  1. I like Zac but we all know they are Burrow’s boys. Who Dey! This almost makes all those years of watching bad football teams worth it.
  2. What a wild ride. A&M implosion, picking OSU when they had 2 first rounders (Haskins and Burrow) sitting behind JT Barrett, subtweeting Justin Fields (another 1st round pick) when Fields transferred to OSU, switching schools many times, and then retiring. Crazy to think that most coaches that recruited him are no longer head coaches (Urban, Sumlin, and Diaz).
  3. Who Dey! That was a long wait.
  4. If only we could decouple football from the other sports, shrink D1, have smaller conferences (10 or 11 team) that are regional based, and expand the playoffs. It would also be nice if we could stop acting like these are non-profits running football teams and cap certain resources.

    B1G Bowls

Both defenses were horrible in the Rose Bowl. However, JSN is the real deal and you can see why Williams left to go to Bama. Hard to get much playing time when you have that many great WRs on the team. CJ Stroud really progressed this season. He went from overthrowing guys to dropping dimes all over the field.
  6. Either way, Hawkeye is going to try and find some nurses and have a drink after the surgery.
  7. I used to hate needles, but after you get poked what seems like a 50x over a couple months period, you tend to stop caring. And no, I am not a drug addict. A covid vaccine shot is about a 0 on a scale of 1-10 when it comes to pain.
  8. That tweet leaves out a little bit of information. https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/omicron-variant-coronavirus-news-12-21-21-intl/h_4b2c2a65d6e94951dc987c52a4dd27f0 Saying that, get vaccinated and get boosted when you are recommended to get it.
  9. I wonder how many people are scared of needles and hide behind their politics. https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-58086377 I also wonder how many more people would take the vaccine if it was in a pill form. My brother-in-law basically passes out if he is in a hospital or doctors office for any period of time. He won't admit it but it seems as if he is afraid of needles as well.
  10. Maybe the faculty just wanted an early start on winter break. Too bad the staff probably had to stick around.
  11. May we have another 10 years before Michigan beats OSU in football.
  12. I don't know what I would have done if OSU would have lost to Michigan and Duke within a few days of each other.
  13. Why would Freeman go to LSU to be a DC when he may become the next HC at ND or somewhere else? I would laugh at ND but I don't think any team is safe from their coach leaving at a drop of a hat. Sometimes it isn't even for a better job.
  14. That is unfortunate for Wilson but I am sure someone will step up in his place even though they may not match his production.
  15. I'll take "out of context and never said for $500". I also don't think Burrow has said anything bad about OSU after the transfer. He sounded very grateful to OSU in his Heisman speech. I don't care about Urban but to say Ohio State was wrong and suffered because they picked Haskins over Burrow shows little context of what really happened. As I stated in another thread, Burrow broke his hand in 2017 and Haskins came into the Michigan game and won it for the Buckeyes. If Haskins doesn't go into that game and perform the way he did, Burrow probably would have been the starter the next year. Haskins ended up throwing for 4,831 yards (70%) and 50 touchdowns (8 ints) and went 13-1 in 2018. They ended up landing Fields after Haskins. Maybe OSU wins the NC with Burrow at QB but we will never know.
  16. Is there another dead horse to beat? I don't think Nebraska had Ja'Marr Chase on the roster along with all those other offensive weapons LSU had. Also, I think every other team outside of Cincinnati and LSU passed on him.

    Urban Meyer

I'm glad OSU has Ryan Day.
  18. I wonder if there are more Cincy or Notre Dame fans in Cincinnati. That is a catholic school hotbed for football.
  19. This is all of Harvard, but it looks like they jumped the gun. https://www.harvard.edu/coronavirus/testing-tracing/harvard-university-wide-covid-19-testing-dashboard/ Last 7 days positivity rate Harvard: 0.16% (40k tests) Mass: 2.09% Boston (14 day): 1.19% Cambridge (14 day): 0.37% On our campus we are extremely happy with a 0.6% positivity rate.
  20. Ohio State is playing a lot of freshmen and red shirt freshmen this year and they are not a very good team right now. It also doesn't help that they don't have Justin Fields at QB anymore. A Bosa or two would come in handy right now as well.
  21. Wouldn't both be a crap shoot at some point? I mean, if vaccine efficacy wans over time and not everyone has a strong immune response to the vaccine, will we ever really know without testing for antibodies or some other testing? Either way, immunizations and infections are the only way out of this. At some point in time it will be endemic.
  22. I agree with that and a list of other things I am sure, but I also don't feel the other party is clean as well. We can agree to disagree.
  23. COVID or overall? I agree that COVID isn't a both sides issue but overall both democrats and republicans are not acting in good faith. The media is also not acting in good faith and they are constantly creating content to drive profit.
  24. I think elected officials (both sides) and some of the press have been doing this on their own. They could all be more truthful.
