  1. Tmart, Heard & Green will be one damn fast backfield. That's for sure. I don't know if it'll be the fastest in the nation but if not it's gotta be very, very close. don't forget..bell, abdullah, baptiste, reed who is prob the fastest TE. ok lets make it a little less bold, Easily the fastest team in the big ten. duh right and jamal turner. and if L. Ward can get some time at the H back. idk, either way we will be dynamic
  2. I'm going to go on record and say if nebraska puts all their best athletes on the field at once on O. they will be the fastest team in the nation..I say this because of one determining factor that gives them the edge....QB. and when i mean fast i mean foot speed, not tempo
  3. i think its safe to say what Beck and Bo are doing is taking all their athletes and putting them in every position to succeed. The one team who uses everyone they recruit is oregon. Nebraska knows they cannot waste talent anymore, if you can get guys like Currenski and L. Ward going, they will be that much more potent and deadly. it will also make this offensive transition a whole lot easier.
  4. well im sure one thing that was noted was currenki's build. he's got extrememly thick legs and is built low. honestly two years ago i wouldve liked this move. But it is spring and they are maybe experimenting with him. don't be surprised to see him back at wr in the fall or even late spring. as far as jamal. I wish he could be our qb down the road because of his leadership skills but i'm willing to see him play at his best. remember, this is spring, nothing is set in stone
  5. Nothing too big here but does it seem like whenever nebraska extends and offer to someone, U$C is always the next team to extend one. I think Monte has made an effort to target the same players, especially on D because of Bo's eye for talent. I'm sure he is also aware of the Nebraska way on molding 3 star players
  6. I was thinking more along the lines of a Noel Devine type back. But, I would take a Dexter McCluster too. I see Devine too aspeedlin, I think it is the hair. Boy talk about one of the sickest highlight videos I have EVER layed eyes on, too bad NU had higher academic standards then WVU back then. Everyone swore he would not qualify and he did just enough to slide into Morgantown. Well my reasoning is that he's the same size as Dexter and has the same burst. Only issue with the Noel comparison is that Noel has tremendous top end speed, which ameer and dexter did not posses (although they were fast). Idk, watch more tape and tell me. Dexter fit the small back roll but was more elusive then just pure speed. either player would be nice though.
  7. After watching his tape, i couldn't help but think of Dexter Mccluster.
  8. LaRon Landry, Craig Steltz and Chevis Jackson all say what's up. Two first team All Americans all drafted. Bo had some bad ass seconaries at LSU. yeah despite Dorsey, their secondary at LSU might've been their strongest unit of the team. Look, Marvin is great and will be missed. But everything goes through Bo and what he wants. I'm sure Raymond will ease in nicely since he knows Bo's philosophy.
  9. I think you have to take whats best for your program..Jason Phillips=good offense but no ties to neb, or Scott Frost, young but bleeds red and has been under some of the greatest minds in all of football and has been under the best offensive minded coach in college football for a few years. Scott can recruit with the best of them and thats much needed here. Whats better than positive results and loyalty? Oh and if Scott does come, he can always be the "coach in waiting" if bo decides to depart for some reason. just throwing stuff out there.
  10. I got to be honest with you guys, im extremely excited about this. I hate to lose Marvin but if Raymond is as good as advertised and can recruit then I'm happy. If Wats and Happy Gimore are really gone(they are) then i can only get really excited because I'm gonna put money on Scott Frost or Jason Phillips running a better spread offense in one year of installation then wats and gil with 5 years of prep. that excites me because an offense at Nebraska makes us at least top 5 year in and year out. plus! if it turns out the way we want it, then we can finally be Everything U because we are turning the corner in elite recruiting. oh and we can also get a WR now. i know, too much kool aid. only thing that scares me........Barney (He can recruit though)
  11. Houston's Offensive Coordinator Jason Phillips and(or) Scott Frost?
  12. We're down two coaches.Raymond is ours and I hope the frost rumor is true
  13. Smoke? Fire? Maybe. That link also says Bo isn't there, either. We're down 3 coaches apparantly, the recruiting class is signed. Bo has other things to worry about like getting our staff back together.
  14. I saw him play multiple times, his listings were false, and wasn't a stand out at all..next
  15. what i like about his tape is that you can see that he was too fast for not only the competition but his own teammates. the blocking wasn't that great because he was already in the second level by the time the ball was snapped. He also is a good looking athlete. His speed will improve even more when he trains properly
  16. The news finally became public. Dontraveyous Robinson is transferring to Montana St. His former qb teammate from HS goes there. I'm sure that is why we are recruiting for a second back
  17. He is the new target. I like that they are getting another back in this class, i think they needed more despite Braylon coming and maybe this is a sign of braylon possibly not coming, who knows. either way, he's an alabama boy and i like it. He will be visiting USC two weeks later Correction. Im sure this has much to do with the loss of Dontraveyous Robinson.
