  1. are you a moron? cause you keep saying and everyone knows it! so why do you keep repeating it? I am not a moron my good sir. I believe that kind of potty mouth belongs in the shed. The reason I keep repeating it is because you clearly don't comprehend that concept. You go on and on and on and on and on about how he should be fired. Well he wasn't. NO i understand Bo will be here next year. for some reason you don't think i understand that.

  3. What Bo might not get is that we have 5 national championships. With schools that have as many as that there is more pressure. Now schools with 1 or 2 pressure might not be so much. Bo needs to start producing pretty quickly. Right now there are plenty of justified reasons to get rid of Bo. Very few to actually keep him. Maybe he should be grateful that he got his first HC gig at high level school.
  4. don't try to tell that to the sunshine pumpers they aint trying to hear that.
  5. I don't know if it flips, but I worded it to match the exact words of husker_99's claim that half the board thinks "Bo can't get it done" there are two questions because I don't know if his it was a natty or conference championship. If you look at Ulty's link a majority said no but that was just on National Championship. It also depends on when you ask. If it's non fooball season more likely to say yes because they all drink the red koolaid. Ask during the football season and reality sets in. Not enough people are consistent on the program outlook all year long on this board. The question was also asked after a very disappointing loss to Iowa to cap a disappointing season. Of course more people are going to say no. true. But there is never a good time to ask it. But less people are on the forums when football isn't on.
  6. How bout instead of saying 'giving up' need to word it differently. If the basketball team continues to improve over the years and start going to the tourney and if Bo doesn't improve i would think there would be questions about why the football team can't achieve the same success.

  8. We lost Martinez, most of our O-Line, half of our receiving corps, and then lost our second string QB for a few games. That we got to 9 wins last year is a miracle unto itself. not really. weak schedule. now if we had the schedule we had the first two years when we entered the Big Ten then it would have been a miracle. Then that begs the question: how does Bo Pelini always get 9 wins a year? even with the starters or with mostly backups? It doesn't add up. Yes, it must be a big conspiracy! Bo is actually working for the Big 12! wtf is this?

  10. I think it will happen that Bo goes 5-7 here shortly unless he decides to get outside help. This poll sucks as its design to so people will only answer one way. Half this board doesn't think Bo can get it done. So there would be no point in wanting Bo to succeed if you don't think he can get it done. See the problem isn't the boleavers it's the bolievers. if you disagree with them you are wrong. It's fine if you think he will go 5-7. It's fine if you want him fired afterward. It's not fine, as a fan of a team, to hope your team loses so that there is a "good reason" to fire the coach. Whether you think Bo is the guy to get it done or not, you shouldn't wish that on your team. I would rather go 9-4 with Bo as the coach for the rest of my life than to see one losing season. Damn StPaul you have the bar set kinda low. This is what exactly happens when stagnation occurs in a team. So what if a better coach comes along? Are we suppose to just stick with Bo and miss out on opportunities for someone better? It's easier to fire a coach with a losing season than one who doesn't have one. it's more justified. Question: which 1 would you choose: A) Bo goes 9-4 and we win nothing significant forever B) Bo has a losing season get fired and we hire another coach who finally delivers a championship. If you knew of one these options would turn out true no matter what, which one which answer do you choose? Now let's go a step further and say these are wishes? Its all on how you setup the question. What time frame are we talking about on the championship and what kind of championship? Natty? Conference? Does it take this new mythical coach 1 year to win? 10? 20? It doesn't honestly matter because it'd be great if we could guarantee a championship, but you can't. We replaced a 9 win coach before, and got 2 losing seasons for it and ended here in this 9 win purgatory you hate so much. Can Bo get us there? I think he can if he can fix a few small things and the injury Gods don't smite us again. We also had an impatient AD that fired a 9 win coach. I don't care about the 9 wins a season. The point to my question was you can frame a question anyhow you want it to get the results you want. Before last year with the injury bug we were still spinning our wheels. Sure you can say even a hurt Martinez would have done a much better job and gotten us to the conference championship. But would we have won it? Hard to say. At this point in Bo's HC stage he has to start winning conference championships.
  11. Ahem.......? Talk about avoiding the question........ i've already gave you my answer. like it or shut up.

I never want my team to lose i know you would avoid trying to answer. the fact is you don't want to make hard decisions. We've already had two losing seasons. I understand losing sucks and you don't want it to happen it. are you a fan of any sports team that has had losing seasons? I bet you are they happen to every team no matter what. But then when they do something really good and have an excellent season you cherish it more cause of the pain of losing. Watching Bo is like watching a rerun. It gets old after awhile. We beat McNeese state it's not a big deal. We lose to Miami well kinda expected it and if we beat Miami it does gain my interest but there is still more to prove until a complete season is put together. Contrary to popular belief, i don't hate Bo. I do want Bo to succeed but i see a man who can't put it together.
  13. Because Bo is pretty good at coachspeak. Just because he says it doesn't mean it will translate to the field.

I Set the poll up that way to specifically see if there was actually anybody here who would wish that the team loses in the hopes Bo would get fired. Thus far 4 people actually hate Bo enough they will enjoy losses this year. How is that fandom? Whether your a liever or a leaver were all Husker fans, well except maybe 4 of us. Edit: The more I think about it of the 4, we know husker_99 would give up a year. The other 3 are probably either fans of other teams or just voted that way to be funny/ironic. Guess that means 99 is the only fan here who actually will cheer if we lose. .............you're the man............ see there you go can saying i hate Bo. I don't hate Bo. I just don't think Bo can get it done.

  17. Probably to 9-4. Probably be irrelevant. Looking like turn into MInnesota. Go back to pre-1970s. Minnesota won several national championships pre-1970s.... But we didn't! I meant us. Since those times championships Minnesota has largely been irrelevant.

  19. lol what? So i guess all those owners who intentionally lose games to get into better position hate their own teams they own right? Owners like money more than their team. You have no investment in Husker Football other than your free time. Judging by your comments today I think its a bad investment on your part. Some owners do. But it's also a strategy. It's a strategy because an NBA owner can get a primo draft pick if the team tanks, and one star player can turn an NBA team into a contender. How many draft picks do we get if NU football has a losing season? Does that put us in better position to get the top recruits? It helps in a way that the head coach can't sit around and not do anything. If he wanted to keep his job he would look at the other coaches and see where they underperformed. Usually they get fired and the HC goes out and gets a replacement with experience. The main problem with Bo's staff is experience. A staff that has experience and been around other good programs know how to get the top recruits and what they need for their system.

So your strategy is hope we have a losing season in hopes we can hire a better coach? Your okay with a potential Callahan size setback of a season if it means Bo goes? What if Bo succeeeds? Will you be content with him as coach? I want Bo to do better and wouldn't have a problem with as coach! 6 years and not much to show. I think too many people are afraid of life without Bo. I am not.
