I have very little confidence in this team in midweek games at this point.

I'm excited to rewatch with subtitles since Nolan insists on having the weirdest sound mixing in his theater experience and I don't have great hearing so I end up not being able to make out so much of the film.
I will say, as much as I still enjoyed it and am excited to rewatch and engage more fully, it felt like such a waste in the IMAX 70MM format. I get that Nolan *can* and thus he will, and I think it's great that Universal. (and before them Warner Bros) were smart enough to let him tell his own stories, but that format should really be reserved for high spectacle films, and Oppenheimer is just *not* that.
It has some high spectacle shots, but yea, it's much more of a character-driven film than probably needs to be in IMAX format.

Oppenhemier: really good!
Barbie: lots of fun!

Just hire Frank Solich so we can fully get rid of the curse.

One thing about it - Nebraska, athletically, is a better place now than what it was a few years ago. No major coach challenges - such as firing and hiring, a building program, etc. So I think the job would be an attractive spot for someone wanting to move up but not move into a crisis situation - unless of course, the political side is unbearable.
I kind of think that yesterday indicated that the political side might be a bit unbearable.

Seems old. Looking for an AD, not a US President
Legit got a laugh out of me.
Bruce would be great as a temporary AD; at least until we can find someone more permanent.

Ok….that can be frustrating. But, that’s a temporary problem. This is deeper than that.
It's a temporary problem that is indicitive of a deeper one. The job has been open for 7 months, with little-to-no movement to fill it.

Nebraska voters need to take a deep introspection of their opinions on who to vote for locally.
This 1000%.

Trev alludes to a the lack of a President and lack of urgency to find one at Nebraska in an On3 interview.

Hopefully our local beat writers are up to the challenge.
Trev's not beholdened to anyone at the university anymore; if it's truly something that bothered him enough to leave, and if he cares as much for the university as people think he does, then maybe he needs to be the one up to the challenge.

Agreed not a money thing...he was already top 10 nationally.
If he is aware of issues higher up, and has still been this successful, but chooses to leave instead of workingthe fix, I will lose respect for him.
He may not have the power to assist in fixing what is broken, nor have the trust in the people that do.

Who do you like?
Bruce Rasmussen until the leadership at UNL gets figured out.
Then, maybe Ed Stewart? John Cook gets a look when he's ready to be done with the volleyball team.

OK...so who is the problem?
That's the $64,000 question, but I'm guessing there's a few Rs and Ds behind their names.

He’s gotta be 70 right?
73. Let him do it for a year or two until someone more permanent can be found.
For reference sake: TO was 70 when he was hired as AD in 2007.

A very interesting name, if temporary, floated on Twitter, if this should happen: Bruce Rasmussen.

That is the only thing that makes sense. Big cash grab prior to retiring.

I'm almost fully convinced that, if this is actually happening, it's political in nature.

In any case of a vacancy, be on the lookout for Dr. Susan Elza's name as a potential replacement.

Something is broken in the University system in Nebraska, and (not to get derailed into P/R territory), I'm not unconvinced it isn't political in nature.

There were also the rumors that Michael Jordan's dad was killed as payback for Michael's gambling debts. I used to accept that as fact, although I've seen subsequent reporting that strongly discounts it.
I don't know if you can tarnish Jordan's career, or if we're even looking the other way. The dude is a competition junkie, and there are tons of anecdotes from golf courses, casinos, and informal practices of Jordan making high stakes bets with anyone who will take them. It's not exactly an admirable quality, but it does explain his incredible in-game performances, and that's what he's remembered for.
Not sure if people really looked the other way on Jordan's Hall of Fame induction speech, where he went off on some bitter and unnecessary flexes on anyone who ever doubted him. I recall the reaction as mostly: Whoa. That's what's on your mind when you're receiving the game's highest honor?
Oh yea, if anything about Jordan's post-career ventures has proven, it's that he's a legitimate a$$h@!e who can't let any slight go, no matter how imagined or insignificant. It's part of what makes him the GOAT.

My dad absolutely loved that show. So much so that when I was visiting him toward the end, he wouldn't turn it off. That show HAD to be on the whole time I was there. Dad was quirky.
I gave it an honest try, but the only character I came close to enjoying by the end was Rip, and he's objectively not a good human being.