  18. Yeah i know none of it is new, i just got fed up with hearing these kids talk to be honest. A lot of the things i hear are just mind-blowing and sometimes flat out pathetic. I was just venting. I'm over it now
  19. I'm sorry professor, let me give you a structure. 1. Educating these players better. a. These kids need to be educated more so they can present themselves in a correct manner which enables them to garner respect not only as an athlete but as a student as well. b. Its very important because with more education they start to see things a whole lot differently. They don't choose schools for dumb and immature reasons. c. That is very important because then they can make better decisions about what university they will be attending for the next 4-5 years and also choose a place that can help them grow and see life in new and enlightening ways. d. Thats important because it makes these STUDENT athletes a lot more well-rounded. 2. They need to realize that some schools are going to baby them and give them what they want but not what they need. Nebraska is one of those schools that molds these kids into men no matter what kind of year they had on the football field. a. My rant on race. In no way shape of form was it a bash on any kind. It was a partial generalization that cannot be determined for every individual. Despite that there is much truth to it and it needs to be fixed. b. My part about the mothers being involved. I have no problem with a parent guiding their son to a clearly better choice or making the son evaluate everything but basically making the decisions for them is wrong. Regardless if that means we lose a recruit or two. If a kid is going somewhere because of some immature reason then i get it but picking for them because you want to control their lives is wrong. 3. I completely disagree. You can go to talent heavy places like Orgeron and score some elite talent and i better hope he can do something with them, i mean cmon hes a coach. I'll go with the, what have you done lately? Despite the fact that Carl and JP are the "defensive line coaches" it still all goes through BO and I'd like to believe you know that. So then it comes down to Bo vs Orgeron. Not even close if you ask me. Also Devante Wilson's line was thrown in there because it was a ludicrous statement and he clearly was brainwashed and unaware of plenty. I'm sure he remembers those players collegiate careers, not.
  20. I'm about an hour away from leaving to SD for the game but i wanted to say something about recruits. As a sociology major i understand that a lot of these kids come from low-income households which enables them to have the greatest of opportunities without having immense athletic talent but after reading these interviews by players and the things that come out their mouth makes me do things like this all the time. These kids need to be educated a whole lot more in high school so they can make BETTER decisions going into college. Some of it is because they are in "unfortunate" situations but there really is no excuse to not be able to carry yourself in a professional manner. Also some of the things they say tells me how badly they've been brainwashed and i hate to say that most of these kids do not have father figures so when a coach comes in and brainwashes them, they become robots and listen. I believe Devante Wilson said something about USC having better coaches? he clearly isn't all too bright and doesn't watch college ball. I know for a fact some players don't go to schools because its not "black" enough for them and that they cannot be "black" and have to act as an adult and become a man. Now i know not all players are african american and that there are many of them who are level headed and do things correctly but i'm not afraid to mention what everyone else is thinking. Its no secret. There's a much higher number of kids who are pretty ignorant in that sense. Another thing i cannot stand. When you leave the nest to become a man, its YOUR decision. These kids need to stop relying on MOM to make their final decisions. Unless they are going for all the wrong reasons like i mentioned. Education needs to be stressed in high school a lot more because these kids don't take it serious when they are in the recruiting process and thats why they pick the schools and do not benefit them in all facets of life. I see a lot of players going into the draft still boys and not men. I love how i can honestly say that Nebraska does things the right way and brings in boys and sends out men.
  21. This is exactly right. I heard the whole thing go down over the phone, my friend was working the front desk at Harper when him and Lazarri Middleton got back after getting MIPs, Josh was just on a recruiting visit. Talk about starting off on the wrong foot. Too bad for him, wish him well. and thats why Lazarri hasn't played a down all year. he too was in the dog house and from what i had heard was the third best CB on the team. Prince had mentioned he was right there with them. hard to believe... Believe it. Now when i say CB, im not talking in the category of gomes and Hagg because those are not their positions. Prince kept saying that he, dennard, and Lazarri were the ones getting reps as the ones. Since Lazarri got thrown in the dog house, they had to put Ciante in. It makes sense. How do you play with the ones during camp. Then not sniff a down either on d or special teams? the dude can play. ask anyone.
  22. He just changed his facebook name to Tevin "Just took 8 steps back from my dream" Mitchel. These kids need to be educated.
  23. Like anyone i hope Tevin does stay. he has all the potential in the world. If he chooses Ark then good luck to him but i know it will be because of what Ark is promising him and not what Nebraska can possibly give him. The SEC cheats. we all know that. In my opinion, the choice is a no brainer. Nebraska isnt a D-line U or DB-U, its a Defensive-U. That alone would do it for me. Academics are leaps and bounds over Ark (but as we know thats not a reason). He will struggle and only get recognition because he has all the physical tools but he will always be a project at ark. He should think about the long run at N. Spend time with your family now and suffer the long term consequences of not being a top prospect and not being able to make millions to support your family and also grow to be a man or go to N and become all of that and be apart of the blackshirt tradition and get that Big Ten Degree and be a top ten pick ( if he gets the grooming like prince and dennard, there is no doubt because he's a little more physically gifted than them)
  24. This is exactly right.
