  1. And they have been blitzing the opposite side of our zone read straight to the qb
  2. Why do we continue to line the dl 1-2 yards off the los? It still doesn't work
  3. Does anyone on the staff notice when we motion a we into the backfield they blitz the olb from the side the motion is heading
  4. you got to wonder why........... I really do wonder why. Why can't an athlete like that return kicks and punts? Best of luck to him. Hope he gets a shot in the league.
  5. I can't believe he gave DS a contract extension this year. That decision equates the the monumental flub of giving BC an extension before his final year.
  6. The only schools that are changing their uniforms are those that have never won anything and are trying to attract attention to the school. The schools with tradition, LSU, Bama, MU, USC, OU, NU, etc.) aren't selling themselves out for a few extra bucks in the athletic coffers.
  7. If we stick our heads in the sand we won't have to see all the areas that need improving. We can continue to win 9 games a year and get blown out by decent teams and show poorly on the national stage.
  8. Feels a lot like the solich years. 9 wins, but uninspiring, blowout losses.
  9. That's a productive, value-added post. Keep it up
  10. Martinez (and the whole team for that matter) don't run the option "downhill." Nearly every time we ran the option the play went backwards. Watch when we ran the option in the 90's and the line surge allowed the qb to run" downhill before ever having to make a decision to pitch or keep.
  11. The defense didn't play THAT bad....Michigan was givin good field position a few times and they had so many shots at us cause our offense couldn't stay on the damn field! Our Defense was bad. Despite the offense's ineptitude, the Defense couldn't get its self off the field. Look at Michigan's drive chart. Two of the 3 play drives were a result of the end of the half. The 1 play drive resulted in a touchdown. We only made them to punt 4 times. Couple that with the fact that Mich was 8-18 on 3rd down conversions and 1-1 on 4th down. The D couldn't make a play when it had to. 15:00 1 01:38 MICH 32 3 1 Punt 12:18 1 04:01 MICH 20 8 79 Passing Touchdown 06:23 1 04:20 MICH 45 9 30 Field Goal Good 01:17 1 02:36 MICH 20 5 31 Interception 12:12 2 06:07 MICH 21 12 74 Rushing Touchdown 03:21 2 01:30 MICH 11 3 7 Punt 01:18 2 01:18 MICH 43 3 6 End of Half 14:52 3 03:37 MICH 33 7 33 Rushing Touchdown 08:32 3 03:29 MICH 50 8 56 Rushing Touchdown 04:04 3 01:30 MICH 4 3 5 Punt 00:53 3 05:39 MICH 24 10 86 Passing Touchdown 10:07 4 01:38 MICH 22 3 -3 Field Goal Missed 07:41 4 00:08 MICH 31 1 31 Rushing Touchdown 06:26 4 02:06 MICH 34 3 -10 Punt 01:44 4 01:44 MICH 8 3 -3 End of Half Here is the Link to the drive chart. 12. So basically if a guy is out of sight we should just assume he's injured. At this rate 1/2 the team seems to be injured! Good GOD! What happened to Turner's injury ? No I don't think you assume he's injured. However, you assume that the coaches are not playing guys on purpose, and they are mismanaging. Is it fair to assume either direction? No. What's fair is admitting we don't know everything that goes on with the football program. But I think it is fair to assume that if a couple of the top backup guards are injured, the coaching staff would take an able body to back up the only two guards that make the trip. God forebid one of the starting guards gets rolled up on and tears a knee or breaks a leg.
  13. Talked with a friend on OPD, who thought that the PA State Police were going to send in about 200 extra troopers for the game. 200 xtra to control 110k people. Sounds a bit short. I wonder if the administrations have considered playing the game without a crowd. I don't know if this has ever happened before, but only allow necessary personnel into the stadium for the game. Then have police escorts to and fro the airport.
  14. No we should not boycott the game and give PSU the benefit of a forfeit. We had nothing to do with this situation. If anything, PSU should forfeit. If there are security concerns then PSU shall take the appropriate measures to secure the facility.
  15. You need to tell this to the NFL Corporate office
  16. He is probably day to day, he'll be good to go.................6 weeks later....
  17. A bobbled snap, a broken play where Martinez gets his Sh!t rocked because someone screwed up. I agree w/ the OP that both Martinez and Rex should have been removed a early. Especially after we got the ball back around the 4 minute mark. Of course many on this board will bash him for having an opinion contrary to popular opinion. But our team looked beat up after the game. Yoshi should have been pulled early and give Moore some extra time. You've got to protect players for the long season and prepare players for future years. It is all part of building a program.
  18. The refs were very poor this game. To avoid copyright infringement issues, I have attached links to pictures of multiple instances that were not called.
