  1. Just my opinion. I think he could be a hell of a middle linebacker.
  2. The crapshoot of recruiting... That's very interesting and I appreciate that input. This is something that happens often with HS players. He shows enough where he could be a solid D1 receiver physically. As we know, mentality is another animal. What I like about Decoldest is how we moves, especially with the ball in his hands. He moves like he is looking for the end zone.
  3. I do not think he is a silent commit, and my gut tells me that things waned a bit soon after. If he was pressed to decide today, he comes to Nebraska but I do not think he actually wants to be there, and he will drag it out to find a place he likes more to justify telling Mickey no. That's my gut feeling. I think he is going to turn every rock to stay in the south.
  4. Man, I really like Hartzog too. I think Nebraska went in a stole a dude.
  5. Damn, he certainly looks the part. Maybe I have to reconsider haha. After watching his tape, my only concern is that he had free releases on everything. I would equate that to RB's in HS who have a great O-line and all you see is 80 yard runs.
  6. Rumblings that this has started bad already. Makes you think this is a locker room issue. Let me walk this back just a bit. Nothing is out there floating in terms of specifics, and obviously no confirmation. It could be nothing. My bad guys.
  7. Decoldest Crawford. A lot of people are going with Bonner and I don't see it yet for him. Decoldest is one of the more ready made WRs Nebraska has signed in a while. He reminds me of Stanley Morgan jr but with a little more physical upside, and better separation skills.
  8. They're going to make room for a transfer. I think you're right and my only pushback would be that Mickey has the leverage. He will find another 4 star and get him if he feels you're wasting time.
  9. I do not think Nebraska is going to get Phil, however this is the game you play if he decides to transfer a year or two down the road.
  10. Look for Nebraska to shake this recruitment up a bit. Firmly believe once he leaves, Nebraska will be one of his favorites.
  11. My prediction is that this one shuts down sunday or monday morning for Big Red. This might be the commit that gets a flurry going.
  12. Trending to Nebraska, and he doesn't have until December to make a decision. LSU is moving on and Arkansas doesn't have Mickey. Something should happen sooner than later.
  13. Rumblings suggest he committed and that there are a few other big names who did too or are on the cusp. 4.5 on Nebraska's WR takes for this cycle. Omar and Oliver are for sure leaving after this year and the hope is Trey breaks out and goes pro so that would be three right off the bat. Two will be processed out, and that leaves for 4-5 guys coming in to play.
  14. Things are trending towards Nebraska right now. A crystal ball has been put in by Bruntz, and says he likes what he's hearing. Nebraska apparently put together the best plan for him.
  15. My comment was pretty harsh, and I don't want to reduce the young men to tackling dummies. I apologize for that statement. Mickey is going to bring a lot of guys in, and some will be able to play right away. That is going to put a ton of pressure on the WRs who remain in that room after next year. He doesn't have time for development projects and I think he earns it by who he signs.
  16. Jones Jr and Hardy will be processed out next year. They're tackling dummies until then.
  17. Do not forget about Brody Belt, no matter how much you want to. You will be pleasantly surprised.
  18. This list is about as accurate as it could be. I'd go Lynn, Stepp, and Malcom first. Then Conn and Johnson. Believe it or not, Lynum is progressing very well from a physical standpoint and Fish loves having him.
  19. If we are talking in terms of QB, the data suggests that the back up is guaranteed to start a few games. Casey is also a 1 year addition because if he has the year he wants, he is bolting for the pros. Chubba has better tools and build than Logan but experience trumps all. And he has more of it with this collection of guys and he brings a speed component that gives defenses fits. Grant and Yant are not guarantees for anything but being in the rotation. Nebraska needs RBs who can flex and catch the ball. Against our two best opponents, Rahmir was one of the best players on the field. Had he not gotten injured, his numbers would have been better, and it is possible that Nebraska even wins an extra game or two based on his output (debatable I am sure). Regardless of that, he has room to improve and transitioning to a new offense, you need experience. He is that and then some for this team. He isn't traditional like an Allen or Ervin, but he is proven unlike those two. I imagine you will see 5-6 catches for Rahmir a game, and with his speed, he is going to house a ton. I see what you're saying and obviously we are at a numbers crunch. However, those are two guys we are going to have to rely heavily on whether behind the scenes or on the field.
  20. Logan and especially Rahmir aren't going anywhere. As it currently stands, Rahmir is a top 5 player on this team.
  21. DB on a few occasions has mentioned recently that Victor is looking like a guy who is going to struggle to play here. I think it is worth noting.
  22. Watch NYG line him up in the backfield haha. In all seriousness, there were many factors as to why it didn’t work out for him here and it had a lot to do with their trust in Adrian hitting him in stride, or the hits he was going to take going up the middle. His short arms scared our staff and interceptions became a theme in practice. Tie that in with Lubick being a very detached WR coach, and you have a bad recipe. Had he come in now, it would be completely different.
