best QB to ever run the option at NU
PasstheDamnBallGuy replied to beorach's topic in Husker Football
I dont think he belongs on this list overall, but Armstrong had a really strong pitch game, that was probably underutilized by both staffs. Maybe it just seemed better because of how lacking we were in that are for a long time, but I felt really confident in him making a play once out in space running the option. His fake pitch specifically was one of the best I think. Now his read option decision making was another story. -
Havent heard much on this. Last i remember he seemed to be leaning towards wanting to play TE.

Voted A&M because I was there and the end was amazing. Although in reality we played terrible most of that game and I realized how far we had sank at that point as a team. I guess I went to Michigan and that one was pretty awesome too(i wish we played some games in Texas still). With all the injuries we had that year, finishing the season off strong gave me hope we were on our way back.

B1G Returning to Eight Conference Games per Year?
PasstheDamnBallGuy replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
I have to disagree with him saying SOS wasnt a problem for the B1G last year. Unless he is taking a specific swipe at the CFP committee, Wiscy had the same or better record as every other team in the playoffs. -
JUCO LB Lakia Henry [Mississippi - Signed LOI]

Seems like a lot of parallels to Honas going on here. If Will starts and shows out this year that gives the coaching staff a perfect example to show this guy. -

My favorite player and one of the greatest songs of all time. -
Huskers to Hire Director of Player Personnel from Tennessee
PasstheDamnBallGuy replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
I wonder if people on the 'Bama boards are questioning this hire. -
Tbf elite 11 is kind of a joke and Dilfer seems like a doofus.

Huskers looking to add grad transfer at QB?
PasstheDamnBallGuy replied to jsneb83's topic in Husker Football
They had an offensive coordinator that could do just that, and they fired him after one year. The administration there is a total joke right now. So happy it seems like we finally fixed that problem here. -

Yeah i like these ones too. The cloth type material they are puting on a lot of shoes now just looks great and im down with the gold/money motif. What you suggested would be so damn cool. I dont even play anything anymore and i would buy a pair of those.

Based on watching him play. When he was playing well I can see an NFL lineman. Do you expect me to get some all 22 and break down tape for you or are you fine with watching a single game against and calling him done? Not everyone is gonna be 100% driven to play for a bad coaching staff during a 4-8 season for free, and he was certainly not the only one phoning it in last year. Yes he will have to work hard in the NFL, but people are motivated in different ways. I also think NFL combine number for Lineman are pretty silly. I dont care how fast a lineman can run 40 yards, and I barely care how much they can push upwards while laying on their back.

No I very much get the point you are trying to make. It's always telling when someone calls out excuses without disputing them. No one is arguing about his work ethic, but if anyone in this group has a chance to make an NFL roster it is him.

QB John Rhys Plumlee [Mississippi - Signed LOI]
PasstheDamnBallGuy replied to Mavric's topic in 2019 Profiles
Wow his tape looks like he would be a stud in this offense. I would be pretty happy with this kid or Gipson. -
You mean in that single game where he still was not fully healthy with piss poor coaching he got beat by a player that had 13 sacks on the season and then got drafted and started on the team that won the NFL championship. Crazy!

SIGNED ILB Garrett Snodgrass [Nebraska - Signed LOI]

Assuming that "agility" test was a 20 yd shuttle thats an amazing time for his size. -
A bit of a tangent from this thread but Baker going first has to be a good sign for Nebraska putting QBs into the NFL from this system.

It could be worse. Im sure some of the kids are into country.

Huskers Interested in Suspended Florida Transfer
PasstheDamnBallGuy replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
Not the ideal way you want to get a player, but man could we use some players at tackle. -
It was in an interview. Im sure he doesnt sit around all day ruminating on past staffs and administrations. Is there any room at this point to question the focus of this staff?! Frost gets to have a small beef with fans if he wants also. He knows first hand that our overwhelming passion isnt always milk and honey. Winning will put all this editorial nonsense to bed and give the media something better to talk about hopefully.

Why not just one up them and use something from Kill 'Em All or Ride the lightning. I remember when NCAAF let you put in your own stadium sounds I replaced the 3rd down defense music with motor breath, but thats maybe a little too fast for a walk. For whom the bell tolls or seek and destroy would work well and have a good deal of mass appeal. There are have been so many good suggestions in this thread. Whoever said Rammstein, I would be down for so many of their songs, but yeah would probably have to be instrumental.
-
Ok, lets really piss some people off. Just do the instrumental version and no one would even what it was tbh. The drums remind me of a very simple version of drum corps so I think it would fit the college atmosphere. Obviously a pipe dream, but the team would get hype for this guaranteed.

The throws to the sideline were not the issue with Riley's/Lang's offense. They were executed poorly and read incorrectly. I dont know what they were teaching Lee to read on those RPOs but he seemed to get it wrong more often than not. Frost has shown that he knows how to get players to execute on those plays and can run them when we have an actual advantage.

What do you mean by this? The VA has not approved or studied marijuana in any form as far as I'm aware. And yes they do have insanely high suicide rates, partly because of their archaic stance on drugs. Their stuborness and ignorance cost so many lives. You keep talking about studies, but the problem is that the government is only barely beginning to allow marijuana to be studied and still its a huge hassle because its still schedule 1. If you want anecdotal evidence then just look around you. Half the country is using it and functioning just fine. Also just because someone is relying on a drug doesn't immediately mean that its terrible and is ruining their life. I'd like to see how this country functioned if they outlawed caffeine for 1 month. Everyone has things they use to cope. Some people just have the unfortunate circumstance of relying on something that is caught up in political BS and misinformation.
