH about the Dylan commitment, Dylan’s kind of apolitical with college teams. Doesn’t sound like he had/has a favorite growing up, but he felt the pull to be the guy to turn the program around and be THE guy in Lincoln over being another cog in Georgia because of the families past with the school. Dayton, though, bleeds red and has been a fan of Nebraska his whole life. I’d feel pretty confident about Dayton being our ‘26 QB.
  14. I think Dayton has been a huge Husker fan his entire life. Wouldn't be surprised if he follows Dom and Dylan to Lincoln.
  15. Underrated comment. Benhart looked like he had lead feet until this year. He still has issues with speed rushers, but he was much improved everywhere else. Also it appears that the team called plays to protect the OTs more than Whipple did in '22 (chip blocking, keeping more people in to protect).
  16. Tweet was today, but the autograph session was earlier as McMorris plays bball and the thirds had a game today.
  17. Might be old as Bell West was playing in the Heartland Challenge Basketball thing in I think GI against a team from Minnesota.
  18. Saw something that if playing with his brother was a big deal, Pricewell would’ve went to Florida last year.
  19. Holy cow this PSU game is going forever. Neither team can stop fouling and there’s been 1 minute of game time for 15 minutes of real time.
  20. Came into the match knowing that they were better than LIU and have just been lackadaisical in all aspects since about halfway through the second set. Think LIU is playing the best they've played all year (with no prior knowledge of the team they do seem to have some players who have some skill), but the 3rd set has been a major disappointment. Hopefully the set is a wake up that teams aren't going to lay down to be walked over until the Sweet 16 and beyond just because they're ranked first and went until the last weekend of the year before hey lost their first game.
  21. Tommy Hill going from a player used as a gadget on offense and an afterthought overall to locking down a side of the field and getting 4 ints on the year. DL going from a perceived deficiency to the best group on the team. Bryce Benharts improvement and just being healthy so we didn’t have to worry about another back up on the oline.
  22. Shot poorly tonight against a team ready to play and won by 14. Defense stepped it up and Kesei hit a couple 3s to get some space and they didn’t look back. Didn’t allow a point for 9:30 in the second half to close out the game until some garbage time buckets that closed things to the final score. Decent team, but missing Sam could loom large in some games.
  23. Holy cow were the refs bad at spotting the ball. Haarberg got to at least the 3 on the scramble the previous play and they spotted it at the 4. Then again on the last drive where Coleman ran his route to the sticks and they spotted it a yard short.
  24. Something that’s noticeable when they’re running free into the end zone, but both Lloyd and Johnson covered up the ball when they were crossing the goal line. They described why they do that somewhere, but it’s nice to see two freshman follow through.
