  1. So there would be actual expectations on the program?
  2. I wouldn't trust Sean Callahan to sell me a taco. It'd be the best and worst taco you ever had Best going in, worst coming out? Also, you can only get them at Copple Chevrolet.
  3. Gottfried would be an epic homerun hire for NU Agree completely, if Gottrfired wants the job that might also influence on whether we fire or keep miles. If he doesn't want it, keep Tim for an extra year and see what happens.4 years and he's like 20 games under 500 in league play. No excuse for that. None. Yea definitely no excuses for poor conference play. Add in the fact no wins vs Michigan or Creighton at all since Miles came here. Mark G.would take this job if we pay up for him. Outside of him getting Craig Smith would be going right back where we are now, up and comers that hopefully pan out. Although Craig would do a better job here I don't think he would get us to the top of the conference, but he may get us that tourney win that we still need. Only mid major coach I want is Archie Miller. He would recruit well here and beat the upper teams and be competitive in big time games. I hadn't thought about Gottfried; that would be a great get. I'm in favor of interviewing Smith, but I highly doubt we could pull Archie Miller away; he's in line for a top tier job should he want to leave Dayton.
  4. Dooley would be a good get if we can pry him from Dunk City. I wouldn't mind taking a look at Craig Smith, either.

  6. Guys, I've found a way we can make sure that POB doesn't transfer: http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/82750-miles-needs-a-quarterback/
  7. Alternate title: "Miles needs a Middle Reliever".
  8. Uh, no wonder he's got a losing record; he's not even coaching the right sport.
  9. He's lost "key assistants" virtually every year, though.
  10. If Lee wins, POB will transfer to a JuCo in Cali for the year.
  11. So, Jeff Sessions is going to jail, right?
  12. Fun fact: Miles has the worst winning percentage among the last 6 Nebrasketball coaches, going all the way back to Jerry Bush in the 1950s: Joe Cipriano: .564 Moe Iba: .599 Danny Nee: .572 Barry Collier: .494 Doc Sadler: .532 Tim Miles: .481
  13. Are you drinking at 1:30 on a Thursday?
  14. I'm not entirely in disagreement with you.
  15. Probably, but after having an honest competition next season.
  16. Same. I think we end up with Lee for 2 seasons, then in 2019, you have RsJr POB vs RsSo Gebbia battle for starter. If Lee is a 2 year starter, POB won't be here.
  17. If they are truly equal at the start of fall camp, then go with POB.
  18. I agree. If we are recruiting the position at a high level, transfers are not a question of if, but when. So far the staff seems to have a great ability to recruit the QB spot and got the Juco walk on. The position even with a transfer is shaping up nicely. That's a good point; I'm interested in seeing what Bunch can bring to the table.
  19. Unlikely, and he'd be a bit crazy to stay. If he has the skill Reilly says he has, he could start in a lot of places. No reason to spend his career on the bench at Nebraska. It would depend if/when he left though, right? Tanner has 2 years, so 2019 would be either POB (RsJr.) or Gebbia (RsSo). If POB were to transfer after the during/after the fall season, I think he's sitting until 2019 anyway. I'm a big believer in Gebbia; I would imagine that if POB can't beat out Lee, he won't beat out Tristan. I think you must be smokin the chronic Gebbia is a better overall prospect. POB has a better knowledge of the playbook and more size, but Gebbia can acquire those with time, and he has the better arm of the two.
  20. They're still only Sophomores; they've got some time to make a contribution. It is surprising to see Bootle and Joseph over them, though.
  21. If Lee declares for the draft after this year, chances are that we'll have had a VERY good year, team-wise. Regardless, in 2 years, I think we'll only have 1 of the 3 on campus.

  23. My guess is yes....If not...so be it. Next man up. But, I'm sure the narrative will be...OMG....ROSTER MISMANAGEMENT!!!! I would hope that anyone that actually understands the trends regarding Division 1 QBs wouldn't say that; it's much, much more common to have QB transfers nowadays that ever before.
