Kind of my feelings but still a good topic for discussion at the same time.

The "continuing story" novels by K.W. Jeter were crap. I would hope any movie sequel would ignore their existence. So far nothing has come out indicating that BR2 will be based on Jeter's books which I remember were liked by some and met with lukewarm feelings by others. I loved the murkiness of the first movie. I'm never confident in any sequel regardless of genre so if anything maybe this movie could possibly be a decent sequel since my bar is always low for sequels regardless lol. Still kind of intriguing.

^ If he's your teams best rusher you would. Wiscy runs a true 3-4. If I'm not mistaken so does Bama and FSU just to name a few. It will be interesting to see how these guys particularly the linebackers respond to this new coaching staff. They need to play better. If not switching to a 3-4 is going to be rough. Then again maybe with a new coaching staff a 3-4 could be just the thing they need. Makes me kind of nervous thinking about it.

It most certainly makes a difference who the coach is. The only problem is that this discussion now and in the past has only reflected upon 2 coaches. Bo Pelini and of course our new coach. I want to be optimistic but at the same time I'm not going to bullsh$! around when it comes to Husker fb. I get trying to look on the bright side of things but for me I look at the reality. We just handed the keys of Husker nation over to someone who wasn't even on other schools radar and then suddenly in the brink of just a few days after being contacted is our new head coach. A lot of people don't see this as an upgrade at all. Not even close. You're going to have a divided fan base with that kind of hire. I seriously think all the people who were in love with Bo Pelini before and I'm talking more about this board are now the one's who are the total optimists now when it comes to Riley. I'm still just shaking my head at that and the whole Mike Riley hiring but all I can do is sit back and watch. I'll always be a Husker fan but that doesn't mean I have to be a fan of the coach or their decisions too.

Cardale Jones blew my mind in the Big 10 Championship game. I was not expecting him to play like that. I think Creed posted on the page before that he doesn't see him having that kind of game again. I'm actually rooting for the Buckeyes and for the Big 10 too but if Jones can play at least decently in that game you never know. The Buckeyes got better all season long after that VT loss and then they busted out (the 3rd stringer) Cardale Jones? Are you serious?!!!

Yeah that's why I voted Frost. He was the best available and most realistic to me.

Coaching can help, but TA better learn to throw with more accuracy. I think it's his decision making skills. Football instinct. The problem is how do you teach someone that? You can't really. He has a big arm and I definitely like that about him. He's actually this years version of Martinez to me because Martinez once in the open field had straight out speed to burn but his passing was obviously suspect. He had obvious positives about him but came with some bad tendencies. Armstrong has a rifle and can run decently also but as we've seen sometimes the ball goes into the wrong hands too much or he just misses his target all together so in the end he's turning the ball over to much almost like Martinez did. He had the chance to improve in season 2. He made some amazing throws and then made some really horrible ones and he had some fumble issues. Throw a new coach and scheme at him and it could either be a blessing or a curse. Stanton looks like a physical specimen just standing on the sidelines. I just want to see what he can do.

Definitely not sold either. I think he was hired for his 'personality' more than anything which is one way to address one issue. Obviously Bo wasn't fired just because he 'didn't win the games he was supposed to' as Eichorst said in the press conference. I'll watch but my enthusiasm while maybe slightly more than what it would have been with Bo going into next season isn't much higher. Take Armstrong off the field. That would be a start and get me slightly more excited for next year. He did an interview with the Big10 Network and they asked him 'Why Nebraska, why now?' and after trying he literally couldn't come up with the words to even answer the question. I just shook my head.
