  1. I'm just glad he's in the league. Worried about the run blocking of the Lions though. Will make those creases harder to find. Maybe they'll make some moves to upgrade that line. Can't wait to watch him.
  2. Chicago giving Jim Kelly much love. Awesome.

      That was awesome

It was. I think Kelly was tearing up too.

  3. Yeah I'm a little stupified at this point. Randy just got interviewed by Suzy Kolber and flat out said 'but I know I have some problems'. This is almost turning into a soap opera. He seems like a good kid.
  4. It's a sad deal because as he said it definitely sounded like he was coming clean. If you were cool you'd have to give him credit for that but in the end the NFL is still run by suits. For me it's great that it seems as if he has a chip on his shoulder now. Let's see if he can turn it up a notch and show what he's really capable of. Hopefully that means beefing up and making some plays and showing a team and his fans that he can make it in the NFL.
  5. Well this might change his position on someone's board. NFL Denies La'el Collins' Request to Remove Name From Draft Amid Murder Investigation
  6. ^ Great article. I totally agree. The NFL waaay over analyzes everything imo. College too. Combines, wonderlic tests, umteen scouts, umteen coaching staffs with 30 coaches all sitting in a room and that's just a few things. Things have definitely changed and a lot of it I see as a hindrance more than actually being beneficial to a team. It's gotten ridiculous.
  7. I can't imagine Mariota being successful unless he ends up in Philly. That's the one thing about QB's in the NFL. Sometimes they take years to actually even come close to living up to their potential or they simply just never pan out. So many factors when it comes to making it especially at that position in the NFL. He was awesome in college obv. I loved the low turnover ratio more than anything about him. When there was talk of the Bears trying to trade up I wasn't necessarily stoked though. As much crap as Jameis gets rep wise he still seems like more of a prototypical future NFL QB to me. We'll see.
  8. Scott's story is indeed a sad one. A running back with one of the nation's premier college football teams one minute and then mental illness reared it's ugly head the next and changed his and a lot of other people's lives forever. RIP Scott Baldwin.
  9. The Canes ended up going 6-7 last year with one of those losses coming from us of course. We won by 10. Kaaya will be back and he ended up having a pretty good year last year so they have that going for them. So hard to know how this game turns out right now.
  10. Crawford (and Duncan Keith) to the rescue tonight. What a game. Hawks win! Move on to 2nd round. Still feel there defense needs to step it up a notch. Can't really blame Darling on a few of those goals. Agree with coach Q's decision to go with the Crow nonetheless.
  11. Just saw the ESPN 30 for 30 short The Irrelevant Giant. The story of John Tuggle. Wow. Powerful. RIP.
  12. He'd be the best quarterback on their roster. That statement is ridic.
  13. Hawks win! Darling has been the man. Was never huge on Crawford so hopefully barring any horrible performances I see the Hawks sticking with him.
  14. I'm happy for both of them too. I will be pulling for Liberty.
  15. Naw. Gateway to bike theft. Ha! Nice! I don't remember a lot of pot in the dorms but there sure could have been. I do remember that on Fridays you could basically hear everyone backpack making clanging sounds while filled with beer cans and bottles as they brought in the fun-juice. I agree. Drinking has always gone hand in hand with college for some of us anyway. I think pot use has always been there too but maybe is a little more prevalent now. I'm in my 40's though so I could be wrong on the pot thing since it's been a little bit since I went to school.
  16. The closest to a true Scarface/Blow vibe that a documentary could probably achieve. Really good so far.
