  1. The pipeline is a comin back
  2. Tyler Moore, Ryne Reeves, Dylan Admire, Ryan Klachko........ I wonder what Aaron Green thinks about this O-Line class so far?
  3. If Green really has not improved over last season, as seemingly is the case --- you saw him --- then unless the Fall is a time of MASSIVE, MASSIVE, HUGE improvement, it is time to consider a position switch for Cody. If he is still reckless and clueless then (in fall) he still is characterized by bad decisions then I'd say TE or, well.... not sure where to put him... but QB, no. I never did understand the Green hype. He really was not that big a recruit. Others had him as an athlete and not a QB and very few looked at him other than us. How is it that some are inclined to think that Green was a big national recruit. he was solid, but not big. he may pan out... but unless things really change, it is unlikely that he'll be a Qb of note for NU. Probably not even a QB at all. he was a 4 rivals 250 prospect with offers from boston college, texas a&m, texas tech, houston, miss st, baylor, and okie state. So according to rivals he was #173 on the rivals 250. Thats a pretty solid recruit. gotta agree with robsker on this one, Green was our biggest recruit two years ago but hell both carnes and turner appear to be better qb prospects. from everything im hearing i would agree with the OP that martinez will be #2 by the time the season starts.... Indeed. His offers were from boston college, texas a&m, texas tech, houston, miss st, baylor, and okie state. Where was texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, USC, Florida, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida State, Penn State, Oklahoma, ---- big time recruits generate interest (and offers) from some, most, or all of these. So... Green was a solid but not a major recruit. And, I could be mistaken here, but I am under the impression that several (at least) of those who did offer him had him as an athlete with the notion that he might not end up a QB (or even begin as one). This is not to take anything away from the young man --- it is however to take away the unrealistic expectations. Based on all first hand reports up to this point, Green does not appear to be a D1-ready QB. Maybe in a few years. But as of now, there is no reason to think that he can be a viable QB by Fall. Who knows, I might be surprised some day... but right now nothing would suggest that he'll contribute next year at QB. The number of offers or who offered still doesnt take away the fact that rivals saw him as the 173rd best prospect in the country, which is pretty good. You were right he didnt have the Texas or Alabama or Florida but those also dont recruit like nebraska. Those schools offer maybe 50 kids a year, and thats a big maybe. You were right he wasnt a five star gotta have him prospect but he also asnt a question mark offer. Texas A&M offered him as a quarterback, and so did houston ond baylor.

  5. Hankerson isnt even the best WR on the hurricanes, Aldarius Johnson is a better WR. And Hankerson isn't even in the top ten on that list.
  6. Yes, his entire family also visited UM too. But that's because UM and NU are his Top 2 favorites at the moment. It hard for me to imagine Rich Rod being a family oriented kind of guy....I dont know why. Well I can't judge other schools but put it this way, I like the fact that all of our recruits and their families will have a chance to meet Tom Osborne. You couldn't ask for anyone better to meet the parents than T.O. agree, talk about a father figure.

  8. IS THAT A MISPRINT LOL In my opinion I think it'll come down to us and Michigan. Kevin and his parents walked out of Michigan really impressed and now Kevin wants more information about Michigan. I think we'll have an upper hand with Kevin because he'll visit Nebraska last and he'll actually get to see a full house at a scrimmage for the Red/White game. Seeing Nebraska last will leave a last impression for Mr. Williams and his family to the point that they won't even think about Michigan after they leave Lincoln. Not a misprint. He competes in the 2nd largest division in Ohio, even though his football team isn't very good (3-7). Don't forget that Kevin will also get to meet his idol, Suh. Since they're planning a special announcement for Suh that day, can you imagine the reaction the recruits will have once the whole stadium erupts in their SUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH chant? Needless to say having Suh there at the game should help our recruiting that day along with our 70k + fans. Kevin, Jalen Grimble, Isiah Norton, Quincey Russell. Those kids are gonna see what defensive line coaching is all about. Suh being at the game is just the icing on the cake for a good recruting weekend.
  9. Where is Chase Rome's pic in your future collage?! Talk about the future... he's going to be GOOD. You are right, he fits in there nicely.

  11. Since I was only 5 at the time I dont remember that season, but since we are reminiscing this is my favorite season....besides 2009 Alot of talent on that team.

    Rodney Coe

Player: Rodney Coe Hometown: Edwardsville, IL School: Edwardsville HS Position: RB Height: 6'4" Weight: 230 40 time: 4.54 Visit Date: Scholarships: Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas St., Michigan St., Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Wisconsin Rivals: Scout: ESPN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOTMc92OX7A Some good offers, but if we can get the offense rolling this season and show these big time running backs that we care committed to run the ball could spark some interest.
  13. I dunno how I feel about this kid... I know all 18 year olds get caught up in the glamorous recruiting stuff, but he seems more immature than some to me. He loved Cal, he loved Miami... so far everything he loves is coastline, warm weather. Based on some of the things he has said... this is just speculation... but I'm not sure if Nebraska is going to have what he is looking for if he wants a beach, warm weather, and hot babes. And I'm not sure if he is what Nebraska will want either if those things are more important to him than football or team or hard work ethic... just sayin. He seems like one of the many kids who wants coastal location. I dont disagree with the kid wanting hot babes, beaches, and warm weather.....if he wants to be the best linebacker he can be he might not want to go to Cal or any other Pac 10 team besides maybe USC. Miami puts out good linebackers, but if he wants the best defensive coaching he might want to deal with some cold weather, but nebraska does have beaches....lanoma, capital beach, and UNL does have some pretty hot chicks as well.
  14. big red report has a teaser about him, and he is listed with an offer from Nebraska. At 6'3 240 lbs, he looks like the brusier we are looking for.
  15. B/c he has been high on us for a long time. I've yet to read anything about Williams giving high praise to any other school but Nebraska and Michigan. I'll give an update from the article when I get home from work this evening. skerchicagio you the man!
  16. New rivals teaser, sounds like he is nearing a decision in the next month, well April 17th is coming up fast.
  17. I think they actually tried it in the 2nd quarter, and Nate Hybl was wide open and slipped. Then we tried it in the 4th quarter.

    Whos Next?

I hope your right, he could open the "flood gates" I hope we get a recruit sooner than 3-4 months.... Hopefully by April 17th.
  19. Not my favorite Husker team of all time, BUT this game was absolutely the best I've ever attended. Sitting in the north endzone, we all saw Crouch break free on black 41 flash reverse & when he caught Stuntz' pass for the go-ahead TD, I experienced what every Husker fan dreams of in a game like that - crowd surfing - and it stands as one of the crowning moments of my life :spooners I was in the north endzone too, I was with my Dad and after crouch scored I have never experienced anything like that in my life. As a 10 year old I didnt really pay much attention before that moment. Now its a way of life.

I dont know who would be the bigger recruitng win, him or nobler?
  23. Whats your guys guess on our next commit? I think Kevin Williams because he loves our staff, will be here for the spring game, loves Suh, and he will be blown away by our Spring Game atmosphere.
  24. Cant wait for e-mart to decapitate someone, I'm riding the bandwagon all the way home.
